I guess you need to add talc to avoid chafing Grin.

mignonette · 17/08/2012 17:05

Regarding intimate sweating, nothing can compare to American Apparel Disco Pants. So sweat causing, your legs slither around inside them....According to DD!

Emo76 · 17/08/2012 17:17

thanks for the gift ideas - got DH a butchery course for xmas which he hasn't used yet and I don't trust him to actually organise himself totake up a flying lesson. but some good ideas. thanks!

cheesesarnie · 17/08/2012 17:22

ooooooh lovely thread!

marking my place for later, i shall be back!

Mymumsdaughter · 17/08/2012 17:48

Cotton undies and talc to combat sweaty leather leggings I remember a pair of skinnyeather trouser I had and the problem is not that bad pleather onthe other hand ...

mignonette · 17/08/2012 17:49

Better made leather leggings sometimes have cotton/ natural gusset linings too....Wink

notyummy · 17/08/2012 18:28

Mr Porter vouchers Emo or Red Letter Day vouchers?

trixymalixy · 17/08/2012 18:51

Is it safe to come in yet?!?!?!

I don't do non-leather shoes, even if I had the legs I wouldn't do pleather leggings.

AmberNectarine · 17/08/2012 18:56

For a minute I thought you said 'even if I had legs' trixy and I was thinking, no wonder she doesn't do non leather shoes...

trixymalixy · 17/08/2012 19:29

Grin Amber

FritziGreenEyes · 17/08/2012 19:59

Need a lie down and some champagne after today's drama. Back with links soon.

MarshaBrady · 17/08/2012 20:04

Me too Fritzi am beat, want to catch up on this.

NotMostPeople · 17/08/2012 20:20

zara I have my eye on this shirt. I'm not sure I would have looked at it twice but I like how it looks with the green trousers (which are also on my list).

MangawhaiHeads · 17/08/2012 20:57

What is happening?? Top purchases of the year are few and far between alas however my top three are: Zadig & Voltaire parka type jacket that has been brill for casual days, pink J Brands that have scarcely been taken off and a yellow clutch from H&M!

MarshaBrady · 17/08/2012 21:01

Dona oh my did you get the off-white grecian Lanvin in the end, well done. I love the DvF. As Hopefully says I'm sure you will be invited to fb and Looby too it's all pretty loose. I need to sort it out too.

Good buy Amber. Love the blazer.

Mignonette I do find the speed at which the high st can copy designer these days very interesting. I wonder how many people switch from designer to high st as a result.

Ants a brave beautiful post. Do keep posting if you want to. I think it was the shock of seeing a new title in S&B attracting posters when they didn't know the back story.

I like that blog RyanL.

Noddy what a arse, really.

I love that Zara outfit NotMostPeople

These are out of season now, but if anyone sees these Marant shoes in this colour or preferably blue that'd be great.

If anyone on here would like to follow me on pin go for it. I can follow back. (although you might want to be in your mn name).

gladyoucame · 17/08/2012 21:02

NotMostPeople I like that Zara shirt too and saw it in store but I think it was 100% polyester, but nice to see pattern on a darker background.

Have delurked briefly before (under difft name) but thread moves so fast i wouldn't be able to keep up. My best buys Aggie boots really cheap (£25ish) after someone posted comment about Asos sale and probably wearing even more in AW12.

Love the links, never feel anything but empathy for some of you girls, but mostly a healthy dose of jealousy about some of your wardrobes. Going back to work after few years out so need you to keep going so I can sort my working wardrobe out Smile

AmberNectarine · 17/08/2012 21:04

I'm going to hang around posting here too. I like the lurkers :)

doghouse · 17/08/2012 21:06

Goodness me! Cannot believe what I am reading! How horrible some people can be.

My best SS12 purchases have been these www.amazon.co.uk/ALDO-Sprouls-Women-Flat-Sandals/dp/B00713YLCM and half of Zara's frayed / Fantasy jacket collection! Thanks for the links Decameron and for the comment re. my links on Pinterest (much) earlier! FWIW, you were my favourite (!) but that is probably because we have similar taste.

Will continue to delurk if you survive. My DH is in Afghanistant for 6 months and this thread keeps me sane in the evenings when DD asleep!

doghouse · 17/08/2012 21:09

Also, can't wait to see how WIT navigates motherhood and that would be no fun on my own! Wink

AmberNectarine · 17/08/2012 21:11

We will survive in some shape, way or form doghouse. I or one am too committed to the cause to stop posing links. Let's have a lurkers amnesty, everyone welcome, regardless of budget and style (wa always the case, but I think some of you felt you couldn't join in unless you were spending £££).

AmberNectarine · 17/08/2012 21:14

Oh yes, WIT, I have been a bit mean about her, but she put my back up with her 'no need for maternity clothes' drivel when she was about 20 weeks, snarling about how people resort to jersey dresses. I notice she a. Has done a feature for Isabella Oliver; and b. has now stopped taking photos completely at 34 weeks. Not so easy to keep wearing those little dresses now...

AmberNectarine · 17/08/2012 21:15

snarking, not snarling, she wasn't that bad!

suntodayplease · 17/08/2012 21:32

Amber I'm glad I'm not the only one who was a little disappointed by WIT and her loose claims to not need maternity wear. Once the heels disappeared I knew it was only a matter of time before the lure of the flattering ruching made an appearance!

Best buys....non bf bras! and high waisted jeans to hold in muffin top

A/W wishlist....navy peacoat

Topazandpearl · 17/08/2012 21:40

Have namechanged from earlier as don't want to be usurping a regular poster's name! (I have posted on other threads but not the same as Amber). I'm glad you are all continuing as I find it really helpful and inspiring. Thank you to all the helpful posters.
My best buy this summer was a silk Mint Velvet tunic top that goes with everything and is very flattering (sorry, can't find pic). It was more expensive than I'd usually spend but has had lots of wear and with continued careful care should continue to last a while.

Turquoiseblue · 17/08/2012 21:55
