Are these shoes hideous?

Orthopedic or stylish? I just can't make up my mind.

I need a full shoe for walking about in wettish weather with a baby/buggy. I only really wear brown shoes. Brogues usually, with high waisted wide legged trousers or knee length a line skirts/dresses.

Sorry.

GrannyRatOnAScooter · 07/03/2013 21:04

Love them! Really fashionable yet classic.

germyrabbit · 07/03/2013 21:05

not particularly nice and a bit expensive but if you like them...

BikeRunSki · 07/03/2013 21:05

Neither ugly or stylish, but look like they should be men's and worn with a suit.

germyrabbit · 07/03/2013 21:06

HecateWhoopass · 07/03/2013 21:07

They look fine to me.

comfortable and practical.

MrsKoala · 07/03/2013 21:07

hmmm well i do like them, but they may only work under my mannish trousers and i do think they are pricey for what they are.

OP posts:
moondog · 07/03/2013 21:08

They could look quite cool in a Katherine Hepburn sort of way especially in relation to what you say you usually wear.
Anthropologie have some nice ones but total rip off.

AnyFucker · 07/03/2013 21:08

Do you have more money than sense style ? Wink

Pizzaexpress2 · 07/03/2013 21:09

Sorry, no. Look like blokes shoes.
Yuck.

OrWellyAnn · 07/03/2013 21:09

Boak. They're grim. Sorry!

moondog · 07/03/2013 21:10

These

AnyFucker · 07/03/2013 21:11

I would think a bloke wearing those shoes was doing it for a joke, tbh !

< this is why I rarely venture onto the S+B threads >

UnrequitedSkink · 07/03/2013 21:11

Manly, very.

MrsKoala · 07/03/2013 21:11

yes moondog that is my thinking. I wear grey flannel type 40's trousers and shirts a lot.

Anyfucker - Grin - i hope not, because i haven't got much money...

AnyFucker · 07/03/2013 21:12

OP wanted shoes for wet weather walking though, MD

I say get some wellies...you will look less silly

moondog · 07/03/2013 21:12

Althoguh these elicit a WTAF.
Sort of like I imagine a bearded lady would wear in a 30s sideshow.
WTAF?

Caladria · 07/03/2013 21:12

Love them. Andrgynous in a good way.

Caladria · 07/03/2013 21:12

Gah. Androgynous,

MrsKoala · 07/03/2013 21:13

i don't mind manly, i usually wear brogues.

Not keen on those ones moondog, sorry. not waterproof and no socks allowed. i need practicality.

OP posts:
Oblomov · 07/03/2013 21:14

they are very manly. And not nice. Sorry.

MrsMcEnroe · 07/03/2013 21:14

Have you had a look at Clarks? Plenty of brogues there for much less money Smile or I saw a really nice pair of tan DMs (honestly, they were lovely, didn't have nasty yellow laces or anything) in Office when I was window shopping the other day...

Greensleeves · 07/03/2013 21:14

If you lean in close, and listen really carefully, you can actually hear them minging Grin
