I am sooo fed up with trying to find a well fitting bra, preferably nice looking and adding a bit of "volume" in my size...
I'm starting to feel like a freak!
Am i really the only person in the world with really small breasts and a slightly larger ribcage?
Every bra I find is either too tight around my chest or has gaping cups. I need a wired one as any others leave me looking completely flat-chested.
Any suggestions of shops or online retailers would be greatly appreciated!

I sent a letter of complaint to M&S a while ago regarding one of their rude and incompetent bra fitters. I explained my full complaint then suggested they asked all their directors, if men had to have support garments which required having their testicles measured and fitted, would they be happy to be treated as I had been? I had a very nice letter back and some gift vouchers but it hasn't made any difference as the rude woman is still there

Can I jusy say this has improved my life dramatically.

just been bra shopping after posting my measurements the other night and ive gome from a 36b to a 32dd.

ive been so down about my lack of boobs amd considering surgery but now ive got a properly fitting bra they look bigger more perkier and my waist is more defined. I cant quite get over the difference!

the only shop I could go in was m&s and they had some really pretty bras and I refused the measuring service when she offered Grin

My friend is 30 and 38. What sizes should she try?

SorrelForbes · 20/02/2014 14:17

30FF

WowserBowser · 20/02/2014 14:22

Thank you

I took your advice, statistically, and went to bravissimo today, the fitter thought I am a 38C, so obviously they couldn't help me. A big different to your suggested 38F but my measuring would have been rubbish. She tried me in a 38D t-shirt bra with quite stiff cups and they were gaping at the top. A bit depressing! Thanks for your time and help though.

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/02/2014 18:06

Surprised she tried you in a T-shirt bra as they are the worst for gaping even when they're the right size!

spleenyone · 20/02/2014 18:20

I don't know much about this bra malarkey but I was in there less than five minutes before sorry I can't help you! What would you do now? It seems 38 is right for the back measure, maybe I'll buy some 38Cs and see what they're like. Basically I had no idea of sizes as all my bras are so ancient!

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/02/2014 18:31

That's really unusual and surprising tbh. I'd try ordering maybe a 38C and D but in something unpadded - a simple balconette style probaby so that you can assess the fit without gaping. I have had moulded bras 2 sizes too small which still gape at places.

spleenyone · 20/02/2014 18:35

Ok great I will do that- thank you!

coffeewithcreamm · 21/02/2014 08:58

I'd be very grateful for a 29.5 under & 36 over, conversion for my sister, please!

SorrelForbes · 21/02/2014 09:32

Tell her to try a 28FF/F and a 30E/F

coffeewithcreamm · 21/02/2014 12:08

Ace, thank you!

brb505 · 28/03/2014 00:21

i thought i was 38a and reading comments i`m confused, im 36under 40-41 what size should i try ???

StatisticallyChallenged · 28/03/2014 09:07

Try 36d and dd.

mal1990 · 26/04/2014 18:23

Hi wearing a 34DD bra but I don't feel like it's right I just measured myself and im a 33and half under the bust and a 42 around the bust so what size does that make me? X

SorrelForbes · 26/04/2014 18:49

Try a 32G/GG and a 34FF/G.

What fit issues have you got with your 34DD? Have you got overspill/quadboob?

mal1990 · 26/04/2014 20:50

Quadboob im constantly looking down and realising I have 4 boobs and having to rearrange myself it's so embarrassing lol

SorrelForbes · 26/04/2014 21:21

Have you scooped? I am guessing that the quadboob would become octoboob!

Try the sizes above, you definitely need a bigger cup!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 26/04/2014 22:01

I've been interventioned before but am now 27 weeks pregnant. I'm wearing a 30H most days (except for the days when I need a plunge bra and resort to an ancient clapped out 34F, ahem). New measurements 32, 42/43. So that's an, um, 32GG or H. Is that right?

Is 27 weeks a good time to buy bras or will I expand some more? Will go Google adjusting bras to be nursing bras for future reference.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 26/04/2014 22:03

Should I buy a 34 band in case my rib cage grows some more?

mal1990 · 26/04/2014 22:07

I will try thank you ?? x

SorrelForbes · 26/04/2014 22:27

TooExtraImmatureCheddar I'd try a 32 on the tightest hook as that'll tell you if there's room to expand. If it's too tight, get a 34.

justadreameruk · 26/04/2014 22:44

Probably going to embarrass myself now, have been wearing 34-38B for forever as I've changed sizes. Now at my biggest and nearly 21 wks pregnant. Just got the OH to help me measure and he got 40/49. How wrong am I? Xx
