Please tell me about the merits of the mini Gracie. very tempted after my negative experience with the MK bag

NewChoos what happened with your MK? I'm made up with my Gracie, I really and truly love her. The autumn colours are sumptuous too, considering another.

Amber looked at Autumn colours today, considering the grey.
MK bag- clasp tarnished and chipped after 2 weeks (had lots of negative comments with posters accusing me of channelling Margaret Thatcher!)
Would like small bag for when carrying nappy bag as well. Also considering the Mulberry Lily but think it's a but too much for what it is.

Brilliant, now my taste is getting lambasted on another thread. Good thing I have a thick skin, eh?

Wow when I clicked on this thread I certainly wasn't expecting most of what I found!

Good on the W&A ladies for sticking around if this is your new home. I never lurked much (mainly because you lot are so bloody active it's impossible for a "dipper" to keep up) but any time I did there was always a nice vibe on the thread and good links.

The reason I clicked on the thread is that I have not even thought about A/W yet and was looking for inspiration for clothes I might actually buy & wear rather than the fantasy shoots in Vogue itself.

newchoos, I love my Gracie but a small bag did take a bit of getting used to. I can't fit my wallet and phone and keys into it so have to decant my wallet into small coin purse and essential cards. I have the nude one but now think a stronger colour (whether a summer bright or an autumn jewel tone) would look better.

I am just delurking to say that I love this thread. I am a mum of 2 who has always loved fashion. When I became a sahm when kids were small, I lost my sense of style. This thread helped me regain my interest in fashion. For me fashion is 'fun', if I talk about shopping and wish lists to family and friends I often get strange looks. So it is nice to see links on here and read reviews of purchases made. I can also relate to stories re everyday life, family and kids. So thank-you W & A ladies for providing inspiration, written with wit and a hint of fun. It is also nice to see how supportive you are of each other. I am sorry that some poster's put a sour taste in our mouth's today. Pleased don't go! My best purchase this year has been my AH cobalt blue mini Gracie and balenciaga city bag. BTW, I love handbags! Gracie purchase influenced by W & A thread!

Really sorry the A&W tread is gone but this one (with the exception of a couple of posters) looks great.
Best buys this summer were Tommy Hilfiger straight leg jeans from TK Maxx, denim jacket from Dotty P and a jersey pink and white stripe dress for £10 from Dotty P.
For AW looking at this dress and these type of trousers but hopefully for less £££
