It had to be done.
Phew that feels better.
Over here crepeys. All very welcome (but only if you're crepey).

Don't want to say too much on here, suffice it all went tits up last week.

Blackduck · 24/02/2013 23:08

Oh MrsS really that bad?
Surely the way forward is to breeze in tomorrow like nothing happened and steamroller any comments/looks? (BD talking shite again, but isn't that what is recommended?)

CointreauVersial · 24/02/2013 23:23

Oh dear, MrsS. Something to do with AB, perchance?

BTW - your problematic "W" reminds me of the story about the day George "Dubya" Bush took over the presidency of the US....his incoming staff discovered that someone had removed the W key from every computer in the White House.Grin

You'll be pleased to hear that I was a dutiful mummy today and went to watch DS's match.....and they won! Finals are sometime in April, when at least it will be warmer. I couldn't feel my hands for most of the second half.

Cremolafoam · 24/02/2013 23:46

Gold star cv for standing in the cold
Grin
That will match beachys golden thumb! I once had a meal of sausage and mash at geneva airport and it came to £ 82.00 Shock
I shit you not.
Rofl @ wand erection. Will be working at their concert tooSmile
Had to run a crèche tonight. Several children ( aged between 6 and 12 )were just left at the venue on their own - no adult. Dumped outta the car. No tickets .
Super!

bigTillyMint · 25/02/2013 07:03

CremolaShock And I thoughht 8 euros 70 for 2 bottles of water (Evian, mind you!) was steep!

CV, definitely a gold star! DH got his too (for watching DS's team thrash the opposition 9-2!)

Beachy, I did skiing in the morning, walking in the afternoon (with my friend who doesn't ski) and I am pretty sure that the walking is far better exerciseWink

beachyhead · 25/02/2013 07:06

Crem, my dd wants your job, whatever it is! Although to be fair, she probably won't when she is our age..

Good luck today Mrs S.

Gird your loins Grin

bigTillyMint · 25/02/2013 07:45

Yes, MrsS, chin upSmile

oldqueencrepey · 25/02/2013 13:39

good advice there mrs s. gird your loins, brace yourself, head held high, stiff upper lip... etc etc.

Stropperella · 25/02/2013 13:57

I'm torn between feeling sorry that ds hates all ball and team sports with a passion and feeling v. pleased that as things currently stand I won't be freezing footy mum any time soon. Grin

Hope it's not too gruesome today, MrsS.

Had a major computer prob yesterday (one of my hard disks died) and lost a load of work time. Booooooo. Luckily, the in-house tech has sorted me out by stuffing in another hard drive and, even luckier, I had for once done an extensive back up only a couple of days previously. It could have been worse. And would have been v. expensive were it not for the in-house tech dragging himself from his bed of sickness to do IT first aid.

S&B note: I like this I can't buy it as it is too much money, I would never wear it and I would probably look like a right twit (twoo?) in it. But I just like it. And rather a lot of the knitwear on that site.

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/02/2013 18:27

Well, I was ignored all day by AB and informed that we have to have mediation. And I have to apologise??? I gave Head Honcho a Paddington Hard Stare and said "Me apologise? I don't think so." Someone is very clearly lying here and trying to cover their tracks very unsuccessfully. And it's not me.

Blackduck · 25/02/2013 19:14

MrsS he truly is a piece of work isn't he?!
Will HH listen to your side of the story?

Cremolafoam · 25/02/2013 19:38

Beachy wish was my job was glamorous but sadly not....
Stropps I love that dress but c'est tres cher. Also like www.peopletree.co.uk/archive/women/dresses/orla-kiely-alpine-grove-flared-dress which is not quite so ruinous. I bought an orla scarf on uniqlo which I love and gives me a soupcon of her style @10 pounds!
Mrs S - feel so sorry for your situation in work . Dh has just come thru mediation with his dickhead boss who is a finger pointer extaordinaire.
V Stressful.

hattymattie · 25/02/2013 20:26

oh Mrs S - I don't know the backstory but that sounds really stressful. Have a
Wine.

bigTillyMint · 25/02/2013 20:39

MrsS, how many months till you leave? Can you go off with stress? That is, in hindsight, what I should have done in a previous job situation with an incapable boss.

So much for our relaxing skiing holiday - we are all in meltdown now as we are too tired to be back at schoolConfused

Stropperella · 25/02/2013 21:41

That sounds mightily shit, MrsS. I hope HH will see through AB's crap.

Crem, I also have a cheapie Orla from Uniqlo. I picked up a polo neck shirt in the sale - not much more than a tenner. I'm not a dress-wearer. I would love to be, but they don't fit my lifestyle and don't suit me much either. I like looking at them, though. :)

motherinferior · 25/02/2013 22:07

My new dress has arrived and despite unprepossessing origins is really rather nice. With a slash of red lipstick and various bits of jewellery.

motherinferior · 25/02/2013 22:07

Mine's black. Much MUCH nicer than the grey.

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/02/2013 22:07

My by-line is "don't fuck with me because you won't win" so let's hope it holds good!

A little levity. Some friends have put on FB photos of themselves in fancy dress at their Oscar Night Party, saying "Guess which films we went as?" He is obviously "Life of Pi" (and has been guessed as such by several people) but no-one can guess her. I wanted to put "Life of Pie?" as she has put on a bit of weight lately (haven't we all), but am really not that cruel. So I am going to go for Django Unchained as she is wearing a lot of bling. (DH has unhelpfully posted on her wall "Was there an Elvis Tribute movie nominated?")

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/02/2013 22:09

Oooh, nice MI. Like that one. I have some basics from Lands End that just go on and on.

CointreauVersial · 25/02/2013 22:44

Nice dress, MI. Regardless of its origins.

Ah, MrsS, the sooner you get the hell out of there...... An ArseBoss can be so utterly demoralising. I've only had one in my time, but I ended up resigning to get away from him (for a considerably better job). Mediation schmediation.

bigTillyMint · 26/02/2013 07:38

Love the dress MI - woolly is goodSmile

I think I might look a bit clownish in the OK one, though I do have a Uniqlo OK scarf!

Like the "Don't fuck with me" by-line, MrsS!

Last night, DS lost a homework (that he had done) that he has to give in today - got hysterical about itHmm but where could it have gone? He had it on Sunday nightConfused

Blackduck · 26/02/2013 08:18

nice dress MI.
BTM - inside another piece of homework/book? Our trauma was ds realising on Sunday that there was rather more to the homework than he thought......

MrsS - give 'em hell (and don't apologise). I also second BTM's idea of time off unless you think it might scupper your chances workwise. I had a hideous 6 months in a job where not only my boss, but the whole organisation, was incompetent. I finally resigned/walked out, but it did untold damage to my self esteem (which ain't great at the best of times...)

hattymattie · 26/02/2013 08:23

Very nice dress MI - I don't think I could wear it - these sort of things mould nicely round my mummy tummy.

Mrs S there was an old quote "don't let the bastards get you down" or something like that.

bigTillyMint · 26/02/2013 08:49

BD, yes, that's what we said - inside something he handed in. But he was beyond reason last night.....

There seems to be a lot of it about BD/MrsS - our Head was only given the push when 11 of us walked, despite various attempts to enlighten the bigwigsConfused

Cremolafoam · 26/02/2013 12:46

Most useful looking dress MI. not something my voluminous curves could handle sadly.Hmm
Mrs S - may the force be with you
