How did we finish the other thread so fast...? Less than a month.

I think you really could Beachy if you added, say, ridiculous quantities of (cheap, Topshop stylee) gold necklaces and bracelets... and then you'd have a perfectly sensible dress to wear afterwards...

wilbur · 22/04/2013 17:07

I did notice quite a good looking "dress agency" in Crystal Palace on a brief jaunt last weekend, I love a 2nd hand rummage. Bought a very nice Zara paisley tunic from charity shop in same outing.

Like the long dress and I have a few things from Baukjen (which used to be Isabella Oliver - bad namechange IMO) and they are nicely made.

Addle - we're south Streatham/Norwood way, up the hill from you. Used to live in Brixton, moons and moons ago. Loved it.

Agreed, rubyGrin

QQ, I do love that dress. Am willing myself not to buy it, but it would be so useful.....

motherinferior · 22/04/2013 18:03

SE London is crepissimi central.

I have printed out my map of where I am supposed to go tomorrow. Although will leave lots of room for, er, error Blush

bigTillyMint · 22/04/2013 18:22

Good thinking MI!Grin

bigTillyMint · 22/04/2013 19:02

Am thinking Blake dress is less mumsy than the Phase Eight one but also less forgiving on the belly and hips.

Thoughts, anyone?!

QueenQueenie · 22/04/2013 19:11

I think the Blake will be fine... maybe with some cast iron undergarments...

Love the Blake dress but suspect, like MI I am too short...BTM - also nice, but don't do floral. I do not need a new dress until I lose some poundage ;)
MI do I take it you got, erm lost on Sunday :)

bigTillyMint · 22/04/2013 19:30

Only for a little while, and she was very near....

motherinferior · 22/04/2013 19:30

Round and round and round I went in ever decreasing circles of lostitudeGrin

bigTillyMint · 22/04/2013 19:31

I, conversely, BD wonder if I may be too tall, especially in heels. Hmmm.

addle · 22/04/2013 20:14

Polite parades of shops in various bits of Dulwich pretty much identical imo.

bigTillyMint · 22/04/2013 20:16

Mmmmm, you could be right addleSmile

QQ, I have ordered it! I can always send it back.....

QueenQueenie · 22/04/2013 20:22

Hi Addle and welcome. I am a rare breed of N London crepester...

Blackduck · 22/04/2013 20:24

I clearly must have failed to tick the 'do not pass my address on to the universe' as I am currently inundated with catalogues for companies I have never heard of - poetry fashion anyone?

QQ - yes Woman's Own still exists....

Blackduck · 22/04/2013 20:34

Rapidly adds, I only know this cos my mum has it delivered!

Oh, sorry, hi Addle, I was a N Londoner back in day (folks still there), but now live in the sticks up a hill...

bigTillyMint · 22/04/2013 21:28

I'm north London too. Well, north east.

Stop showing me pictures of nice dresses I don't need. What I do need is a decent pair of shoes before Thursday - it's DP's masters graduation, and while I do have a couple of frocks in the running (one, natch, from Sainsbury's) all my shoes are awful.
