Thanks again for the coat suggestions and all the congratulations for DD. I showed her the links today and she is very grateful.
Mig's suggestions:
Quilted - nice, but she would like longer
Hooded - very nice, a possibility
Lavenham - she doesn't like this style
Belted - would like longer
Liberty's suggestions:
Gil Bret - she's not keen (suspect she really wants a Barbour!)
Clements - not keen on colour, and as above
Barbour - would be my favourite, she likes it in olive
Linea - not Barbour!
Queen's suggestions:
North Face - lovely, but £££. (also not Barbour-DD)
I think we are narrowing it down to Barbour, waxed in an olive colour. I haven't yet told her that I will pay for it (she has an allowance which covers clothing and a part time job so is prepared to splash out). That will be a surprise! I am realistic (I know teenage girls), if she doesn't love it, she won't wear it. I am also conscious that -soppy alert- by buying her a warm coat, I am symbolically trying to 'wrap her up' and keep her warm (and safe). And I know she will value it, if she loves it, the CPW will come right down!
Dry no experience of Baukjen, but it looks like the skirt is less ruched (so I'd prefer the Me&Em as it is more forgiving). And well done to your DH!! That ring is gorgeous!
Liberty our recent holiday was in the west of Ireland, plenty of views like Anni's.
Welcome back Shop, glad it went well.
One and Mig well done on getting started for Christmas. Every year I vow I'll be different but never am. One I agree with Mig, I have worked with young people with ASD and know how hard it can be. It will have taken courage to make the decisions which were undoubtably right for your DS ( you have had it tough).
Foxy you have my sympathies! I still remember my utter despair when DS stopped napping. I was 6 months pregnant with DD and so determined I would get him to sleep that I exhausted myself walking him for miles in his buggy (it didn't work). DD never napped, but that is another story, she makes up fornit now!
Welcome stalked.
I haven't done the £1000 challenge, maybe tomorrow, but this post is already epic!
