round toe, medium/low heel (like up to 2.5 inches), knee length, wide calf and foot, preferably in grey, navy, red, purple, but would live with black/brown. No fussy nonsense.

I understand from ASOS and My Wardrobe that ankle boots are in next season. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find a pair to replace my beloved worn to death and beyond New Look light grey suede ankle boots (kind of pointed at end, slouchy at top - look better than they sound honest)! Seen anything like that on your internet travels?

Those are great corny. I fear that my rugby player's calves and giant feet will not squeeze into those tiny Portuguese sizes - I can never wear Fly sizes, unless they've started doing wide fit. Watching thread with interest!
