Is anyone else really disappointed with Hush?

I absolutely love the look of their clothes on the website and in the brochures, and to be fair I've had a couple of lovely items. But in general the quality seems awful! Some of the jersey stuff in particular looks like old dishrags and yet it's far from cheap. I'm really disappointed as I love this style and thought I'd found somewhere I could shop from regularly - I'd be happy to pay their prices if the quality matched up :(

Hi everyone - MNHQ here. This thread is a little old, and the opinions voiced may be a little out of date. Take a look at this more recent thread to find out what Mumsnetters are saying about Hush right now, and why not take a look at the Mumsnet Hush Edit to see the staples Mumsnetters are recommending this season.

Vicsp - do you perchance work at Hush? Bumping an old thread to say how great they are Wink

They are my favourite shop style wise but I cringe at the terrible quality of many of the clothes. They need to up their game - I am happy to pay the prices if the quality is good but around 70% of their current items aren't worth half of what they are charging in terms of design or quality IMO.

I think they need a few new staff at the top end tbh - the whole branding is a bit sqewiff atm, the awful model last season, the poorly written emails...

I prefer Me and Em but it's too smart and too £££ for me, so I keep revisiting Hush.

I used to like Hush, but am not ordering from them now until I hear their quality has improved...recent knitwear in particular has been dire, not worth the price, has not washed well.
I find their jersey doesn't always hold up well if washed often either, I have a few leggings and long vests and they don't feel so nice anymore.
I do love my leopard scarf and have a nice cashmere beanie from them, also looking forward to wearing last years denim shorts again but overall I have been dissapointed by them.

After loving them (on this tread ) the skirt I raved about has bobbled horriblyHmm so disappointing.
I ve also just ordered the new season Catherine dress, demon shirt dress, a scarf and a clutch (when the Sophie Anderson version I wanted was OOS) hoping this order will be a success wen it arrives.

I switched to Baukjen. Much better quality and value for money. Will, never touch Hush again. Can't believe there is a thread somewhere on here plugging a rushed modal skirt. Baukjen do the same style in a cotton elastame which is gorgeous and looks much better, for the same price.

I had also been thrilled with with the styling & bought several summer travel dresses.
Sadly on arrival I was unable to wear any of them because they were 100% creased and crumpled, despite very carefull packing.
Such poor qaulity fabrics defeat the object of them being fit for travel...
I have deposited all of them in a local charity shop this morning.
i most certainly wouldn't order from Hush again or recommend them to anyone .
Hey ho... another costly wardrobe lesson learnt! Hush are certainly not cheap
