Your ultimate boots?

There is a distinct chill in the air, back to school butterflies, starting to feel wistful about bare legs.

It's time for layers, snugly scarves, cosy knits.....and boots!

Even if you wear yours early season with bare legs and the remains of your tan, or save them for tights; if you prefer them under your boot cut jeans or you like tucking your skinnies in.....what would be your dream boot style?

Biker? Flat? Buckles and studs? Cuban heel? Cowboy? Suede? Lace-up? Black, chestnut or grey? Maybe red or purple?

I would love to hear about your ultimate boot! You may have already found them....or...maybe never been able to find your perfect pair?

I quite like these though I need them for the school run and think the heel may be too high for walking to school and back a couple of times a day...not sure if they are a bit mumsy either?

MadameOvary · 07/09/2012 17:24

Sleep I have only worn them once and they are actually quite comfortable due to the slightly padded insole. But yes, difficult to walk any distance in. I had a change of footwear in my bag and I used it for the journey home

They are vvv sexy though and I really bought them to wear on stage at our next gig. Gonna team them with an Alexander McQueen top and leather trousers Grin

I ordered some Ugg Kensington's which arrived yesterday, they are lovely but I can't get my left foot in them, I don't have abnormally sized heels or feet, think that they're faulty. Will probably have to return them, they were a bargain at £60 too!

PopGoesTheWeeble · 07/09/2012 20:45

Allice where were the Ugg Kensington's from at that price?!

luckysocks · 07/09/2012 21:12

I have some Ugg kensingtons, I love them.

They were a bugger to get my feet into at first. Are you absolutely sure you can't wriggle it on??! They loosen up a lot as you wear them and are actually a perfect fit (although getting them on at 8 months pg with my elephant ankles had my DH shaking his head while trying not to laugh - not much of a sense of humour left at that stage Blush )

Allice · 07/09/2012 21:39

They're from Office, the colour is lavender but they're actually a distressed tan colour.

I have tried and tried and I just can't get it on, my right foot is ok but the left one no way! I know others who got the same ones who also have the same problem.

I wonder if they're a dodgy batch, I don't have excessively big ankles or heels. I can't get my heel down past that heel strengthener bit.

I dream of a knee high, dark grey or blue grey suede fitted boot with an everyday heel...

Never seen them, yet!

I could wear them with brown bare lgs, or tights.

Mellower · 08/09/2012 20:15

Oh I am drolling over some of these boots, I may need several paids this year!! I love the Ebay ones, I am single parents so usually look for cheap ones but think I may save and get some expensive ones, I like those Caterpillar ones, they rock!

I like the angle boots too but I feel they would make me too tall, I don't like standing out from the crowd with my height. I might change my mind though. I do that. A lot!

Mellower · 08/09/2012 20:16

I would also LOVE some Ugg boots but only if they hasd a sign saying "I am real - not £10 ones from shoe-fayre" my friend had some last year, they were like cosy slipper! Bliss! Hmmm early Christmas present, eek @ that word. The C word. Way too early.

Shenanagins · 08/09/2012 20:26

I saw a gorgeous lace stileto ankle high in new look - kind of reminded me of the boot from the recent desperately seeking Susan thread. they were lovely, wholly impractical and i just wanted to be a teenager again just so i could buy them for going out in. will probably buy something dull and practical instead.

xMinerva · 08/09/2012 22:41

Cowboy boots.

Tan, mid calf, no crappy studs/sparkly stuff.

Got them off eBay, worn a few times (so already broken in and so bloody comfortable but looking great) for £10.

And these great in autumn/winter. 6yrs later and still going strong.

thepeoplesprincess · 08/09/2012 23:15

I'm all about the ten eyelet DMs.

Chandon · 09/09/2012 08:36

Mellower, it is easy to spot the difference! No worries there.

Mellower · 09/09/2012 12:41

theese sound very cosy but I would like to see them in real life

I am going to go find my Timberland ones....actually they were 6 years ago so they may not make them anymore. Sad I want my nice boot back why did only buy 2 pairs I should have bought 10 pairs.
