My Poundland gift was a Tito puente cd - love those Cuban rythms!
I got dh some onion sets for planting.

Cremolafoam · 15/02/2013 11:33

Yes live BTM - she was brilliant - so proud.

herbaceous · 15/02/2013 11:43

That Oscar Pistorius hasn't got a leg to stand on.

Sorry.

Blackduck · 15/02/2013 11:51

Herbs that is a terrible joke....

I have cleaned the bottom of the house and am now summoning up the energy to tackle the top.....I might go to the local cafe and drink tea first though :) (my one child free day for the coming week)

Cremola Grin

Do I win the award for Most Crepey Remark of the Day, with "oooh, do we have any darning wool"? Do I? Do I?

In other news, I've just been to get my eyebrows threaded (yes, yes, I know but it's only a fiver and look, I work on a women's mag, I could be a lot more high-maintenance) and the woman doing it said AGAIN that ooh look you're getting spots (small cloggy things, blocked pores mainly) and then I bumped into someone I know from my first antenatal group who said 'oh, you know, I've always wondered if you had thyroid problems because you were having such weight problems' - I HAD JUST HAD A BABY FFS AND CAN I POINT OUT I AM ABOUT THREE STONE LIGHTER THAN YOU, EH?

I also managed to empty my mooncup all over the bathroom floor this morning. Naice.

CointreauVersial · 15/02/2013 17:07

Ooo, eyebrow threading, what fun. I've only ever done DIY with a pair of tweezers.

No mooncup stories here, because AF has been conspicuously absent since about October. I've never had a gap this long. I am just a teeny weeny bit concerned.......Hmm

Herbs, oooo, you are awful. Grin I'm still on the horse jokes.

bigTillyMint · 15/02/2013 17:45

My threader is £6 and does a great job. However, I prefer waxing as it hurts less!

I have never used a mooncup.

Finally on holiday, but I can't have a drink as DH is going out so I am doing both gym runsSad Will have to make up for it tomorrowWink

motherinferior · 15/02/2013 17:50

BTM, do let me know about your threader as I have gone off mine in a big way Grin. Also - though she does a nice job - she moans a lot. Even more than I do Grin

Blackduck · 15/02/2013 20:17

Never threaded or tweezered - think my eyebrows aren't too bad (delusional possibly!)
No moon cup (no period in, erm, forgotten - a while... - maybe this is the long farewell)
Despite hangover have consumed a couple of pints and had a good chin wag in the local...great start to h-t. Off to London tomorrow for a couple of days.
British Library on Sunday for the Mughal Indian exhibition.

MrsSchadenfreude · 15/02/2013 20:42

I didn't get the job. No-one did - they are going to re-advertise it. I am awaiting written feedback, but was told on the phone that my interview was "really strong". So why didn't they give me the job? Sad

I now have Wine and suspect that this will not be the only glass I have tonight.

I've applied for another job, which would actually be perfect, and if I don't get that one, then I'm giving up.

bigTillyMint · 15/02/2013 20:51

How odd. Can you reapply?

Anyway everything happens for a reason. You WILL end up with the right job for youSmile

Blackduck · 15/02/2013 20:52

Oh MrsS that is crap, so sorry. Will you be able to go for it again (would you want to?). What the hell are they looking for?

CointreauVersial · 15/02/2013 21:14

Boooo to interview knock-back, MrsS. Wine Wine sounds like a good plan.

Cremolafoam · 15/02/2013 22:48

Confused Sorry about the job mrs S.
Why the actual did they not give it to you if you were very strong. I'd be after a serious feedback session .
I was passed over for a job recently - complete set up- they had already got someone .
Waste of a day.
More wine I say( although I rarely drink theses days)WineWineWine
Herbs I have heard that joke approx 8 times today.lol doesn't get better with ageGrin
That and Filly Crispy Pancakes.
BiscuitShock
My cold has shifted to my chest now .
How much phlegm can one person produce.?
No don't answer that. It's an awful lot.
I could find other uses for a mooncup....

CointreauVersial · 15/02/2013 22:58

Ew, Cremola. Have some more Wine Wine Wine Wine

Cremolafoam · 15/02/2013 23:01

Oh awright then

Dh is bladdered. He is curled up embryonically on the sofa. Bless
He's had a pig of a day.
Dd has had the best day of her life on the BBC
I am just exhausted and have to work
Tomorrow. Yaaaaaaaaaaaa!

CointreauVersial · 15/02/2013 23:23

Sorry I missed your DD. How old is she?

MrsSchadenfreude · 15/02/2013 23:41

Herbs - that Oscar Pistorius - it wouldn't have happened if he'd got no arms.

Cremolafoam · 16/02/2013 00:18

She's 17

motherinferior · 16/02/2013 11:20

V nice friend came round last night, to share a bottle of cheap fizz. She doesn't drink much. It seemed a pity to waste it...

I have seen a job which doesn't madly fry my onion but which I could do: suppose I should apply although (a) note non-onion frying point above (b) I do already have next month booked up with work - tbh even if nothing else comes along I'll be OK - (c) my confidence is shot to hell at the moment after various applications that got NOWHERE (this is not just me, fellow MN hack who has track record as long as your arm has had similar experience). Wot think, fellow Crepeys?
