It had to be done.
Phew that feels better.
Over here crepeys. All very welcome (but only if you're crepey).

My granny lived on the top of Boxhill - well, half-way up it and ran "The Friends of Box Hill" for years :), and we lived in a cottage in Mickleham. Sundry relatives still resident in the area including my bro. We'll all be pitching up there for a massive family shindig at the end of April.

motherinferior · 05/03/2013 20:41

I just threw a massive wobbly, complete with banshee screaming at the Inferiorettes, because my email had wiped all its messages.

I now realise that if I wipe messages off my new iPhone they vanish off my computer.

Nooo, MI.

I gave up on the whole "email synching" thing, because any email that came to my phone did not appear on my PC ( so I had to keep re-sending them to myself). I deleted the email account on my phone, so much simpler.

motherinferior · 05/03/2013 21:02

It wasn't too appalling.

Frankly I really appreciate being able to synch the buggers.

Cremolafoam · 05/03/2013 21:24

Can you log in online to your server
( yahoo/bt) or whatever and see them there? I know I'm able toWink
Hope do MIConfused

MrsSchadenfreude · 05/03/2013 21:33

Are you due on, MI? Grin

Re the mediation, will see how it goes. I am not terribly optimistic.

And back to periods - why do DD1 and I still not come on in synch? I come on two weeks after her, regular as clockwork.

CointreauVersial · 05/03/2013 22:11

I haven't had a period since about October.

It is going to be a bloodbath once it actually happens, isn't it?

MrsSchadenfreude · 05/03/2013 22:18

Envy at CV. I have been unable to source extra super bucket fanny sized tampons this month (Monoprix has either run out or has stopped stocking them, and I refuse to pay 7 euros for a small box of tampons knitted in spun silk by French nuns from the pharmacy) and have had to buy ordinary super, which frankly do not cope with the flow at all.

French women clearly do not bleed and nor do they have tits as it's also difficult to get a bra here bigger than a B cup, or possibly a C in a big back size. I expect it's because they all live on fags and black coffee and don't eat.

Blackduck · 05/03/2013 23:34

CV tell me about it, except my last one was ummm.....August (I think) got lost in house move.....

Moonriver - please to tell you we can now do four whole lines....when its good its v v good, when its bad...it's crap....

herbaceous · 05/03/2013 23:37

I'm doing Moon River in my little group too! One person per part. Ours isn't too bad - depends on the arrangement, I believe.

bigTillyMint · 06/03/2013 06:29

TME alert!

MrsS, even a super-mega-plus tampon plus a nighttime pad was not enough for an hour at my worst before the HRT - be warned, CV! No wonder my iron levels are so low. Am now trying Floradix which makes me feel a bit sick every time I take itHmm but does not seem to be causing any constipation (like the ferrous sulphate tabs did)Grin

Oh, I love Moon River. Maybe I sould join a singing group?Grin

Blackduck · 06/03/2013 08:29

Moon River - we are doing the original (I think) which has the discordant stuff in it - very hard, becuase, even for someone musically challanged like me you wince at the 'off key' bits, but together it is fab (when it works and the sops aren't drifting towards the altos and the altos to the tenors .... you get the point :) ) We have a 'date' to sing on stage (gulp) I shall hide behind someone I think...

BTM - yes, I had one like that - I was going through industrial quantities of tampons AND towels, and changing almost hourly (cost me a bloody (ha ha) fortune...)

bigTillyMint · 06/03/2013 11:52

BD, I had many like thatSad

bigTillyMint · 06/03/2013 16:51

Just to update on clothes for the monster 11yo DS (5'4" and 8st3Shock) - CV you might be interested to know that I got some swim shorts in 13-14 from Gerorge at Asda and a couple of pairs of chinos shorts (and trousers in W28L30, but they also do W26) in Primarni. He is a happy boy!

The 32DD bikini that I ordered for DD from George also fits!

motherinferior · 06/03/2013 17:06

I have been having hot flushes. I AM NOT IMPRESSED.

Blackduck · 06/03/2013 17:11

Oh MI they are hideous (haven't had one for a while) had MONTHS when I slept with one foot permanently stuck out of the bed - well, slept might be overstating the case...

Cremolafoam · 06/03/2013 17:34

MI - me too. Bloody nightmare drug the Gynae has me on. 17 hot flushes a day, no sleep and just a little bit on the wrong side of pissed off ALL THE TIME!!Angry I am trying ice cube sucking as recommended on here somewhere.
I am not suffering fools in any wayBlush

motherinferior · 06/03/2013 20:22

I'm at a concert of performances from local schools. The band from the school for kids with SN was totally brilliant.

I did think of you, BTM, when the band from the pupil referral unit didn't turn up. (Admittedly they weren't supposed to - sent a recording.)

CointreauVersial · 06/03/2013 22:40

Our central heating is so rubbish it was only the hot flushes keeping me warm this last winter. Grin

Blimey, BTM, your boy is huge! DS is about that height, but he is 13.

Stropperella · 07/03/2013 14:37

I hate the English education system. Stupid tick-boxing bloody sausage factory.

If I had the money I would go far far away.

Bah.

herbaceous · 07/03/2013 14:42

Am I one of the few crepeys with a regular 'monthly visitor'? I'm hoping she'll gradually peter out with a whimper, than go out with a flood-based 'bang'. Though I do need some kind of heavy supplement to get me through the PMT and banging headaches each month. Angus Castus? Black Cohosh? Magnesium? Or what?

On another note, our hall is nearly finished, and thoughts are turning to a new stair and landing carpet. I fancy a stripy one, but are they just like TOTALLY over?

motherinferior · 07/03/2013 14:47

Oh, my visitor turns up. Ho yes.

I am unflushed today though suspect that is partly because I have the heating off.

bigTillyMint · 07/03/2013 15:16

Stropps, what's happened?

I have a monthly visitor - bang on and about a 10th (no exaggeration) of the previous flow, thanks to the HRT Smile Am I the only crepey on HRT?

Got to go to look at bloody mobile phones with DS when I get in as he is set on getting some particular model and needs to be forced to look around at cheaper different models. Bah!

Stropperella · 07/03/2013 15:23

It was all very regular here until 3 months ago. Have been 1 or 2 weeks late for the last 3. No flooding, but I suffered from hideous flooding and monstrous cramps throughout my 20s and 30s and my 40s have been a lovely light revelation so far.

Mirena coil was a terrible plan for me, but they are v. good when they suit you. I am Envy of those who can use 'em.

I cannot comment on stair carpets as I invariably pick one which the coffee stains will blend into. I think the colour of our current one is "caramel twist". (I prob deffo win the prize as the least house-proud crepey).
