How did we finish the other thread so fast...? Less than a month.

OP posts:

I ordered the Blake dress, but it is apparently not in stock and on wait time till June 18th FFS Angry

bigTillyMint · 23/04/2013 14:57

I like them too - I have a pair of platform sandals with a similar sole.

wilbur · 23/04/2013 15:35

Am assuaging my urge to shop at the moment by buying bits and pieces for lithe young dd's 10th birthday Smile. Can't believe she's 10. Looking forward to her b'day though - she has some great friends. I am feeling encouraged by the weather today - it feels like this time Spring might be the real thing.

Sorry that shoe hunts are proving fruitless -- I do like the comfy range at Next (am wearing black patent not quite ballet pumps today and they are v v easy to walk in). Worth having a look. I realise that won't help Hatty, though.

wilbur · 23/04/2013 16:17

Link to comfy Next range. I quite like corsage flats if you need to wear with a dress.

motherinferior · 23/04/2013 16:28

Ooh yes. I like the silver ones.

I assuaged shopping urge in local Sally Army shoppe, followed by eyebrow threading. Must now type up notes from possibly not overly forthcoming interviewee.

Ooh I like the next comfies! V tempting...

Drive through shoreditch this morning, and felt like Mumsy McFrump in my stripy top, skinny jeans and converse. Then went to stately home and park, where I was the youngest by 30 years, and felt quite the cutting edge fashionista. Lots of old dears in many layers of beige, plus comfy sandals and sheer navy tights.

bigTillyMint · 23/04/2013 18:46

Grin I didn't realise there was a range of comfy shoes in Next!

Just done circuits and my legs aren't aching!

wilbur · 23/04/2013 19:40

Then you weren't working hard enough, BTM. Dragon

bigTillyMint · 23/04/2013 19:42

I prefer to think it is because I have been exercising prolifically since the last session!

I am now having to bake-up a storm as the DC were furious that there were only flapjacks left for aftersHmm

beachyhead · 23/04/2013 20:00

I'm a Gabor at Jones girl myself Grin realised after all these years that they are the only ones for me. I can't link on my phone (still on train on way home), but they had some great grey suede flats in there today..

I also need cigarette pants! (Thinks that is the fashiony name for ankle skimmers!)

wilbur · 23/04/2013 20:30

I was wearing cigarette pants today . Nice ones I got last year from Zara, I had tried on quite a few pairs but had issues with low waists and tight thighs, not a good combo. To be fair they are more cigar pants on me, but I like them and they're great for this time of year. Transition dressing, I think they call it. I call it WTF do I wear?

motherinferior · 23/04/2013 20:57

I wore tights today. Black opaques. This was not, shall we say, a good idea. Ahem. DD1 feels the same way and has opted for the socks-uniform combo tomorrow.

Should anyone fancy a drink on 8 June let me know - have sent out a few invites too Grin

Oooohhh, sounds good - will have to double check with DH, but fingers crossed! If so, I could offer a fellow crepey a bed for the night.

And if I could ship DH and the DC off to the out-laws, two more!

Stropperella · 23/04/2013 21:54

Yay, the 8th! Can I come, can I??

CointreauVersial · 23/04/2013 22:28

Ooh, I can do 8th June! ( if I'm invited, of course....).

8th June? (Pricks up ears) no idea what I'm doing, but can I come (if free - has horrid feeling dp is in Belgrade..)

MrsS?? Check in please :)

beachyhead · 23/04/2013 22:41

Oh, night of the James Bond Ball in a field up the road.... for which I am not suitably yet attired... Gutted.

alto1 · 23/04/2013 23:21

Turbo-posting on all sides here, I'm in awe of you all.

Hattie, isn't L'Oreal owned by Nestle or have I got my wires crossed?

Mind you, boycotting seems to get more complex in direct proportion to my cognitive decline.

Respect re concert, Stropps, did I mention I took dd and friend to Rihanna?

Stropperella · 24/04/2013 09:33

Woah, Alto, you and Ruby are clearly in the premiere league of gig-going parents. Grin
Luckily for me, dd will not be making any requests to go and see either Ms Minaj or Rihanna, as they are not her sort of thing (nor mine, I have to admit). She holds v. trenchant views about Rihanna's inability to wear clothes. Grin

motherinferior · 24/04/2013 09:38

Course you can come. Am absolutely unsure who or how many people will be here...our house isn't that big and some it has to be closed as it is so shambolic
