Marsha I have this Miele its gone down in price.

MarshaBrady · 08/08/2012 13:29

Yes that's the one GoS! but how do you find the 6kg? The other one is 8kg, do I need those extra 2kg?

Here's the Bosch

Here's the same Miele.

The bigger Miele that fits is over £1k. I mean I love it, and would treasure it because I would love it. But so much.

True Decam! I really must ebay, fabulous DVF.

Bloss that link doesn't work for me, will google.

girlsofsummer · 08/08/2012 13:35

It fits loads I never need to overstuff it. I was originally concerned about smaller size too but have not had any issues or even noticed it really.

I dont use it quite as much now that DD2 is out of nappies. Maybe once a day at most sometimes less.

Its much better for your machine not to put too much in anyway but it can take (for example) a full set of king size bedding plus some extra washing, no problem.

girlsofsummer · 08/08/2012 13:38

We had to get that particular one as the space we have is quite shallow and the machine is not as big as some of the other models.

MarshaBrady · 08/08/2012 13:38

Interesting. Am torn now!

MarshaBrady · 08/08/2012 13:39

Yes us too, needs to be under 60cm so the bigger Miele won't fit. The 8kg Bosch is actually smaller for some reason.

girlsofsummer · 08/08/2012 13:40

I had exactly the same dilemma re jumping up to next Miele. Dh told me not to be silly 6KG was fine - he was right, of course!

girlsofsummer · 08/08/2012 13:42

The Miele is really heavy. You need at least 2 strong people to get it in. Metal drum - old style. Mieles are (apparently) very simple design more like old fashioned macines in that respect which makes them heavy but also very durable (i recall my mum's old machine lasting at least 10 years).

MarshaBrady · 08/08/2012 13:47

Hmmm. Could be good.

We've paid for disposal and delivery so hopefully they will come with enough people. I have dainty wrists Wink

MarshaBrady · 08/08/2012 13:47

I mean installation

alwaysrunninginheels · 08/08/2012 13:48

Wonder why marsha? How do they manage to take a bigger weight but not need bigger outside?

Woop woop- 3 months away from hospital now. Celebrated with huge fudge doughnut in my fav old uni haunt cafe. And by buying this this and waiting for this to come back in my size Zara is great at the moment! Tried this on and loved it- saved only by the fact they didnt have my size in store!

Did someone mention wanting a jeans code. I thought i had read that but then couldnt see if. Anyway NEW50 gives £50 off dona ida new season stock. AM contemplating j brand majors- anyone have them? How do they fit?

alwaysrunninginheels · 08/08/2012 13:50

marsha when my free replacement come from meile it didn't arrive with installation and i managed it- so it must be fairly easy to do! Admittedly the men did put it near where it needed to be....

girlsofsummer · 08/08/2012 13:52

Clever Always installing own washer!

How do you work out clothing "personality"?

I have worked out Dramatic - its like Liberty Ross

a bit lost on others.

girlsofsummer · 08/08/2012 13:53

girlsofsummer · 08/08/2012 13:54

Love the first blouse so pretty!

notyummy · 08/08/2012 13:58

Have a fun weekend GOS - we are going to stay with friends for a night on Saturday who have 2 DDs about the same age as ours....plus a another family with 2 DS is coming - it will be carnage!! Luckily they have a 7 bedroom house (!!) with a massive garden inc chickens/rabbits /trampolines so we are hoping we can just leave the children outside to play whilst we catch up and sip wine!

Steadfastly not clicking on Zara links. My budget (inc Macials and birthday!) is all on track this month....but not if I start indulging. maybe next month. But rather boringly the first thing I need to buy is new socks and trainers...

MarshaBrady · 08/08/2012 14:01
