How did we finish the other thread so fast...? Less than a month.

Am eating a custard tart and listening to the sound of everyone else's lawnmowers.

CointreauVersial · 20/04/2013 17:00

I did browse the Zatchels website, but I'm not sure I want a satchel really - too heavy, stiff and awkward to open if used as a handbag, although I can see their merits as a briefcase (or indeed a satchel).

I can no longer hear the lawnmowers, as DH is now snoring beside me in his new steamer chair. Oh, the glamorous life I lead.

Sun is out, view is great, need to cook tea ;)

Blackduck · 20/04/2013 17:22

I looked at Zatchels too, but convinced myself not to...I really don't need another bag (want is a whole different thing!)

hattymattie · 20/04/2013 17:38

Waah - stop eating cake everybody. I'm as bad - just had rosé and crisps. I was actually contemplating a bikini in spain this year but I think there is no hope; Hmm

Does anybody know what you would write on an application for a taster couse - it's really weird - I mean it's a taster course to see if you want to study the subject so are you supposed to write - I'd like to apply for a taster couse because I might like to study this subject at your fabulous university. It's sort of trying to sound motivated without going over the top.

bigTillyMint · 20/04/2013 17:38

CV is that a Spanish stylie or Greggs old-skool custard tart?Grin

I didn't really need another bag, but have been coveting a friends satchel for a while....

Cooking DC's tea, looking froward to a beer soon!

Cremolafoam · 20/04/2013 17:41

I too have refrained from the lure of the scent of pretty coloured leather. Although sorely tempted I cannot justify it given the number of bags I already own.I already have a vintage Tessier satchel and a Boden one....
Move away from the screen CremolaGrin.......

Cremolafoam · 20/04/2013 17:44

Tessier I mean Texier

Blackduck · 20/04/2013 18:53

Margarita yummmmmmmmm combined with a fabby chilli (even if I do say so myself :)
A glass of petit Chablis beckons and some trashy TV....

CointreauVersial · 20/04/2013 18:57

Twas a retro Greggs-style custard tart although I'm not choosy.

Still two left in the box.

bigTillyMint · 20/04/2013 18:59

Mmmmm margarita. Or maybe a G&T. Or a fruit beer.... Off out soon - better get changed!

bigTillyMint · 20/04/2013 19:00

Hope you didn't buy any sausage rolls as well, CV!

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/04/2013 19:04

Yes, and she washed the whole lot down with a Fruit Shoot and is now eyeing up the WKD as the sun's over the yard arm.

OP posts:
Blackduck · 20/04/2013 20:18

I hope that's the blue WKD :)

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/04/2013 22:16

I have had phantom gallbladder pain all day and it won't go away. I have to hold my side when I cough otherwise the pain is really bad. All the doctors just say "Oh yes, this happens sometimes," but no-one seems prepared to investigate and I am getting fed up with it. I had it yesterday too. And I've just had a wee that was very dark, and wondering if they are related?

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 20/04/2013 22:42

MrsS, what makes you say it is phantom? It sounds like you need to see a different doctor. Surprising, given that you are in France, that none of the specialists have come up with an explanation.

bigTillyMint · 20/04/2013 22:45

Are they sure it's not gallstones? (my DM has this)

CointreauVersial · 20/04/2013 23:24

MrsS, my DSis had gallstones last year, and now has a little glass vial of them in her handbag to scare people. It was quite painful, and 40+ females are the most likely to get them, so get yourself checked out.

And no blue WKD here, oh no. I've been quaffing chilled Hoegaarden.

busymummy3 · 20/04/2013 23:29

Please someone tell me what this thread is all about ? I am fascinated but mind boggled !!

bigTillyMint · 21/04/2013 07:41

busymummy, you are obviously too young to know what crepey skin is!Smile

Blackduck · 21/04/2013 08:11

You're up early BTM! You off on your dress shopping trip with MI today?

herbaceous · 21/04/2013 08:36

Diet fail. Despite only missing a couple of fast days over the past couple of months, my weight has seemingly gone down by about a pound, after bouncing back up from a half-stone loss. Not aided by Easter, obv.

And not aided by this weekend: curry and a bottle of wine to myself Friday night; burger and chips for lunch yesterday, and fish and chips and chocolate and beer for dinner last night at the choir quiz night. Which we won! For the second year running! I rule!

Then today I'm running the cake stall at a table top sale. While I'm out, DP is making gingerbread men with DS.

Ordered those trainers. They will be very useful for the yomp to DS's new school!

Blackduck · 21/04/2013 09:05

Herbs me too on the diet front - completely went to pot the last couple of weeks. I am started with renewed vigour on Monday! Have fun on the cake stall.

bigTillyMint · 21/04/2013 09:22

Yes BD, been to the gym (polishes halo!), going to shower and then bike to our shopping jauntSmile
It's lovely and sunny - perfect for being out and about - DS and DH are at a EUAFA? tournament, at which the winners get free tickets to the Wembly final. I predict some moaning later today!
DD is off to watch her bf play a rugby match (his DM is picking her up?!!) and then meeting up with all her girlfriends to try out the new gelateriaEnvy
