Oh no Liberty...
did you not try the dress comando? Wink

That's great news Hopefully, you must be so relieved.

We're off to the zoo today.
I'm wearing QueenC's distressed jeans.
With a zara stripe linen tee, but might change my top before we go.
I'm going to chop a couple of inches off the bottom of the jeans and roll them up.
Someone remind me to hem them properly later please!
I've had to hitch them up a couple of times, but that's because I need to put another hole in my belt... woo hoo... :o

I have decided to return the Maison Scotch neon breton.
I love it, but it's snug fitting, not loose as I wanted.
If I lose more weight (hopefully) I might try and get another.

Also returning the Gap short trench.
I do like it, but i've got my outnet peacoat, which looks nicer to be honest.
And with the Whistles navy and grey jackets, I can live without it.

So they will pay for these which i've wanted for ages and will wear a lot.

... if you clear your cookies, AR will accept the OCADO13 code again, for £25 off.

Annianni · 19/04/2013 09:31

I saw 2 gorgeous Burberry trenches in Selfridges on Wednesday.
One was a classic beige trench, with leather panels on the waist or belt (didn't get too close, with having ds2 with me)
Because on the model, was a fabulous beige suede one.
It was heavenly.
I tried to link them yesterday, but couldn't see them online.

Hopefully · 19/04/2013 09:31

Shock I am wearing no coat. It is beautifully sunny here today.

Wearing neon long vest under cut out Topshop sweater, and far too hot in suede boots over jeans. Need shoes urgently!

QueenCadbury · 19/04/2013 10:01

Beautifully sunny in Bristol too. Needed a coat for the school run but hopefully shouldn't this afternoon. Am very excited as I have put washing out on the line .

hopefully I can't wait till tomorrow. If anything I'm looking forward to a day away from dc3. Much as I love her she's a monkey who's currently pushing all the boundaries and driving me insane Grin

libertychick · 19/04/2013 10:11

When I tried the dress on in the shop I was wearing industrial level hold everything in tights so that combined with flattering shop mirrors deluded me. That said, I am now on a mission to sort out the VPL issue!!! Going to replace my entire underwear drawer. If DD is this observant now what the hell am I in for when she hits her teens????

Lovely and sunny here. Wearing Cos linen jumper with straight leg Tommy Hilfiger jeans rolled up and NB trainers with a fuchsia polka dot scarf for extra colour. Dress down in the office I am in today and two people have complimented and said how good I look in pink and navy!!! Yay.

Sounds like everyone so far is loving their Friday Smile

foxysocks · 19/04/2013 10:15

I'm the same queenc, love washing on the line. wooo!

am wearing yellow tee with distressed jeans rolled up, navy cons and grey R&B biker. also wore the charcoal star scarf this AM but hopefully won't this arvo.

absolutely love that jumper liberty, it's in my virtual cos basket (along with quite a lot of other stuff!)

Sleepwhenidie · 19/04/2013 10:40

Morning everyone, I am in a sulk because I dropped my beloved new iPad mini on the kitchen floor last night and broke the screen Sad. To stop me feeling too sorry for myself though, just heard that BIL had his car stolen last night, he went for a cycle ride in the forest on his way home from work and in it he had (beyond stupidly) left his work hard drive, house keys, office keys, wallet, SIL's laptop, wedding ring and Panerai watch Shock...his Dad is his boss and has quite a temper, apparently BIL's mum had to drive Dad around the lock three times to calm down a bit before dropping him at the office to get locks changed, SIL none too impressed either. There's always someone with bigger problems Smile.

We were going to Legoland today but DH and I couldn't muster the enthusiasm, pencilled it in for July now Smile, it's pretty cold here, but dry so far. Am dressed in black jaquard jeans and black/white boule cardi with pink blochs but not showered or made up, feeling a bit unsure of what to do with the rest of the day now that plans have changed. DS1 very happy playing minecraft and chilling, refused offers of Wellcome Trust insect exhibition and Science Museum, which isn't like him. Gym? Aching so much...so maybe Liberty, to get 40th present for friend in Doha, am thinking Alex Monroe necklace, any other suggestions welcome!

santamarianovella · 19/04/2013 11:08

foxysocks · 19/04/2013 11:23

santamarianovella · 19/04/2013 11:27

sleep thats just awful.i hope they find whoever did this.
a necklace sounds nice,DH goes to doha often for work, he is there at the moment!

foxysocks · 19/04/2013 11:31

oh sleep missed that, insurance may cover your ipad?

Sleepwhenidie · 19/04/2013 11:45

Thanks santa and foxy, bought it with DH's card and not sure if there is purchase protection with it, we are going to check today as I only bought it in February - I am so clumsy Angry with self.

Shop how are you feeling now after the bump in your car?

Annianni · 19/04/2013 11:55

Sleep, I've replaced broken screens on dsd's netbook and my old touch screen phone.
There's videos on youtube that show you what to do.

If it's not covered by insurance, it's worth a go.

A necklace sounds lovely by the way.

