don't tempt me mig! i think by friday night I will need to put my cc in the freezer...

not that it would make any difference I know the numbers by heart

Hopefully · 12/08/2013 11:17

foxy I was always perplexed by credit card in the freezer, since I always knew the numbers!

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2013 11:17

Love that Foxy yellow is my favourite Balenciaga colour. One called mango, not sure if the same, and the curry one.

foxysocks · 12/08/2013 11:17

my favourite tees are wnag (fnar ), zoe k and j crew's vintage cotton range.

i won't touch linen tees after the zara fails.

OneLittleLady · 12/08/2013 11:19

I second mig about the New Look tees. I've got quite a few old ones and they've kept their shape brilliantly and the newer ones I've got have also served me well.

foxysocks · 12/08/2013 11:19

great minds, hopefully, great minds!

i'm not sure re: spending that much on a yellow bag marsha even though it looks lovely. the black bag hole in my wardrobe is perturbing me. it's strange, I have always been drawn much more strongly to tan and chocolate leather bags but this year I MUST have black for AW. maybe it's the grunge, it's finally got to me.

OneLittleLady · 12/08/2013 11:20

Embrace the grunge foxy I know you want to Grin

santamarianovella · 12/08/2013 11:23

mig you are right,i have a couple of james perse and c&c cali, and they are amazing, splendid are good but too thin ,i ordered a couple of kain tees at a bargain price and waiting for them to arrive any day now, hope they are worth all the hype!

foxysocks · 12/08/2013 11:27

just don't let me buy any DMs one don't worry i would never in a million years wear DMs

hope you feel better soon (((one))). we all feel shitty for the first few period days, i am in that stage atm too. be kind to yourself.

santamarianovella · 12/08/2013 11:28

foxy in my opinion balenciaga's best color is anthracite, very versatile ,

Hopefully · 12/08/2013 11:31

Oh and my favourite tshirts are Vince ones - not too £££ on shopbop, and seem to last well.

OneLittleLady · 12/08/2013 11:31

What's wrong with DMs foxy Grin I have a black velvet pair which I love. I wear them with the VW skirt I was kindly sent and fishnets Grin

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2013 11:32

Anthracite gorgeous too, for sure.

I keep getting drawn to the small black Celine on pin, and I never thought I'd go with black.

My 8 year old can make a stapler or peanut seem so interesting the 3 year old just has to have it. Every time!

Hopefully · 12/08/2013 11:34

Ooh, that yellow balenciaga is lovely. I thoroughly approve of bags in non-classic colours.

libertychick · 12/08/2013 11:43

Welcome back Decam was the weather good in Mayo? The lace top is lovely and so is the R&B bag. Grin at being caught in your PJ's by the neighbour. Anni that postie would be v unpopular in my house!

Torquoise I love that dress - but agree with Mig that the top is stunning too.

I am wearing a cardi in the office today for the first time in ages and tights!!! I dyed my hair yesterday - iced cocoa by L'oreal casting - it is a bit too dark but I love how glossy semi's make my hair and much more manageable so will have to play around a bit and find a better colour. At £6.49 for the colour it's so much cheaper than going to hairdresser...this is a routine cycle for me - I decide colour at the hairdresser is too expensive, spend 6-12 months doing it myself, then decide it's all to much hassle and the hairdresser does a better job Smile

LinusDKD · 12/08/2013 11:44

Lots of leather jackets on the outnet!

AmberNectarine · 12/08/2013 11:52

Like hopefully I love the Vince ones, also you all know my love for a Wang muscle vest.

I'm determined my bag purchase be of a decent size this time. I went through a spate of buying tiny bags while on mat leave, but they really don't fit with my lifestyle now I lug a laptop all the time. Did some pinning yesterday. Who knew there were so many nice bags!

Negroni · 12/08/2013 12:10

Hello all!

The thread is moving so fast - hope all of you on holiday are having a lovely relaxing time.

Love this thread for showing me lots of wonderful things!!

Decam that lace top is lovely - I have been admiring it in all the different colours.

Turquoise the dress is a beautiful colour and cut but I have to say I adore that top - it is really elegant.

