Jeans - I just CANT get into skinny jeans. So what should I wear?

a straight leg is the next best thing, boot cut can be very frumpy.

I prefer a skinny flare, myself. Skinny to below the knee then flare bit. Look good rolled up bit as well if long and give you more options re shoes and boots. Seem to balance your figure better than skinny. Otherwise, agree that straight look good as well

Not at all (and been around for ages). It's the good bits of skinny and the good bits of flare, all in the one jean (singular).

I want to know why all the jeans now have to rest somewhere on your hips which ensures everyone gets a flash of your knickers when you bend over. I have a high waist with doesn't help but am getting very tired of all the hipster cut fashion. Where can I go to get jeans that are both sensible but sexy or is that an oxymoron!?

Boot cuts are a classic and very flattering

I can get into skinny leg, but they are really uncomfortable. I think slim leg are comfy all over. I would like some bootleg jeans, but always find them too tight on the tops of the legs (a bit like skinny jeans!).

Anyhow if bootcut are mumsy and frumpy, and I wear skinny flares, won't people think 'a frumpy lady in bootcuts'? Cos they won't be able to read the label to see they are actually skinny flares ala VB (not that I really want to look like her anyhow). Unless I drop my jeans on the school run, which equally I don't think will be a good look.

Today I am wearing maternity boyfriend cut jeans with frayed hems. Maybe anything is an improvement eh?

I cant wear skinny jeans either, I have tried many pairs from many shops I find them uncomfortable and unflattering on me and i'm a size 8. I have a roundish bum and thighs then below the knee I have legs as thin as a budgies, the skinnies do not work!!

I stick to bootcut and boyfriend they tend to hide my wonky legs!!

caerlaverock I do like the skinny flares better actually, they are a nicer shape. But the difference is pretty minimal...

and are you frumpy claimed, or do you look cool and sexy?
