Athletic leap on To new thread.

It's this in cream. Everything had to be from John Lewis with my Mum or it had to be an heirloom. She was, and is, very anti-IKEA. Snob Grin.

The problem is, most parents are our friends and will stay on. Will have to keep numbers down, I think.

Red my 2 youngest have that bed and in fact my eldest had one of them originally and they've lasted really well. And I think they're lovely looking too.

Dec - I find a large glass of wine helps enormously when eating out with the children Wink

Enjoyed the AW wishlist thread - I also want a cream 'screw that turned' type blouse of the kind I've seen in the Marant lookbook but preferably not at Marant prices.

All the September issues have arrived - gap look to have a nice red shrunken wool blazer and some khaki suede ankle boots coming in soon.

MrsCampbellBlack · 02/08/2012 14:32

Oh and the really exciting news is I have potty trained DD who is just 3 so the oldest of mine to be done. On Monday at 4pm she said to me 'this potty training is just NOT working' and then we had a success and she's been dry ever since. When I think of the weeks I spent doing it with the boys at younger ages . . .

AntPants1 · 02/08/2012 14:36

Big wave from dressage at Greenwich. Have been soaked by the rain but atmosphere amazing and team gb in the lead !!!!

alwaysrunninginheels · 02/08/2012 14:37

Grin at thought of wool shruken blazer from GAP- have worn my navy one loads this summer!

MrsCB congratulations- i remember being delighted when my DC3 was potty trained.....life without nappies! The other day i realised we had reached a landmark in that all 3 children can now do their own seatbelts! Its the little things.....

alwaysrunninginheels · 02/08/2012 14:39

Vogue has just arrived. Have yet to open the other mags that have dropped on the mat....Sun shining and mug of tea in hand.....please DC give mummy a moment!

MrsCampbellBlack · 02/08/2012 14:44

Oh god - I can't wait until they can all do their seatbelts - that's a proper milestone.

rufus101 · 02/08/2012 15:37

Mine can all do their seat belts. Yeh! Youngest is 4 and has been doing it for ages now. They do things much earlier than the older ones. I can't wait till they can drive me around! Grin
Got a nice lippie today in Mac Bloss - Endless Drama. Also a neutral colour that is the same colour of my lips. Only better. It's called Soft Sell. They are in the pro longwear range, so I'm putting to the test!

alwaysrunninginheels · 02/08/2012 16:08

Oh rufus did it last???

The real HUGE milestone for my brood will be when they can go to and stay in bed all night......

blossoming · 02/08/2012 16:32

I will definitely check that one out rufus.
I never had puppy fat. I was always angular and skinny; no boobs, no curves. Hated it. Mum cooked all food from scratch and we had sweets only on Friday. I cannot remember ever being driven to school and I was very athletic. Would have given my right arm for curves!
Had a nice day out, bought an iPad for the holidays, and z pinstripe pencil skirt from LKB in black on sale at £40. Bought s pile of magazines, and stationery from Paperchase.

notyummy · 02/08/2012 16:54

Quick wave from the train to London where we are going prior to the Olympic athletics tomorrow! Glad you are enjoying the dressage Ants. Struggling to keep up with the thread this week. Manically busy with a combination of work, parents visiting and social stuff. Have been trying to squeeze in exercise but even that is challenging. Did the Insanity Pure Cardio one for the second time today Hopefully. In a weird way that is the one I like the best. Fit test again next, according to your chart.

No new clothes. Struggled to decide what to wear to London as we will be walking a lot and a mixture of sunshine and showers. Plus we need to be able to carry all our overnight gear in v small bag so literally clean pants znd no changes!! Opted for coated skinnies, flat biker boots and Zara organic cotton Breton. Not exciting but the best compromise I could get between sensible and stylish.

Hope you are all well (sympathies on the throat Red- I have suffered repeatedly so know how grim it is) and are enjoying the Games. Great day for Team GB today.

AmberNectarine · 02/08/2012 17:25

DS (2.6) going through JoJo catalogue pointing out the toys he would like. Boy after my own heart. We had a first poo in the potty yesterday, I was very proud.

red the O bar has revolutionised my life, no more double buggy!

rufus101 · 02/08/2012 17:28

Have a ball NY!
Always 3 hours later, still looking good. Was startled by my own reflection (in a good way!) when I got home and looked in a mirror! - by accident- ahem!

DonaAna · 02/08/2012 18:36

Opening new Vogue now - ahhhh...

girlsofsummer · 02/08/2012 18:45

Oh Bloss thats funny I was a bit envious of some of the more rangy girls (like you) who seemed to be all skinny long legs at that stage whereas I was all curves. Mind you I did used to show my cleavage off. Has never been quite so impressive since. So agree red re the redistribution, bodies are ever changing I think.

Teenage girls are gorgeous I think whatever, its the youth. Portia your DD1 is dropdead (as you know). Healthy eating habits are good at any stage so she certainly wont do herself any harm. You are a nice mum indeed love hearing about you and your DDs - I aspire to being the sort of mum you sound.

Have fun in London Ny I am sure you will.

Love the bed Red I have similar for DD1 but adult version (Hemnes or something?) hope you are feeling marginally better.
Well done to all the clever tots mastering new and exciting toilet habits Grin

girlsofsummer · 02/08/2012 18:47

LIke the sound of the lipstick Rufus I use Double Wear at moment which is pretty good.

blossoming · 02/08/2012 18:48

Have bowed to your collective wisdom and purchased the blue bag.
Any good apps to recommend for DS almost 8 and DD almost 3? So far I have Peppa's party; angry birds and scrabble. Oh and IRB Rugby laws Hmm

blossoming · 02/08/2012 18:50

What I would have done for a cleavage gos! Probably why I learnt go do make up very early on. Saw your skirt in Hobbs. Was wearing a maxi so didn't try on if that makes sense. Very nice.

girlsofsummer · 02/08/2012 18:55

YEs am very pleased with it. Wore my green bow belt from Hobbs today with old black Reiss dress.

girlsofsummer · 02/08/2012 18:56

Its funny the skirt is so dull really but so nice on. I do quite like Hobbs, the size 10 usually fits me well.

MarshaBrady · 02/08/2012 19:12

Had a day (washing machine delayed again).

But am Out in sunshine with eastern standard, indigo skinnies, pale blue loose knit and V Bruno heels. Finally! Grin

GoS bet you look ace in the Hobbs.

Dona was it the big day today, how was it?

Bloss I was very skinny when young but happy in 20s.

Ok best go, dh back.

DonaAna · 02/08/2012 20:09

Marsha fingers crossed washing machine arrives soon!
Photoshoot tomorrow. Will wear DvF top and MiH skinnies unless rainy.
New highlights in, look 10 years younger, subtle ombre effect, hair slightly too short, was distracted b/c hairdresser's sister dying of cancer :(

MiM my mother suggest Museum of Russian Art near Church on Blood in St P - her favorite museum anywhere.

Vogue (Aug) v inspiring, pinned the highlights, lots of inspiration for classics. I shouldn't bother with other mags really.

A busy day. Allowed DH to go to pub, tempted to open a bottle of champagne.

DonaAna · 02/08/2012 20:19

Sorry meant Red not MiM - your Russian names confuse me ;)