Foxy I approve of bright coloured bags ( the yellow one!) but am really tempted by le pliage - I may buy in light grey for holiday/ autumn baby bag crossover.

Enjoying all the glasses links - we have no champagne flutes Shock but am loving the LSA coupes and the Riedel ones. Agree that the multicoloured plastic picnic ones may actually be the best for our family though otherwise I will be nervous and stressed and shrieking at everyone not to gesticulate and not to even move slightly if we use any half way nice ones!

foxysocks · 12/08/2013 12:16

i saw all your pins amber. gorgeous selection! have no idea how you are going to choose between them all.

one am sure you look great in DMs but they are definitely not for me

have got out of habit of checking outnet. will go and look now...

santamarianovella · 12/08/2013 12:18

amber if you had to choose three, which ones would you get?

i like the look of small crossbody bags, but i can never justify buying them,i always say,id rather save a bit more and buy a decent size bag enough for all my daily stuff, ideally with long strap and shoulder handles.

marsha do you mean the cline box bag? its really gorgeous .

mignonette · 12/08/2013 12:20

Do I detect some hormonal synchronising on this thread? I woke up in tears because I dreamed about my cat so definitely a bit of perin menopausal PMS...

I love my D M Biker boots. Won't wear any other brand as they have lasted over ten years. Need a new pair now.

Have just been to the stores and had a book buying spree- I got 'Narcopolis', 'The Art of Building', 'The God of Small Things', 'Scruples' (80's sex and shopping classic to re-read), and a biography of Andy Warhol. I also bought this dear little thing from an independent boutique.

Turquoiseblue · 12/08/2013 12:21

Hi mig, thanks for the welcome back. I ve tried some of those sites but the particular doesn't seem available, i' ve even contact waterford directly and they haven't been able to help. I ll have to mix and match, We don't do a lot of strictly formal entertaining anyhow. It s more i d be aware of it not all 'matching'.
OK then, maybe the top and MIHs in Dark indigo wash with heels... could do with a nice pair of heels. love the Hakei top too, they have some lovely stuff, I 'm wondering if I can order online, my spanish is terrible but when we re in Spain I often pick up quite a few bits from there. When i was in their store earlier in the year I tried on some stuff I left it behind and have been thinking about since !! Might try navigate their site in a bit.
Anni shame about the tee, any point in trying to rewash and reshape while damp?
Foxy - yellow bag is cute.
one - my Dh has quite a few pairs of camper shoes, they wear beautifully. might not be they right style for what your e looking for.

Actually as i mention Camper- I found their leather cleaning and protecting products did a wonderful job on sprucing up my mulberry tan mitzy, cant find a link for them.
One - am still in Pj s here having a right lazy day, hope you steeled on something to wear - a slick of lippie and some mascara and bronzer helps me on the bleugh days!

Drywhiteplease · 12/08/2013 12:22

Mig pool side not v glamorous yet! Usual stuff. Sun is shining Grin
I'm in gap bf navy shorts, mint green vest top, grey gazelles ready for boat trip to Herm which sounds fab.
The crab tart sounds delicious.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/08/2013 12:23

Oh my goodness, I feel as though I've been absent forever!

Re the T shirt discussion, my lovely slouchy, slubby vest from Hush has a bleedin' hole in it after one wear/wash and I've shrunk my Massimo Dutti linen vest on its second wash . My tissue-thin J Crew Ts, on the other hand, have worn and washed fabulously - no stretching, pilling, fading, holes or shrinkage. I will go to J Crew for all my jersey needs from now on, although my Zoe Karssen and Maison Scotch Ts are also bearing up very well (but a bit more ££ and none of them plain).

I've been looking at a few AW bits lately and ordered this shirt and these shoes as I liked the way they'd styled them in the catalogue (I already have the leather leggings - although mine are 'faux'). Now seeking a good. black handbag and am a bit taken by this and this, even though it was this one I went on the website to find. Opinions?

mignonette · 12/08/2013 12:28

Grumpy I like the mini Willow tote best for every occasion use but the SW Study tote would suit this seasons's 'Lady' look very well. It is very 'posh Wang'.

The shoes are very 'Dorothy goes gold'. Love them.
