i absolutely agree on the balenciaga anthracite. it's so me and would be v useful. hmm.

I love the god of small things, mig. one of my favourite books ever.

mignonette · 12/08/2013 12:31

Cannot believe I haven't read it Foxy I read the Garden of evening Mist' and was spellbound. The way some authors weave magic with words.

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2013 12:36

Hi Grumpy yes like the willow and study best, love the shoes. Agree on J Crew vintage or is it tissue can't remember, really good.

I'm reading a Don Delillo atm and not really enjoying it, bah. Will need to replace, haven't read god of small things yet, good to get ideas from here.

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2013 12:37

Santa yes I think so! Not sure on name but looks like a box bag. Will check it out.

foxysocks · 12/08/2013 12:44

my favourite recent read has been Capital, John Lanchester. excellent.

does anyone know if there are whistles codes kicking around, or upcoming promotions planned? i'm going to order that dress i have been dithering over for ages but would rather not pay FP.

foxysocks · 12/08/2013 12:45

marsha we must hit the bag dept at our meet, as a matter of urgency.

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2013 12:46

foxysocks · 12/08/2013 12:49

cute carven tulle skirt

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2013 12:50

Love that.

McNally · 12/08/2013 13:40

Gorgeous skirt foxy

InMyShreddies · 12/08/2013 13:54

Hello ladies. Dipping in and out here!

Any fans of Becksondergaard scarves - there are lots on sale at Coco Marie atm here - I dithered and missed out on the one I wanted though. I ordered this beauty from Glassworks which will go with my majority navy blue A/W wardrobe.

Tees - I was in New Look at the wkend and they had really nice boxy but longish basic pure cotton tees with rolled sleeved in lots of colours. Will def be getting a couple. New Look basics vary in quality but these were winners.

Amber please get either the Gucci Disco (my dream bag which I don't have the discipline to save for) or the Saint Laurent duffle.

OneLittleLady · 12/08/2013 14:02

Turquoise you would LAUGH if I wore bronzer. I am so pale that even the palest of bronzer type things make me look like an umpa loompa. I kid you not. It's pinks and peaches all the way here, even then I have to be careful not to overdo it!

That skirt is almost perfect foxy I just want one with a little more length but that is definitely the style I'm looking for

mignonette · 12/08/2013 14:36

InMyShreddies That is a lovely blue scarf. I have an Edina Ronay pale willow green leopard scarf found in TK Maxx.

Amber have you seen the Carolina Herrera and Prada totes? The former come in wonderful colours priced at £840 and the Prada is £1250.

How cute is this Proenza sheepskin clutch? And adore this and for anybody with a red bag sized hole [http://www.proenzaschouler.com/collections/fall-winter-2013/accessories/ here]].

mignonette · 12/08/2013 14:37

Proenza

OneLittleLady · 12/08/2013 14:43

That red bag is lovely mig maybe I should put it on my christmas list? Grin

shopafrolic · 12/08/2013 14:43

Hi gorgeous Voguettes!
Anni I've washed my linen tee twice now in a laundry bag on the hand wash cycle in my machine with some Woolite - no problems at all - definitely call them for a replacement. The vintage crew has also washed fine this way too.
I'm doing okay, trying to relax into being told what to do! But I stood my ground this morning and we went into Norwich shopping. Shoes for DS and a genuine Panama for £30 for me. So that solves the hat dilemma for now. Loads of relatives turning up tonight to meet and greet DS! V full on no doubt. Blakeney tomorrow (one of my favourite places) and steam train rides on Thursday.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/08/2013 14:57

Sounds like a nice time Shop. Well done on the Panama - bargain! DH has now decided he wants one, after pinching mine at every opportunity on holiday. I know he'd never wear it if I bought him one of his own though.

Thanks for the bag input - I've decided the Willow mini is the way to go and have ordered online. I absolutely adore the Study, but I know I wouldn't get masses of use from it. I find quite alot of the Stuart Weitzman goes in the sale though, so even if I have to wait until January I may still get it.

foxysocks · 12/08/2013 15:19

i love the willow, grumpy, it's a classic. good buy.

BrandyAlexander · 12/08/2013 15:36

Why do I always leave it so late to get dh's present? STREEESSSSS! That's it. Thank you.

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2013 15:37

Grumpy good choice on the bag, it was my first favourite. (ha)

QueenC I saw this look and thought of you. I could see you with brogue shoes, red bag and that kind of look. I know she has dark hair, but hey you are a blonde winter.

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2013 15:38

Oh Novice how long have you got?

Dauphin · 12/08/2013 15:39

Hello. Back from lovely hols in SW France...wonderful! Used a Pliage for everyday bag in orange. Really useful and good on the beach.

Am on no clothes buying schedule now as have so many things to buy for the new house. Almost there, we came back to most of the windows installed. So pretty. I am enjoying choosing bathrooms, lighting and paint colours (you'll be pleased to hear Marsha!) etc. so not all bad.

I love Panamas and bought a straw Panama shape for the beach from a wonderful french market near La Rochelle. Also vintage linen sheets with drawn threadwork which have washed up beautifully and a white china soup tureen which is beautiful and functional.

Fell in love with a large metal Michelin tyre (with cute cartoon Michelin man) wall plaque for DS's room but was 450e ! So no go.

DS satisfied with french Tintin books. In french, but he loves the cartoons.

Decam - I am a sucker for a lace top! Lovely one,

Dauphin · 12/08/2013 15:42

Oh and reading Marianna by Monica Dickens....just finished Barbara Pym. Good reads. If you like that sort of thing.

libertychick · 12/08/2013 15:43

Me too Novice and DH never lets me forget that I was late etc. What are you getting him - men are so hard to buy for IMO.

Grumpy good choice on the willow tote - it's gorgeous and v classic design.

I like that look you pinned for QueenC Marsha - I want a cape or coatigan and brogues for this winter too!

BrandyAlexander · 12/08/2013 15:56

It's this week. Stress stress stress! Dh plans my presents weeks in advance and gets me lots of things, but each one is perfect. Like he will suddenly remember a cd or dvd I said I liked months ago, or always gets me shoes/bags and bling. After being rubbish the last couple of years, I was determined to do better this year. I am ignoring the soppy anniversary card he gave me while I had to fess up I hadn't even got him a card right....back to stressing.
