Cleanse tone and moisturise - do you really? Honestly?

My face gets wet in the shower. Bio oil for the dry bits. BB cream on a special occasion. I've always thought that the C/T/M mantra in magazines is an excuse to sell us three things not just one ie bit of moisturiser.
Will I look 20 if I start this CTM business? Is it just for people who wear lost of make-up/work down a pit? What do you lovely MNs do?

Morning: Cleanse with tea tree oil foaming face wash, exfoliate with Dermalogica microfoliant, moisturise with oil-balancing moisturiser, apply Duac benzoyl peroxide cream

Evening: Remove eye makeup, tea tree foam wash/dermalogica, Retin-A cream (I have a prescription cos I get a bit spotty but can't believe how many people are telling me I look younger!). Apply a bit of TCP.

I also take antibiotics daily.

My routine takes quite a while. I wait for things too soak in before I apply my makeup.

My skin actually looks alright just now. Fingers crossed!

'Mostly' used just soap and water and a variety of relatively cheap moisturisers. My skin's pretty good, even if I DO say so myself, ha!

I'm 61, and very few lines.

Yes, in the morning I put Liz Earle cleansing polish on my face, then I use the clarisonic Mia and wash it of using a muslin cloth with really hot water.
I then have a shower, get out and put Liz Earle tonic on face with a cotton pad. Once I'm dressed and my face has dried I put Olays touch of max factor foundation on if I'm going out. Then the rest of my makeup.
At night I take make up of with cleansing polish and muslin cloth, after this I put on Liz Earle skin repair moisturiser which is fabulous for my sensitive , dry in places skin.

I'm a beauty therapist so I have looked after my skin since I was 16 & started beauty college. I use a facial wash, eye gel & mosturiser with SPF in the morning. In the evening I use eye make up remover, cleanser massage over the skin , toner, eye gel & a night cream.
Once a week I use a facial scrub & deep cleansing mask.

I use face wash in the shower in the morning, I always wash my face with some kind of cleanser as washing with water alone won't get impurities off (would you wash your clothes without soap?). Then an SPF day cream and makeup. That's my morning. Night time it's just a cleansing wipe! No toners or serums and I work for a major beauty company Grin

If my skin is looking fantastic in my 60's.........then what's all this 'stuff' about?

Just askin'?

No, I don't bugger about with it. My reasoning being that the rest of my skin gets on just fine without being stripped of oil/then replacing oil every day so what's so special about my face. So just water.

Maybe about once a week if my hard-working hands feel a bit dry I'll give them some cream and smear the remainder on my face, but that's it.

I'm 41, but people assume I'm about ten years younger than that. Could be more to do with my feckless, childish behaviour
