linus they are on the generous side,a medium will be fine. im thinking of getting the one with side slit too.

hopefully when you get to week 2 and start doing the 2 min cardio plank workout, thats when you will wanna die,i always pause through it, a 4 mile run is a breeze compared to it!

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2013 13:07

Pleased about the Marant for H&M thing will be good.

Foxy do you do maxis? Am thinking of tall people on here.

shopafrolic · 11/06/2013 13:10

Hello, hello. Yup, I do maxis Marsha but they have to be just right - too short and I look like an idiot so they have to almost hit the floor, and be quite fitted at the hips.
I have this swooshy Hobbs one and also this Me&em maxi dress

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 11/06/2013 13:10

Me too Marsha. Of all the designers I'd like to be able to afford, Marant has to top the list (and Burberry Prorsum, but that ain't never gonna happen)

foxysocks · 11/06/2013 13:12

yes, I have two maxi dresses. one from hush, one from velvet, much prefer the latter and it's more vesatile. what are you thinking?

btw those white jeans have just come back into stock in my size. £63!! shall I press buy?? am starting to think they could be tremaze. rock chick stylee.

foxysocks · 11/06/2013 13:12

yep agree with shop, MUST be long enough. great with little fitted denim jacket and flat sandals.

shopafrolic · 11/06/2013 13:13

Buy them Foxy!
Meant to say, maxis are definitely a summer dress down thing for me - tucked in grey tee and flat sandals, no jewellery. Not a dress up IYSWIM.

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2013 13:16

It's fab I agree Grumpy. Marni was exciting but it didn't really suit me. Love Isabel Marant and it makes it easier to buy it. Feels like it works well.

Shop they're nice. I can do a dress (or at least I have one) but always feel I have too much material about my person or something with a skirt. I don't have a single one. I should see if there's one I can do.

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2013 13:17

Do it Foxy it's fate!

santamarianovella · 11/06/2013 13:22

marsha im sure its gonna be huge!marni and lanvin collab were very popular and crazy, but i think this will definitely surpass it,think the queue will be for miles,

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2013 13:23

Am wearing Sandro holey knit type sweater today. It's probably the least functional item I own. It lets so much air in it's not a sweater. Cold!

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2013 13:25

It'll be nuts Santa, it's not until November, five months of build up.

shopafrolic · 11/06/2013 13:28

Foxy I've PM'd you

shopafrolic · 11/06/2013 13:29

Just in time for my birthday then Marsha!
And YY to trying a maxi, I can totally see you working the relaxed vibe x

MarshaBrady · 11/06/2013 13:33

Thanks Shop! Will have a ponder about what type.

J Crew is November too, I predict much excitement all round. Grin

foxysocks · 11/06/2013 13:34

argh am having shopbop fear re: returns. I wish i had tried them on / seen in flesh so i know what i'm buying, you know? £27 for returns is a bit crazy when donna ida etc sales are just around the corner (hopefully)

foxysocks · 11/06/2013 13:36

AND extra £20 in shipping/customs. not so bargainous! think will leave (again)

shopafrolic · 11/06/2013 13:48

Gorgeous Helmut Lang dresses on the Outnet....

Foxy wise move I think

MrsRadicchio · 11/06/2013 13:52

Agree with you re all those hidden costs Foxy, prob worth waiting for the sales. Are the jeans you want in stock in the UK?

Re maxi skirts, I am thinking I need a denim jacket to wear with mine - any recommendations?

I like the H&M collabs but I hate the queuing etc that goes with it, and the way stuff ends up on ebay at grotesquely inflated prices.

I think I may have gone mad but I am considering some of these. I saw a lady in the park wearing a pair with a really nice mac (couldn't see brand v well but it looked like barbour but I can't see anything similar online) and carrying this bag. She looked great, casual but everything looked really good quality. Also saw a woman wearing dungarees and a floral quilted jacket, loved her look too.

QueenC yes agree white won't work for November. Maybe the red with a caged sandal shoe like Novice has?

Linus I rate the american apparel tube skirt, but I don't think it is particularly cut for petites, I am 5'7"

Hello to everyone else, am so behind with the thread wanted to post before it runs away even more.

Annianni · 11/06/2013 14:00

I've missed loads on here.
But I've managed to read almost 3 books which is good.

I've ordered yet another pair of boots.
They're on my pin, brown Michael Kors ones from the outnet. Not going to link on here, incase I need another size.

Which jeans are they Foxy?
Is there no way to try some irl?

mignonette · 11/06/2013 14:02

Shop

I've been wearing Hasbeens a few years now. They are my summer equivalent of my Winter Frye boots. I have the tan ones, the faded red ones and a pair of pale blue that a friend gave me back in 2009.

Love this quote from their site -

Her name was Anita and she was the hottest mum in all of southern Sweden in the 1970?s. While smoking Camel she screamed at her kids until her curlers fell out and just looked fabulous in her white high-heeled clogs

My kind of parenting style.......Wink

I love the Me&Em black long dress- a very contemporary take on a Maxi.

Hopefully - I have so many tube skirts. They were practical for ward mufti especially, no risk of flashing thigh in front of patients if I had to get on the floor or chase after anybody. I'm not ward based any more but the habit of buying them never left me. Goodness knows how many permutations of stripes/colours/geo patterns I own.

Today I am actually wearing a navy/white geometric patterned tube skirt (amazing Matalan bargain), a white slouch C+C California T, a black Sportsmax stretch jersey blazer,an old old pair of Marni black crochet applique slingback pumps and Marc by Marc Jacobs cotton jersey scarf in black/white writing print. I am wearing an unusual perfume by Stephen Jones for Commes Des Garcons-

pinterest.com/pin/457326537131149579/

I'm looking for more geometric print straight leg/cigarette leg pants with some white/cream or black as one of the print shades. I have blue geo print and a rose/blue/cream print so any other shades would be a change. I also like the woven or 'basket weave' style prints or textiles.

MrsRadicchio

Bring on Jellies. My goodness they were coveted at my school in the late seventies/early eighties along with 'Tucker' boots and Kickers.

How proud I felt walking into Monday morning registration in my new bright blue Jellies....All eyes were upon my feet.

Also good for avoiding nasty biting things in the sea....Grin

MiC spectacularly good. Tat-Phoebe is an acidic little madam isn't she? This quote below is on her blog. She seems to assume we have no cognitive function at all....

This is one of my favourite songs to listen to when I run along the Thames. SBTRKT is pronounced 'Subtract' and was created by Aaron Jerome

You know I would never have guessed that 'SBTRKT' meant 'subtract' without that considerate 'translation'....

Horizontal Striped tube skirts don't exaggerate curves. Latest research seems to indicate that horizontal stripes don't add width, rather they define and flatter a figure. Go for it......

AmberNectarine · 11/06/2013 14:36

Got me some new shoes
