How did we finish the other thread so fast...? Less than a month.

Herbs, gingerbread men sound fab. DH can't boil a bloody egg!

busymummy3 · 21/04/2013 09:59

BTM - Wish I was too young but don't seem to be doing too badly with my skin for my age- as for the rest of me ..... Sad
Thank you for letting me know I just couldn't work it out thread title is brilliant !!!!

Stropperella · 21/04/2013 10:05

AFAIR, MrsS is already sans gall bladder, hence the "phantom" nature of the pain. I hope you will go and rage at the doc until you get a proper answer, MrsS. Fingers crossed for your trip back to the UK today.

Dd is lying in bed saying she is "too sad" about her treat being over. She has always done this after something she has been looking forward to for ages has been and gone. Dh claims this is "weird".

Ds is off to a St Georges' Day parade with the cubs and scouts and I think this means that I get a chance to dig the garden. Whoopdidoo. Grin That's after yet another roofer has been to give us a quote for replacing the flashing round the chimney. Actually, I am so damn happy to see the sun, I could be spending the entire day shovelling poo and I would still be grinning.

motherinferior · 21/04/2013 10:31

I am off to shop Grin

Blackduck · 21/04/2013 10:49

Hope it is productive MI!

My garden is minuscule, but I still can't be arsed to get out there and do it....
I have a very busy week ahead and am currently ignoring all the work I should be doing.

Would I be unreasonable for killing dp for leaving the utility loo door open?

Blackduck · 21/04/2013 10:49

MrsS safe travelling

Have prepared a massive veggie picnic for dsis as it is her birthday and we are off to eat same and 'look at a view '

CointreauVersial · 21/04/2013 16:13

Aah, I somehow missed the fact that MesS is already deficient in the gallbladder department. Won't be gallstones, then.

Once again, I find myself eating a custard tart while DH slumbers beside me. Hmm I have had a lovely lazy weekend, and I don't care.

DH has been grumbling all day because he is aching all over after taking part in the annual Lads v Dads match with DS and his U13 mates. At least he came off better than their coach who, at his first touch of the ball, was felled by the Left Back and broke his fibula in two places.Shock He was due to fly out to China on business tomorrow, and is now waiting to hear if it needs to be pinned.

bigTillyMint · 21/04/2013 16:59

Yes, me too, CV (re gallstones!)Blush

And CV, that is exactly why DH's should NOT attempt to play footy any more

bigTillyMint · 21/04/2013 17:02

Shopping trip was very nice - met the lovely addle (who I hope will now join us on here more regularly!) and once she found us MI and tried on a few dresses. Might buy the one I liked best before the 25% off expires!

Blackduck · 21/04/2013 17:05

Did MI get anything?
We have had a very lazy day here - ds is still in his pjs Shock
I am still avoiding the work I should have done, but have cooked dinner...

CointreauVersial · 21/04/2013 18:00

YY, BTM, unfit men in their late 40s really should know better than to attempt to play football. Especially as a fair number of the U13s are now lunking great youths and not quite so easy to shove over.

Glad you enjoyed your shopping trip, and hope MI is suitably kitted out in the party frock of her dreams.

bigTillyMint · 21/04/2013 18:06

She didn't buy, but has now identified a style that will suit her and possible coloursSmile

We have a big reunion BBQ every summer and there's always a dads-v-lads match. I think the lads may well win this yearGrin

hattymattie · 21/04/2013 18:13

Shopping trip sounds fun.

I've come to the conclusion I drink even more alcohol when it's warm outside as have spend the day mainly lazing around in the garden, reading newspaper and drinking rosé - again!

Off to gym with a vengence tomorrow and no wine for a week now! (haha).

Blackduck · 22/04/2013 05:49

Hope all goes well today MrsS

bigTillyMint · 22/04/2013 06:46

Yes, hope it goes well today too, MrsS

Ruby - what have you been up to?Hmm

Best wishes for today Mrs S.

I have been to gym and have come back to coffee and gingernuts. Gym makes me hungry.

wilbur · 22/04/2013 10:30

Thinking of you, MrsS. Hope you get a chance to properly mourn your aunt and not just keep your mum in check.

Glad shopping trip was fun, BTM and MI. Addle - where do you live (approx) if you are close to a W. Dulwich shopping spree?

BIL's lunch yesterday was lovely - v delicious food (pimms sorbet, yum) and family all on good form - hilarious old picks of dh and his brothers all with hair (only 2 of them have much left) which the children didn't recognise. Birthday BIL's partner raises horses and said they'd had an awful winter with the horses being stuck inside because of weather, but now the foals are out playing again. Ahhh. He also said their neighbour, who breeds shire horses, has two new foals at the moment which are the most gorgeous things. We're going to try and get up to see them later in the summer and no doubt dd will explode with horsey joy.

Very much like HD brow although quite severe at first (but that was more to do with the fact that brows had degenerated into a blond forest so the contrast is more stark). A week on they look perfect and groomed but not too thin. Hoping I can keep them up for a couple of months at least as I can only afford the professional job every 3 months or so.

Who have you been slinging mud at? I'm sure they deserved it. Grin
