And the terrifying thing is I don't even know what sort of boots I want

I'm thinking biker replacements chunky and black

OP posts:
cybbo · 27/08/2012 20:34

But I'm wondering if longer boots look a bit dated now

Is it that time of year already? Wink

cornybootseeker · 27/08/2012 23:09

CYBBO Grin
I'm also dithering about boots...have been looking at loads on line. Ordered this pair from Boden but too tight so have sent them back.
Someone linked to some gorgeous ones t'other day...should have marked the thread.

cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:00

First year ever I am not getting any unless I find perfect flat pair. Am wearing my ash ones for 3rd year and my frye Alikes everyday. Am worried that all, ankle boots are starting to look loose women ish to me

cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:09

Lol at loose women ish

So what's the answer then? Short calf length? I do need to replace chunky ones, I've lived in them for about 7 years, they were indestrucable

OP posts:
cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:11

I reckon these would see me right

OP posts:
noddyholder · 28/08/2012 09:14

I want flat black maybe biker. I like all different lengths and seem to be more drawn to shoes ATM. I need quite long for skirts otherwise looks odd on me. My ash ones are higher than ankle but are studded and so can only wear with certain things. I think biker always looks good and all the mumsy biker wearers have moved on to ankles Southey look cool again

noddyholder · 28/08/2012 09:14

Love those

cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:16

Noddeds you know I have NEVER been a mumsy biker. Perish the thought

Fly boots the mummy choice round here

OP posts:
cornycrocskin · 28/08/2012 09:16

what about something like these? or these last year's styles I think.
I'm also searching for the perfect pair...seems to justify the expense if they are perfect!

cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:17

I have brown sheepskin lined fryes that I got in TK few years ago and I love love love

When I've paid for my holiday on credit card I might go for it

OP posts:
cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:18

I need a bit more chunk in the trunk. Have very skinny legs so need it to balance out

OP posts:
noddyholder · 28/08/2012 09:18

I know but noticed lots of mumsy types in them the last few years! Hate flys never liked them though. I volunteer in charity shop and loads of flys and Boden!

cornycrocskin · 28/08/2012 09:18

are these awful?

cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:20

these might be even better than workbook ones

OP posts:
noddyholder · 28/08/2012 09:20

Me too. If too big gap between skirt and boot I look silly unless it's a mini. Tose black ones are a good price you will never tire

cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:20

Corny yes

OP posts:
cornycrocskin · 28/08/2012 09:22

Grin thanks cyb

cybbo · 28/08/2012 09:22

Yes that is the beauty of a longer boots, the old skirt/dress length dilemma

god it's a minefield isn't it

OP posts:
cocolepew · 28/08/2012 09:22

There are nice bikerish boots on the Dr Martens website. I can't link though because I'm on my phone and don't know how. They are in the 'rugged' collection.

cornycrocskin · 28/08/2012 09:22

I like that second pair best cyb
