Christmas shopping Shock
The problem for me is I have a string of 10 family birthdays before Christmas, so double gift buyingConfused
Nah think ill leave it til later cv
Although I admire you're organisation immensely . I'm going to be reclining in my bath chair post op anyway innit so Amazon will have to be my friend.
I'm going to try and do a big eBay soon. If its not strapped down its going up for auction. There is too much crap in this house that needs to go.

Probably too late but I did think of this MrsS for the cats here -we use the dog version on our travel sick dog...

That BTM is precisely why I don't buy school uniform until just before ds goes back!! He is right size/age for the moment - except he apparently needs to double his waist size....

bigTillyMint · 27/08/2013 09:29

Any eye-candy, MrsS?

bigTillyMint · 27/08/2013 09:30

Yes, well I deliberately bought it too big. I suppose it fits now - will just have to see how long for!

Blackduck · 27/08/2013 09:40

:)
I had a blazer I never grew into!

MrsSchadenfreude · 27/08/2013 09:56

I am planning on picking up a Feliway spray for the journey back in the car, BD.

No eye candy, BTM, but they are all a bit pungent.

Blackduck · 27/08/2013 10:05

Hope it works MrsS
So it's true the French don't wash ;) ?

Blackduck · 27/08/2013 10:13

Grr boiler man has cancelled.... He won't be getting the bathroom fitting work.....

bigTillyMint · 27/08/2013 10:29

BD, my French friend's teen didn't seem to, but all my friends do, thankfullySmile

Shame on boiler man.

Cremolafoam · 27/08/2013 10:29

Mrs s if you can get a sedative pill for kitties I'd recommend it. Confused

OP posts:
Blackduck · 27/08/2013 10:51

Tres annoying, but as he is halfway through the job (of fitting the boiler) we will have to grit our teeth and get it finished...

I worked with a French girl who was always beautifully dressed but did not have a close acquaintance with deodrant, or, it would seem, soap.....

MrsSchadenfreude · 27/08/2013 10:58

The kitten is shut in DD2's room. I hope we don't have a dirty protest. The vet has advised against sedation for the journey. I did have one cat who fought against the sedative. She was screaming from the top of the curtains and we had to carefully remove her (wearing ski gloves).

Cremolafoam · 27/08/2013 11:21

Oh mrs s maybe not then Confused

CointreauVersial · 27/08/2013 13:00

Grin at "pungent" removal men.

I find there is rarely any totty quotient when it comes to removal men; ours are inevitably wizened, ancient and grumpy.

Tree surgeons, however.....

Yes, I do apologise about the Christmas shopping, but we do have a vast family, so if I can strike off several of the menfolk in Ralph Lauren Outlet and a swathe of neices and nephews in Gap and White Company then that's what I'm gonna do. I will also be logging into Amazon in early December to mop up the remainder.

CointreauVersial · 27/08/2013 13:02

And I've booked Monday off to do the school uniform shop - talk about leaving it late.

Although I did spot a nice little tip on MN the other day, and have booked a Clarks shoe-fitting appointment online. No queuing with a numbered ticket for me!

bigTillyMint · 27/08/2013 13:05

CV, my cousin is a tree surgeonGrin Not in your neck of the woods though, boom, boom!

Had a fairly stressful trip to Decathlon with DS who of course wanted all the expensive stuff, plus there was virtually nothing left in black - school colours for many, obviously, although we had to get medium men's for size. Gulp.

Cremolafoam · 27/08/2013 18:10

I tried on the most perfect grey cashmere cardigan today- asymetric and unusual a perfect fit luxe and divine.
Ha ! It was £178
Boo
In my dreams

CointreauVersial · 27/08/2013 18:16

Crem - your mistake was trying it on!

Cremolafoam · 27/08/2013 18:18

I know.Sad
I will be dreaming about it now and fantasising how I am unable to live without it. Bolleaux....

bigTillyMint · 27/08/2013 18:46

Or hope that the local charidee shop gets one in stock soon!
Talking of which, this afternoon I spotted someone wearing a top very like one I had donated to a local charity shop. She looked great in itSmile

Cremolafoam · 27/08/2013 20:16

Btm I so doubt it on the charity shop front. Even our posh barnardos ( labels only) prides itself on its 'Poor Una' selection.
Blee. It is awash with lime swirl fabrics

OP posts:
MrsSchadenfreude · 27/08/2013 21:57

Crem - can you buy it and justify the outlay on a "cost per wear" basis?

Stropperella · 27/08/2013 22:08

Crem, if I am in that situation. I just spend a moment considering how long it would be before the garment got a hole/stain/shrank and this cures me of the desire to purchase it. Although this may only work for a klutz like me.

Stropperella · 27/08/2013 22:16

Our tree surgeon (note to self: remember not to buy house with lots of bastard expensive trees in the garden next time) is very nice but not v tasty. The accountant, however, has a remarkably tasty sidekick...

Cremolafoam · 27/08/2013 23:11

Stropps we're the same with the bastard trees. If I had even noticed them when we moved in( I was too busy skipping around the house saying look its almost The Country!)
We'd never have considered it.
Last quote for chopping tops of boundary hedge/ trees was £2000Shock

Re Le pull . I'm too scruffy to justify said item . It would have spag Bol down it after a day followed by copious weepage.Confused
