Booze McNally!

Ha ha ha! Of course! Thanks shop!

mignonette · 09/06/2013 13:26

Novice Good for you. feel free to PM me about your new charity as I'd be keen to hear about it. And Bonne Chance with your trip/speech etc. I too am a Helmut Lang girl. I have pants, jackets and T's going back twenty odd years from him that are still holding their own both style wise and in quality.

Am appalled at StepD's complacency re card safety. She allowed a bar to take her card to keep behind the bar for 'tab security'. I'm fairly sure that is the source of the fraud and have called the police. But to compound matters, she has been using public PC's at work to access her bank accounts and emails and when she used my laptop last night she failed to properly close down her email account and bank details. Upon logging on today, all her details popped up on my screen. Her email account has documents including her Mother's job applications/CV, that of her ex, private public service documents and client details without password protection. I haven't looked at them but need to find a way of eliminating them from my laptop. I am so angry with her. She's been told before.

McNally - Love the Theory dress. There's a Theory clearance on Cocosa.

Today I am wearing Apricot J Crew Cigarette pants, cream marl American Apparel sweatshirt and tan kid Carvela thong sandals (and my toes are blue with cold). trying to compensate for bare toes by entwining an Edina Ronay cream leopard print scarf around my neck which was also a TK Maxx find. I have to go to the allotment later on but DH wants to watch Canadian Grand Prix so may bail out.

Linus Can you imagine what the bling will be like at the impending Ecclestone daughter's wedding? A figure of 12 mill has been bandied about. I do hope that is nonsense because that is horrendous.

mignonette · 09/06/2013 13:28

Oh and I absolutely love that John and Pearl necklace, McNally. Makes me want to break my own 'no jewellery, hardly ever' habit.

LinusDKD · 09/06/2013 14:51

Lots of Z Karssen on sale at Asos.

LinusDKD · 09/06/2013 16:12

Spent the afternoon in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Loads of pics of plants and the sculptures and it seems my welsh blood took over as I have dozens of pictures of the sheep Hmm Grin

mignonette · 09/06/2013 19:36

I'd like to go there OneLittleLady.

Drove past on way back from Leeds, overshot the slip road and couldn't face a detour.

One day, one day.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 09/06/2013 19:40

Evening all. Absolutely shattered tonight after super busy weekend.

Drove 230 miles yesterday afternoon to go out on a family dinner last night. Wore nude Theory blouse, cobalt Wayf track pants, gold Other Stories flats accessorised with leopard pony skin foldover Clare Vivier clutch, gold/turquoise drop earrings and ring. Nails were Essie bubblegum pink 'Off The Shoulder' (did I mention I'm a nail polish fiend?) Dinner was lively and great at a new restaurant in Westbourne (near Bournemouth). Got a few hours sleep, the up at 6.20am to drive home as we had racing at Nottingham today and DD2 has Stagecoach. Dropped her off and came home to get ready for racing - Off white Baxters, Navy Gap superfine cotton sweater, C de C cobalt/black/white jacket and navy Rag&Bone Newburys (to break them in). Picked DD2 up, got her changed in the car park Blush and straight to the races. No luck today, but at least it afforded me an early dart to get to Waitrose and home to do laundry. Now slobbing in old Jack Wills skinny track pants and striped T. Fit to drop, but it all starts again tomorrow - Royal Ascot prep week! I know we have a lunch/racing appointment next Sunday, so I'm really trying to keep Saturday free to catch up. It's just that time of year, I s'pose.

Barbie1 · 09/06/2013 20:06

Still no time to do a proper post so I'm skim reading Blush

Eye cream.

Yes very important! The skin is infinitely thinner around the eye thus making it so much more delicate and prone to aging, showing signs of ill health and tiredness.

The eye area needs a different type of moisturizer to the face due to the thinness. Eye cream tend to be less heavy then normal moisturizer and will tackle the different issues mention above.

sleep are you using serum and eye cream? Which brand? Be careful you aren't overloading they eye area as it could have a detramental effect. Eye serum on its own should be enough.

