Marsha British Vogue is still worthwhile for me - the rest so-so (still enjoy well written pieces when too tired for anything else). Most of us buy things in Zara - how often do you see clothes from Zara mentioned in mags (very rarely if ever here because they don't advertise). Many of the mags also style outfits in eclectic fashion editor style that cannot be translated to everyday wear - and I cannot wear outfits like that even to parties (more conservative outfits are the norm).
Bloss good boots are a good investment. Still haven't found mine. Need the impossible: flat, rubber tread soles, tall, narrow calves. Oh and preferably warm and waterproof as well and of course glam

Looking at my wardrobe, it's quite a mix. The city where I live definitely influences my style, even trumping my natural preferences. This might explain some of the style schizophrenia
NYC - black, Brooklyn indie quirky, outlet mishmash (very few things left from that era, have gained weight)
Brazil - sporty during day, very elegant at night (permatanned legs looked very good in khaki and denim skirts; 20 sleeveless maternity cocktail dresses)
Nordic - bright colors, simple shapes, practical detailing (miserable weather; Goretex, wellies, 3 pairs of mum boots
, twinsets for layers of warmth, two fur coats, two Icelandic sweaters, mufflers and mittens)
Rome - more classic, feminine, romantic, luxurious.
