For everyone who wants to harp on about their new purchases, enjoys links and some chat. Here is to new beginnings!

rufus, are they not v. low cut?

AuldAlliance · 20/08/2012 12:55

Don't think Hush do many freebies, TBH.
Have pre-ordered the jacket. I have a few things from Hush and have never been disappointed (oh, except by a jumper that bobbled the moment I unwrapped it. Had erased that from my memory). Fingers crossed, as returns from here cost a packet.

Love those Zara t-shirts. Are they see-through at all rufus?

Decameron, have you picked a specific location for your retirement plans? I'm in Provence.

NewChoos · 20/08/2012 13:18

I'm on pinterest - is it ok if I follow people? I'd love some more ideas. I'm under my first real name (A) but honestly think I'm far to boring for anyone to stalk me :)

MarshaBrady · 20/08/2012 13:32

Yes follow me Newchoos!

SO lovely to see Decam, Rufus, Bloss, Pickled and Always. Made my day.

And lovely to see new posters too. Need to read!

Sorry can't catch up but just found the best thing to do. A paddling pool, a big bike pump and some liquid soap. They have been creating a bubble pool for ages. Ds1's idea. Grin

pickledsiblings · 20/08/2012 13:49

Fab Marsha and no need for a bath later Smile.

OBface · 20/08/2012 13:50

I'm really quite new to MN and S&B feels like my 'natural home' so hello!

Can't remember who was asking but I find J Brand to err on the side of large HTH. My agnes' are especially huge.

I have Zara linen tees and they are low cut not an issue for me without the hint of a chest but still a good wardrobe staple.

Off to find you all on Pinterest, pretty sure I pinned from one of you a while back after seeing a link on here. Initials are LP for anyone wondering who the random follower is... Love the site.

Decameron · 20/08/2012 14:01

Hi Obface and wave to Marsha!

AuldAlliance, sounds fab. I think a villa (with a pool of course!) in the hills above Nice. Also a house in West Cork and an apartment in London. Grin Better do the lottery/tippex siblings' names out of will/ or even get a job!

The Zara tees look good.

Pickled, try PREVIEW12 for 10% off and free delivery at Hush.

shopafrolic · 20/08/2012 15:06

DonaAna I live in 7FAM so perhaps I should just stick with what I know. They are definitely long enough and make my bum look reasonable!
Just wanted to say to you all thanks for welcoming me on here! I am struggling a little as a SAHM with an 18mth DS who is having daily tantrums - it is so nice to talk to a bunch of women about clothes without feeling guilty!!
It looks as though I may be getting my colours done tomorrow although unfortunately not with HoC. Sounds as though it will be a worthwhile investment pre shopping trip.
Am feeling strangely nervous about Saturday - have never been able to spend so much money in one hit, but I am keen to finally find 'my style' as I think I've been hovering in the mumsy clothes wilderness for too long. I used to be much more fashion forward pre DS.
The Zara tees look brilliant and I love that jacket. Have lots of new followers on Pin - thanks! Smile
Rainy morning at the animal farm this morning with 4 toddlers so nice to be home and catch up on email and MN while DS sleeps. Am off to check my lottery tickets now in the hope that I can fly to Rome to visit a girlfriend!

pickledsiblings · 20/08/2012 15:26

This scarf is sooo gorgeous but I fear it would swamp me and I never really get that cold. Bloss, you need it!

blue2711 · 20/08/2012 15:27

Hello! Lovely thread again. Nice to 'meet' some fab new posters. Particularly love hearing about life abroad and spending sprees. Your colours day and shopping trip sound awesome shopafrolic. Can I follow you on Pin too please?

Saw that boucle Zara jacket dona. Sounds great. As you are clearly our resident Good housekeeping expert Wink please could you tell me how to tighten my whistles animal skinnies just a little?

Glad you're having lovely hols bloss. I love scrabble.

Midland drizzle here too. Wearing grey j brand floral skinnies, cobalt blue tee, neon pink shorouk necklace.

blue2711 · 20/08/2012 15:28

One last thing, can anyone recommend a good one piece swimming costume for the seriously flat chested? I'm talking padding, ruching, serious shape providing! Thanks!

shopafrolic · 20/08/2012 15:33

Hi blue feel free to follow me on Pin - the more the merrier. I do go through phases with it tho so I splurge and then disappear for weeks.
I meant to ask earlier - what dresses are you all wearing day to day? Any links?

NewChoos · 20/08/2012 15:49

I'm not sure if they are particularly stylish... but I have a few of FC jersey dresses that I wear mainly to work but also very versatile in winter with boots. www.frenchconnection.com/product/Woman+Collections+Dresses/71KP8/Timber+Jersey+Long+Sleeve+Dress.htm

rufus101 · 20/08/2012 16:33

Pickled no chest here so don't notice that they are low cut. To me they are the right amount. The bit of cleavage I have isn't noticeably exposed anyway. You can't wear a bright coloured bra though (have a hot pink one)!

Decameron · 20/08/2012 16:41

I have the Me&Em cap sleeve, martini and pocket dresses in black and navy and rotate those in hot weather.

FritziGreenEyes · 20/08/2012 16:45

blue Have you tried Seafolly for swimwear?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 20/08/2012 16:56

Thanks Decameron I like those. PArticularly the cap sleeve.
Colours booked for tomorrow AM - wish me luck!

StrikeAPose · 20/08/2012 17:09

shop Look forward to hearing your diagnosis Grin. Any idea what you are already? If you're a summer, I have some pinterest stuff on it.

blossoming · 20/08/2012 18:03

I really didn't need to click

blossoming · 20/08/2012 18:12

on your scarf link pickled, in 40C heat!
Going biking and wine tasting tomorrow.
Spending a fortune on suntan lotion. Did I mention the St Tropez lasted just 4 days?
I'd like an apartment in Paris and a villa with pool in St R de Provence. Heading there for lunch this week sometime and a good ogle in estate agents' windows!

blossoming · 20/08/2012 18:14

Hope things go well tomorrow shop. I'm a Winter. All jewel colours, and black!

DonaAna · 20/08/2012 18:31

My bright color palette must be working - got a load of compliments today from a close friend (who can also be very critical) - she loved the fluoro coral jacket and the bright green Zatchel. Did not tell that I've seen a color analyst - good luck with having yours done. I'm a Light Summer. I find pinning my color swatches very helpful.
Bloss I love St Remy!
Blue I altered my 7FAM Roxannes last year - redid the side seams slimming down the legs. Very easy to do if you know how to sew. Altering the waist is much more tricky, I never ever do that. Once accidentally shrank a cotton lycra skirt in the dryer, cannot recommend, the became very uneven and wrinkly.

pickledsiblings · 20/08/2012 18:32

It's my revenge Bloss Grin

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 20/08/2012 18:33

Wore this with a thin belt to the beach today - mine's dark grey and taupe stripe (I'm a summer).
Enjoy the colour day!

NewChoos · 20/08/2012 18:59

Decameron The cap sleeve dress is gorgeous - could be a good addition to my work wear. Thanks for linking!