Always apply to inner corners of eyes and sweep out, better if you pat the cream in lightly.

As for the one I would recommend? I would go to Estée Lauder and have a free consultation, the eye creams do different things other than just moisturizing so you can find the one which will help with any additional concerns.

Hope this helps Smile

Goodness grumpy that is hect-ivity (My DD's coin for charging about multi tasking).

I am currently perusing The Times Sunday 'Style' magazine and 'Stella'. There's a lovely Fugly cornflower blue below knee skirt that I would like MNers opinion of -

www.reiss.com/womens/skirts/lafayette/cornflower-blue/

and these Lille shorts to go with the blouse and booties -

www.reiss.com/womens/womens-new-arrivals/lille-pin/blue-check/

Atterley Road0039 Italy silk print blouse

www.atterleyroad.com/sofia-slvss-print-blouse-4.html

and on my feet, these -www.atterleyroad.com/crepe-sole-shoe-boot-6.html

Do you think these make a good look?

We're off to Corsica for a week then spending a few days at the Clue d?Aiglun north of Cannes, where the Estéron river flows from the Alpes-Maritimes. The shorts are more Elba smart I think.

QueenCadbury · 09/06/2013 20:13

Evening. I've just read all the weekends posts but can't remember it all!
amber good look with the surgery.
novice the charity sounds fab.

I've had an absolutely lovely weekend and after all the recent birthday preparations (dh, dd and dm) I am now looking forward to a break from it all until i can start thinking of mine (and more importantly what to wear!). I've just done some fantasy shopping and there's some gorgeous dresses out there. Does anyone have an anglomania dress? I like the look of them and it would be within budget but it would probably be too clingy on my arse? Oh, and I've checked with dh and October 12 is a definite for the shopping trip!

Drywhiteplease · 09/06/2013 20:13

McNally we've ordered DH one of these for Father's Day
classy with a pic of him and the kids. Will look rather classy on his work desk!!

Grumpy your outfits sound really fab this weekend. Good luck with RA prep...still upset I had to turn down my one and only invite ( will work on it for next year)...am looking forward to York on Fri, are you going? Doubt it if you're down south.

Have spent all day ( up at 6 on a Sunday!!Shock) at a regional netball tournament with dd.....only 12/13 some of those girls are scary! Why I volunteered to score I don't know...missed a crucial goal because I was complimenting my fellow scorer on her fab Ash wedge trainers and cashmere !!!!!ooooooops!

QueenCadbury · 09/06/2013 20:15

mignonette at first glance it looks a bit grannyish-but with good styling it could look good. What are you thinking of wearing with it?

shopafrolic · 09/06/2013 20:17

Mignon boots link isn't working and I can't copy it from my iPad. Can you relink? Love the shorts, and the blouse. Not keen on the skirt but I'm not a skirt wearer so probably not best equipped to judge!

Just realised by being lazy I referred to you as a steak! Forgive me?

Queen

Anglomania is made for ass. My DD loves them because she is tiny (Kylie tiny) but has boobs and a round butt but no hips to speak of. What one are you considering?

DryWhite - Atterley Road has these Ash trainer booties on sale for £79!

mignonette · 09/06/2013 20:22

Shop

That's okay, I kind of like being referred to V expensive steak!

I'll try that link again. It's a sod to work and previews as not coming up-

shopafrolic · 09/06/2013 20:27

I like the boots, and the shorts, and I like the blouse, but am not sure that the purple spot of the blouse will work with the shorts? I am known to be a bit matchy matchy though!

QueenCadbury · 09/06/2013 20:28

mignonette I've been looking at these ones. I like that they're plain and can be totally glammed up with killer heels for my party but I can also see that I'd get a lot of wear out of them after too. I really want to get something that's not going to languish in my wardrobe forever more.

black

blue

red

I can really see that I'm not going to be waiting until 12 oct to shop for my outfit am I...?

The grin is for my hilarious spin on your name, not the blouse! God what's wrong with me? I haven't even had a drink........
