oh i used to LOVE tammy girl.

right, the boden jumper is true to size i would say. i ordered an 8 and a 10 as sometimes have problems with jumpers not being slouchy or long enough. this is plenty big in an 8, i could have gone to a 6 tbh, but kept the 8 as I liked the silhouette over skinny jeans. the arms are quite fitted, which i like as it stops it looking too messy, but i think some do not like (if you check the reviews).

children driving me bonkers . have glass of prosecco to make it through their supper/bath/bedtime.

DH texted earlier to say I'm doing brilliantly on my own and to order the dress I like as a thank you for this week. it's this one, looks like I got the last in my size but there are some on the whistles website.

if it's a keeper am going to wear with le pliage, silver sandals or havs right now, then layer up with thick tights and a cardigan, or even over a thermal long sleeved top once it gets even colder. the sleeves and length mean it will work well in india. i absolutely LOVE the pockets. it would also work with my yellow/zebra sandals as a clash i reckon. OH also with jalouse and a parka! ooo i can think of loads of combos, with leather jacket, cobalt cashmere scarf and slouchy suede boots could be another winner for AW

Paris I also used to wear Amarige perfume as a teenager in the late 80s/ early 90s! I thought it was wonderful....and still associate it with that time.

talking of winter boots - how early is too early to decide which ones you want? I have seen a pair that I absolutely LOVE but a. they are expensive and b. I will only buy one pair of boots this AW so I don't know that choosing/ordering in august is the best idea! thoughts?

Paris Great answers. DD was a disciple of Tammy Girl in its mid 90's heyday and I agree, fashion can look depressingly famiiar and 'round the houses'. Am intrigued by your Wedding Day earring description.

Foxy You do have your DH well trained. Well done you! . Am liking your dress combinations- especially the Zebra and yellow and with silver. Think it's look good with rust/burned oranges/silvers too or metallic gold.

I followed Ruth Picardie's columns in the paper when she recorded her experiences with a terminal diagnosis and bought her book. Justine Picardie used to be married to Kirsty McColl's brother Neill so had the enormous tragedy of Kirstie's death too. We were in Mexico then Florida at the same time as she was killed and I have always felt some sort of 'connection' since then. Justine is now Editor in Chief of Harpers Bazaar and got re-married to Phillip Astor and his huge Scottish estate.

That is a lovely and very versatile dress foxy!

And I bought two pairs of winter boots this week

The Colts and the J. Choo bikers I loved so much but DH hated. Well, I didn't pay for the last ones myself but DH did because he saw how much I liked them so he gave me his cc when I went shopping with DM and told me to go and buy them. DM contributed as well so 1 boot is her early birthday present to me.

santa one I am thinking about giving pilates a go as well now that DD is going to go to nursery a few days a week. I hope that pilates and going swimming will help me lose weight and tone up.

I haven't set foot on the scales for about two weeks now but I fear that I have gained the three kilos I lost before going on holiday and maybe a bit more as well.

novice nice prezzies for DH. I also find it difficult to buy for DH as he usually buys his techie gadgets himself, like our robot hoover which he loves and has given a nickname

DP's have a robot lawnmower and they love it, especially DF who know watches it mown the lawn with a glass of wine in his hand instead of having to mow it himself.

Oh and I bought the Kindle version of the J.Picardie book as well but first I have to finish reading The Paris Wife, a book about Ernest Hemingway and his wife living in Paris.

I'm still on the hunt for my perfect tulle skirt. I've recently come to the conclusion that I'm probably not going to lose weight any time soon so I need to embrace the shape I am right now and try and focus on it's positives instead of being negative all the time. It may or may not work, we shall see

Takes some courage to maintain that front too One. And good for you re embracing yourself the way things are. In my experience, taking the pressure ofweight loss off can be enough to start the process anyway. And the Dietician is a good move as they can advise on high bulk low calorie foods that do not make you feel deprived. Unfortunately carbs are the natural 'friend' of mood disorders due to the Serotonin factor. They naturally calm and tranquilise and your subconscious knows that. It is very hard to keep weight down on certain medications and not enough is done to educate HCPs on that and how it affects peoples volition in taking them.

I LOVE that blue skirt! I've just pinned it onto my A/W wishlist.

Full on day in Blakeney, crabbing off the quay, crab salad and chips for lunch. DS had an absolute meltdown but has crashed out now. Just tomorrow night to go and then we move on elsewhere...... FIL v low. It's tiring. Hoping to go out for dinner with DH tomorrow night for a breather.

I've just looked up the zara jacket Grumpy I'm it's lovely. I'm never quick enough with these things, I always miss out on the things I like in sales and such like online. I'm more an 'in the flesh' bargain hunter

We borrowed a friend's Ferrari for a weekend about 12 yrs ago. Swapped cars...he took try purple polo ( plus baby car seat!!! ) ...cost more to put him on my insurance than to put DH on his ......loved having that car!

It is a nice jacket one and I did get compliments on the one occasion when I wore it. But as a shorty I just feel a bit overwhelmed by it, not helped by the fact I mysteriously bought a medium when I am usually a xs or s at the most. It does need someone taller than me (not quite 5'2")

shop I wore my Jimmies today as well, they are still my favourite pair of jeans.

Today I saw a dress in the Maison Scotch shop window and I had to think of you as it was a lovely olive green but I can't link as they don't have it on their website. Will try and find it elsewhere.
