A well fitting, smart/sexy and preferably push-up bra size 38A... impossible???

I am sooo fed up with trying to find a well fitting bra, preferably nice looking and adding a bit of "volume" in my size...
I'm starting to feel like a freak!
Am i really the only person in the world with really small breasts and a slightly larger ribcage?
Every bra I find is either too tight around my chest or has gaping cups. I need a wired one as any others leave me looking completely flat-chested.
Any suggestions of shops or online retailers would be greatly appreciated!

and M&S writes on the same page: 'Underband should be snug but with enough room to fit two fingers underneath it.'

Well darlings, if you put a woman measuring 30 into a 34 band, she can get 2 fists underneath, with room to spare. Explain that!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/02/2014 09:40

Ok I'm measuring at 30 underneath and 38 at the biggest part while leaning slightly forward Blush

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/02/2014 09:41

Should say that today I'm wearing a 38 FF

WowserBowser · 20/02/2014 09:44

Right! Just got a bra through the post!

30f fits like a glove! I've gone from a 34c. So much more comfortable. Thanks! Thanks

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/02/2014 09:44

Can I just confirm that-measure 30 and 38 and currently in a 38ff? it should be floating around your body and barely touching your boobs!

HazleNutt · 20/02/2014 09:48

ahh I just watched the M&S perfect fit video. The bands are wrinking, last woman's bra is nowhere near sitting flat in the middle, the poor woman in the black push-up has underwires on her belly, not under boobs..My eyes!!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/02/2014 09:49

Yep, right measurements, Blush it doesn't fit, the band is loose and baggy and the cups are squishing everything all over the place.

I don't know what a decent bra feels or looks like.

I have always been told I have giant boobs, even when I was a child Sad I'm only a size 10, 5ft.

M&S tried to hoist me into a 38C Hmm which needless to say was horrible.

I'm truly lost in a sea of floaty, baggy, ancient, over washed bras.

MrsCakesPremonition · 20/02/2014 09:56

tits you need to lean so far forward that your back is almost horizontal to the floor.

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/02/2014 09:57

The reason I'm confused is that your measurements suggest a 30ff. that's a lot smaller in the cup than your current bra which is designed for someone who measures 46 around. The last thing it should be doing is squashing your breasts as it should be enormous in cups and back. Also a 30ff isn't that big and from your description I think you have quite big boobs. at a 10 30 underbust sounds right but I'm a bit confused by the cups

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/02/2014 10:00

I only leaned forward slightly, I'll try again with more leaning. Smile

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/02/2014 10:06

As close to ninety degrees as poss and measure round the lowest hanging bit. DONT pull the Tape tight-you dont want to squish tissue

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/02/2014 10:09

Ok so here's what I've done, I've gone upstairs into a spacious room. Whipped bra and top completely off and really measures thoroughly. Blush

V. Different Results compared to my downstairs tiny loo and trying to measure under clothes/bra Blush

So in all my glory I'm getting

32 under
and a fricking 46 at the biggest point whilst leaning right forward, Jesus I'm a freak aren't I?! BlushSad

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/02/2014 10:14

If it makes a difference I have on breast that hangs lower that the other when leaning 90 degrees Blush

StatisticallyChallenged · 20/02/2014 10:16

Ok that makes so much more sense. The under measure should be done tight and upright and given you are a 10 I suspect that was correct at 30? If so 30 and 46 suggests a 30kk as a start size. If it's 32 then start with a 32jj.

You are not a freak. No way mo how. Are you still feeding btw?

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/02/2014 10:18

No I'm not feeding, I stopped about 6 months ago. Smile

I didn't know bras went up to that size!

Thank you for being so kind. Thanks

TitsalinaBumSquash · 20/02/2014 10:25

I've ordered one in both sizes to see which is the better fit. Smile

washngo · 20/02/2014 10:56

Can anyone help me, I measured as instructed and get 30 and 36 inches. What size does that make me? I wear a 34b from m&s at the mo..thank you :)

HazleNutt · 20/02/2014 11:14

you need around 30E

washngo · 20/02/2014 11:17

Thank you HazelNutt!

washngo · 20/02/2014 11:21

I'm looking on the Next website and all the bras start at 32?

WowserBowser · 20/02/2014 11:23

I ordered mine off Amazon as there were quite a few 30s and i just really wanted to try one!

MrsCakesPremonition · 20/02/2014 11:23

Try the Bravissimo website instead.

washngo · 20/02/2014 11:25

I'm looking on the next website, and can only see 30DD, would that be about right?

washngo · 20/02/2014 11:28

Sorry - posted first post then realised next did have some, but not in E!

SorrelForbes · 20/02/2014 11:35

Beware of ordering from Next as I believe they miss out the double letters like FF and GG (as do M&S)
