Your ultimate boots?

There is a distinct chill in the air, back to school butterflies, starting to feel wistful about bare legs.

It's time for layers, snugly scarves, cosy knits.....and boots!

Even if you wear yours early season with bare legs and the remains of your tan, or save them for tights; if you prefer them under your boot cut jeans or you like tucking your skinnies in.....what would be your dream boot style?

Biker? Flat? Buckles and studs? Cuban heel? Cowboy? Suede? Lace-up? Black, chestnut or grey? Maybe red or purple?

I would love to hear about your ultimate boot! You may have already found them....or...maybe never been able to find your perfect pair?

Black biker calf lengths, I think......

Mellower · 03/09/2012 19:51

Yeah I found mine, so bought 2 pairs, they were lovely, you could wear them with skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans or eve some officey clothes.

They were Timberland, they were suede, I cannot find them anywhere anymore. They also stopped you sliding about in the snow!

God I loved those boots! I am so annoyed at throwing them out, even if they were stained and dirty. Grin The 2 pairs lasted 3 years.

I have some mid calf tan boots that I love too! I think they look great with dresses.

I'm still looking for the perfect mahogany tall boot - extra narrow leg, riding boot style, minimal embellishments.

mrsfassbender · 03/09/2012 20:42

these are what I'm after! Love their boots, they're all beautiful

GobblersKnob · 03/09/2012 20:59

Dr Martens, can be worn with absolutely anything (if you are me Grin).

Mellower · 03/09/2012 21:00

They are nice mrsfassbender.

mrsfassbender · 03/09/2012 21:03

Aren't they just, shame they're not a bit cheaper! They are worth it though, lovely quality. Next payday I'm getting em!

SundaeGirl · 03/09/2012 21:09

I don't own these, but I would dearly like to.

I have to walk for the bus in the rain and these are like the world's poshes wellies.

bulletwithbutterflywings · 03/09/2012 21:15

I need cowboy boots. Chestnut in color, mid calf height, NO stupid studs or sparkly bits. They just don't seem to exist :(

Mellower · 03/09/2012 21:38

£750 for a pair of boots WTF do they walk you places by themselves. Grin

£150 I thought was a little expensive but £750, that's crazy my car cost less. Okay it's a heap of crap but you know....

SundaeGirl · 03/09/2012 21:51

It'd be an investment.

That's a joke but my husband's not laughing

Mellower · 03/09/2012 21:55

Oh they would last for years though and you would most likely not slip in snow with them and always have warm, unwet feet.

They must be magical! Must are they are make, I need to go look at them again, I think I seen the £750 and just shut the page Grin.

Mellower · 03/09/2012 21:58

Oh no I must stop looking at them, they are lovely. I want them. I don't have any husband to answer to but I think it may take until next Winter to save. Sad I could ask for all my birthdays/christmases for the next few years, this year from my parents! Hmm

I wonder if it bad practice to take out a loan for boots.

As you say, they are like an investment. I have the page open, going in for another look, I might click on the Benneton ones but I really like the super expensive ones.

MarshaBrady · 03/09/2012 22:00

A semi glossy very narrow bitter chocolate riding boot.

Quite like Dona's in fact.

SundaeGirl · 03/09/2012 22:05

Magical is right!

Sold out in so many sizes. Lucky, lucky people.

alwaysrunninginheels · 03/09/2012 22:06

But it's nearly impossible to find narrow legged ones....I have tried to replace a 8 year old pair of Hobbs slim leg ones with no success!!!! Tried everywhere last year.

Mellower · 03/09/2012 22:08

OMG so they are, I have been to Bottega Veneta and they still have my size.

Oh I love them. I could sell the crappy car and just walk everywhere in my boots!

Cinderariel · 03/09/2012 22:15

Get a grip, ladies..those Bottega Veneta are seriously boring.. and look at the cheapo plasticky heel! They are taking the piss surely?

crazybutterflylady · 04/09/2012 07:20

Topshop have some lovely plain riding style boots in ATM. Sadly I am chunky of calf so I think this year I might do myself a favour and stick with calf length boots.

stinky are those Aldo boots easy to get on? I don't see a zip Hmm

Are these horrific or ok? I'm not sure about the furry panel?!

Mellower · 04/09/2012 07:55

Cheapo some different make I'm thinking at £750 yes topshop have some nice ones. I am still googling my old calf length Timberlands but cannot find them, I wish I could remember their name, they also had "a name".

Oh Ds school, wakey time.
