Love Chan Luu linus, was just looking at it on Gilt funnily enough! What did you order?!

Hopefully · 03/05/2013 19:41

shop they are normal orange, will link in a bit (am just posting as I catch my breath while out running!)

Chan Luu bracelets are lovely, wish I had spare cash for one - am so short of accessories.

Topazandpearl · 03/05/2013 19:49

Inspired by one of QueenC's pins, I have ordered this scarf (30% off this weekend with LOVE30).

santamarianovella · 03/05/2013 20:28

Grin shop,i had to google the meaning of tranny.after all these years here i still fail to understand some of your slang/phrases.
nothing exciting for us this weekend.
i love that shopper sleep,i had a quick look at their bags a few days ago,and loved the red one.

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2013 20:44

Yes anni I also read tranny....and though Hmm interesting bank holiday!! What will 2000 bricks build you?
Re necklacegate.....
Novice I know you're tempted!!!
Shop there isn't anyone I hate that much.....
Anni secret Santa is an excellent idea.
I'm also considering a " fashion gone wrong" party......only for MNV ladies as my friends wouldn't get it!
I'll let you know when it's on Ebay so you can get your bids in first!

Anni this weekend we have our annual uni get together ...I think it's in your part of the world.

LinusDKD · 03/05/2013 20:45

Since reading MN Vogue I have bought the following (most of it at discounted prices):

Three pairs of premium denim: James Jeans, Hudson and Paige Denim. All skinnies which I would never have considered before.

Some nice T-shirts: very happy with the Splendid and American Vintage ones, very dissapointed with the Zoe Karssen one.

A pair of Sam Edelman cobalt Gigi's: I bought a pair in red a couple of years ago and love them! But I would never have considered the cobalt if it wasn't for MN Vogue

A black Asos pencil skirt in jersey: very good quality for that price and very flattering.

By Malene Birger and Filippa K cardigans

Becksondergaard black bird scarf

Maison Scotch pink neon breton: I bought it on Atterley Road before it was mentioned on here but have been wearing it loads

A medium Celine Trio in Burgundy (present from DH) and a Celine wallet (bought myself)

And some other items but the ones I mentioned are enough of a confession for one day.

I do have to be careful what I order as I don't live in the UK so I buy most items online and returning things is too much of a hassle and/or too expensive.

The Chan Luu bracelets I ordered today are (hope the links work):

www.gilt.com/sale/women/jewelry-by-chan-luu-1705/product/164509294-chan-luu-leather-gold-nugget-wrap-bracelet

www.gilt.com/sale/women/jewelry-by-chan-luu-1705/product/140836612-chan-luu-gold-chain-leather-wrap-bracelet

Right, now definitely back to Lurkersville

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2013 20:49

Linus don't go......it's fun here and I've been made welcome although at the moment not worthy due to lapse in taste
Love Chan Lu bracelets...I have a similar in brown and wear it a lot.

OneLittleLady · 03/05/2013 20:51

No, don't go Linus, I can only aspire to the magnificent style of some of the ladies here but I hang around for the links to pretty things that I can't afford Grin

MarshaBrady · 03/05/2013 20:52

Linus your list is practically a best of..., and the Celine trio in burgundy. Covet covet covet.

Sleepwhenidie · 03/05/2013 21:02

Welcome Linus, don't go! You sound like you (and DH by association - Celine, good man!) will fit right in Smile

Hopefully, I am impressed by your commitment to the thread not so sure about your commitment to runningGrin

Dry you certainly seem to be in disgrace after that necklace Grin, you're going to have to make up for it with some lovely links!

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2013 21:02

Linus I have a lovely tacky wine induced bonkers purchase necklace for you as a welcome present, would set off the Celine bag nicely Wink

QueenCadbury · 03/05/2013 21:03

Wahay, the assistant in waitrose had to do a double take when I was just buying booze Smile.

drywhite exactly how many glasses of dry white had you had??

linus great shopping!

topaz glad to be of service with my pin links Grin

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2013 21:05

Sad Sad Sad Sad.........,,,Grin Wine

Hopefully a neon red necklace to go with your trainers?!!!! V notyou

QueenCadbury · 03/05/2013 21:05

Oh hopefully I now want a kimono. I've decided it would be a good substitute for a cardi for going out. I had a cheapie primark one for round the pool on holiday last year. Dh loved it and thought it looked very sexy!

Hopefully · 03/05/2013 21:07

Shop I bought these havaianas, they are less vibrant than they look on the website, and slightly more coral.

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2013 21:07

QueenC I may have purchased it after big beautiful people not me do last Fri !
So pleased that your Dd got a pink plaster, hope she's over the bug though.

Annianni · 03/05/2013 21:08

Beautiful list Linus
Please stay and tell us what else you've bought :o

Hopefully · 03/05/2013 21:08

QueenC I am kimono obsessing. I have decided my life will not be complete without one Grin

Sleep I ran for minutes on end! and walked for more minutes

Hopefully · 03/05/2013 21:11

Believe it or not, I actually own a kimono, but it needs taking up. I keep thinking I'll do it as it's so bloody simple, but maybe easie to just drop it at the dressmakers next week. It's a gorgeous forest green.

Annianni · 03/05/2013 21:13

We could play a game with that necklace, a bit like the mumsnet bear thing... where you have the necklace for the weekend and it's a competition who can wear it in the most random and/or glamorous places (with photographic evidence)

Extra points could be given for example, if you wore it to visit Chanel if you had the balls etc :o

QueenCadbury · 03/05/2013 21:13

hopefully if you see any anywhere in my colours let me know.

Annianni · 03/05/2013 21:16

The 2000 bricks are to build dh's bastard shed and my kitchen extension.

Drywhiteplease · 03/05/2013 21:19

Anni brilliant idea!! God I love that. We could start a trend! Do you think Amber could start it off on her blog? Think it would look fab with white boots.

LinusDKD · 03/05/2013 21:32

See I knew this would happen if I delurked, I can't not reply!

Drywhite, I wouldn't want to deprive you of that 'interesting' necklace so why don't you wear it with a plain white (linen?) dress and maybe one other small accessory in that colour? Use it as the focal point of your outfit and wear it with an attitude à la Iris Apfel.

Off to sleep now as toddler+baby=early start.
