The J crew lookbook arrived today - anyone else get it? I'm loving the copy, interesting way of working with the US / English language differences. Love the male models (esp the one with the coat on his head)

I've had an eye test today - have ordered new glasses (although my prescription hasn't changed). Larger than my last pair - difficult to choose when you're on your own. Hope I've got it right. Can thoroughly recommend Boots ATM. I signed up for monthly plan on contact lenses, and got designer glasses half price - saved over £100.

More painful for DH as he took an unheard of sick day then ended up sorting the family chariot out.

Apparently Jenna Lyons wears total dentures because of a childhood disease called Bloch-Sulzberger syndrome or incontinentia pigmenti (IP), a genetic disorder that can cause skin scarring, loss of hair and malformed teeth. She has said she wears dentures.

Not so gilded a lifestyle as the fashion press would have you think. Life has been hard for her.

Marsha I keep trying with shirts but I feel really masculine in them. I did, however, find a great, cheap white shirt for work from H and M last year (I'm not sure cotton varies with price, just style,cut and buttons) which is v tailored, a slight gather on the shoulder and narrow sleeves, deep cuff...looks good tucked in or out.

QueenC you may find, like me,that after lots of PT sessions your legs change shape and you're more comfortable in skinnies. I have been surgically attached to my Gap real straight for a couple of years, have now got a grip, they do give and I don't like the Cossack look....think with calf boots trousers need to be close fitting.

Justa you missed the Nancy saga.....it was a great moment in my life! Seriously contemplated breaking into neighbours house to retrieve my parcel!

thanks for asking marsha. he left today. I am so sad I can't really talk about it. cried too much already so have just had a lovely dinner and glass of red wine with the tennis on and will retire with my kindle shortly.