I'm now sat outside the zoo, waiting for ds2 to wake up.
I'm wearing a white slouchy tee and yesterdays navy cotton cardi with the distressed jeans rolled up.
I have about 3 inches of pale leg on show, with burgundy Superga.

santamarianovella · 19/04/2013 12:15

Sleep DD,smashed DH,brand new ipad screen a few months back and we took it to the apple store.it wasnt cheap, but they told us that its the best thing to do,many people take their broken ones to dodgy repair shops and end up bringing them back to apple, and spending twice as much.

i just texted DH,and asked him what would he like as a present if he lived in doha permanently and he replied:chorizo Grin.

Dauphin · 19/04/2013 13:51

In the last month we have had to have an iPad and Kindle repaired. Our 3 year old is very heavy handed! Am home all alone. Am very comfy in new, boiled wool, softly tailored, navy Blazer, which I got in France on hols a couple of weeks ago. I have actually been living in it, as it feels less structured than usual jacket, and is smarter than a cardi. Have my all time fave long sleeved White Company tee underneath and rolled boyfriend jeans with Temperley brogues and satchel. I had a meeting this morning.

Out has also come my trusted black Barbour Liddesdale, worn with black skinnies and ballets and happily my new found beloved sunnies (which were safely packed away!!), oversized Chanel.

Sleepwhenidie · 19/04/2013 14:10

Grin Santa! Whenever best friend comes home for a visit and I ask where she wants to go to eat the reply is always "anywhere that serves pork"! Not sure a sausage is really appropriate as a 40th gift though Grin!

Outfit sounds lovely Dauphin

libertychick · 19/04/2013 14:20

Foxy that is the VPL dress! I am generally a 12 and bought the medium. The issue is body shape - I am very pear shaped so more of a 10/12 on top and 12/14 on bottom. The top fitted fine - almost slightly big and TBH the bottom would have been ok if I was 2 inches smaller across the saddlebag area! There is a 12/13 inch difference between my waist and hips so if you are a more standard 8-10 inch difference between waist and hips then I would say it's true to size and assume that the xs is a standard 8. The material is reasonable quality/weight too so I think on a standard fit VPL would not be as much of a problem. It is a lovely dress.

Outfit sounds great Dauphin.
Thanks for the lovely comments about my DD santa and marsha. She is utterly adorable!

Sleep sympathy on the ipad screen and for your BIL. Must have been the worst heart sinking feeling ever to get back from his cycle and find the car gone.

libertychick · 19/04/2013 14:47

Quick question for the My-wardrobe experts (Decam??). They have sent me a £60 off full price purchases before end April code and just today a 25% off in next 48 hrs code - can you use both together????

libertychick · 19/04/2013 15:40

Ahhh I have managed to read the T&C in the teeny tiny writing at the bottom of the emails and confirmed the offers can't be used together.

Decameron · 19/04/2013 16:15

Shame you can't combine the codes, Liberty! Don't forget to go through Quidco too. Your DD sounds like a gas little ticket.

Outfit sounds great, Dauphin.

Went to Westfield this morning with DD2 and bought this bag. Decided I'd better return the Whistles navy blazer I bought earlier this week. Love the bag though!

DD1 is 5 tomorrow, I'm taking her and 15 friends to Pizza Express, I will need a glass of wine!

QueenCadbury · 19/04/2013 16:42

dec at least a bottle I would say Grin. Love the bag!

sleep what bastards taking your bil car. Hope they catch them. Our screen cracked on iPad (ds dropped it) and we took it to the apple store. In the end it wasn't much more to buy a new one so dh did that and gave the cracked one to the dc.

liberty how interesting that dd noticed the vpl yet dh didn't. I really don't think men do notice these things.

I reckon I've put on half a stone again today sampling the delights that I have been baking. hopefully if there's any left I may bring the rocky road down tomorrow. I always need chocolate after along drive!

Drywhiteplease · 19/04/2013 18:22

QueenC went to Whistles and tried on the cats eyes sunnies......bit too directional for me, so I bought
these
V pleases.....despite DS going " are you serious?" When I showed him. What does he know.
Have just checked out Wendy's blog ( how did I miss that one...just fabulous!) and she was wearing some similar glasses....now I feel cool! wish I had her legs

OneLittleLady · 19/04/2013 18:29

I absolutely need some sunglasses BUT they have to be prescription ones. I'm very short sighted and can't wear contacts. Are there ANY opticians (preferably within Yorkshire) that do stylish sunglasses with prescription lenses? If not a physical branch is there anywhere I can send them to that's online based that could fit prescription lenses? They don't specifically have to be designer frames though it would be nice, just stylish. I can't go through another summer with terrible sunglasses, I just can't Sad

MarshaBrady · 19/04/2013 18:31

I love those Drywhite!

OneLittle I have Cutler and Gross prescription sunglasses. Really like the frame and the lens is graduated. I use them for driving. Think they were a little ££ but I have kept them for ages.

QueenCadbury · 19/04/2013 18:47

Nice drywhite.

littlelady have you tried boots? I got prescription sunglasses from there last summer. Mine aren't the most stylish as they're only for driving and they came free with my normal glasses but there were lots more available if I'd been prepared to pay.
