I only knew about it thanks to an update you did on a FB a while back emo, so it is thanks to you! It was my shopping/hair morning so DH took them on his own. Photos were great!

You'll be great hopefully.

alwaysrunninginheels · 30/07/2012 11:30

ny that hotel chain looks a good option. SE i wish hotel offered more options too. We have struggled to find anywhere that offers 3 kids space. Surely there should be more choice!

Hope it goes well hopefully

Has anyone seen recently a cotton white blouse/shirt(might be called grandad shirt/poplin) that only buttons at the top bit, but has a collar, has a curved hip length hem and is slightly loose but not baggy(not that i am being specific Grin) but i had 2 from gap, they are were years old and the first one has had to be binned as eventually fell apart. Now the other is going the same way and i cannot find a replacement that isn't a)polyester/horrid fibre b)too long
Its my complete pull on in the dark, rescue me top.....and there is mild panic that the next time i take it out the washing machine it will have completely fallen apart. Basically like this but white Help!

AntPants1 · 30/07/2012 12:48

hopefully just popped into Reiss. Some great autumn colours......

ReineDeSaba · 30/07/2012 13:13

Have a wonderful time hopefully ..will be amazing!

ants hope the commute back was painless..DH says it was suprisingly painless this morning.

Have spent the morning ironing clothes ready for holiday in a fit of overexcitement..have succesfully tested your method for pinning (removed picture after test as unironed dress!) bloss ..thanks for the hand hold!

mim how is the 'cook in boots' cookbook?looks intersting and I'm always in the market for a new cookbook.

every our DDs have expensive taste when it comes to food.

not very s and b but does anyone have any good suggestions for a good small fridge buy(as an extra to 'house' fridge),thanks.

Am amazed by how rubbish my capacity for alchohol is..I ended up going in to tearfull DD2 last night and waking up fully dressed this morning Blush

Have some work to do but hopefully back later.(famous last words!)

MidnightinMoscow · 30/07/2012 13:21

Not that inspiring Reine, bought it cheaply from The Book People. What are you after, and let me see if I can think of something for you!

Great looking hotel NY, glad you had a good time.

Loads of brick dust coming through the fireplace, the house is filthy. Going to to have to retreat to the park for a few hours before a massive clear up operation tonight. Looking forward to the results, but my goodness living in the house while major building work is going on is no fun.

Strangest thing: the Boden houlihans arrived already, and are very good indeed. Can't remember when I last wore anything that reached my navel though! Hold me in well. Look great with the navy/rust jigsaw stripe vest. Can I justify keeping them? They don't go with the jumper I wanted them for. Regret not getting proper houlihans now though when they were in.

OllieinOrange · 30/07/2012 16:08

Buy a new jumper to go with them Bloss?
When it comes to trousers and me, I say if you find some that fit and look good, keep and build outfits round them.

Im itching to have a big wardrobe clear out, Being on holiday and wearing a 'capsule' collection has inspired me to get rid. I liked everything I took which cannot be said of the contents of my entire wardrobe. Of course it helps when its hot and you just need a few items but Im really going to be ruthless about what I keep.
Ok, semi ruthless.

OllieinOrange · 30/07/2012 16:27

Just as my love of stars was on the wane, I saw this jumper

blossoming · 30/07/2012 16:34

Ruthless? I sense a new board coming up...!

OllieinOrange · 30/07/2012 16:35

Thoughts on this Warehouse sequin top as well please here

blossoming · 30/07/2012 16:35

And if anyone wants anything, let me know!

blossoming · 30/07/2012 16:38

Sequins are a bit dramatic ollie

OllieinOrange · 30/07/2012 16:38

Great, great idea Bloss.

OllieinOrange · 30/07/2012 16:42

Ignore sequin top - have decided I would like an extra from Blake 7 in it showing my age now

OllieinOrange · 30/07/2012 16:51

alwaysrunninginheels I feel your pain re your shirts. I have a similar dilema

Would this H&M one be a good low cost replacement?

here

MidnightinMoscow · 30/07/2012 16:51

What colour did you go for in the Boden trousers Bloss? Are there any decent codes about? I am considering the lace top for Friday night drinks with some friends.

Sounds like a good plan, re the wardrobe ollie.

Had to get into Space NK today for some primer - staff were wonderful at entertaining DS while I had a quick look round. I love that shop, it's like a little oasis of beautiful things - especially given the hideousness of our house at the moment.

blossoming · 30/07/2012 17:06

Dark navy mim. I really don't know what to do? Keep them and buy a grey oversized jumper and get rid of the red and blue Breton which I cannot get to look cool whatever I try?

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/07/2012 17:26

Bloss - do you wear white jeans? Because they could work with the breton?

rufus101 · 30/07/2012 17:28

I say keep the trousers Bloss. IMO good trousers are hard to find and I snap them up whenever I find then.
You know they look good and it will be easy to find grey over sized sweater. If you can't make the other stripe top look good at this stage, it's unlikely that will change.
I like that sequin top Ollie (fellow magpie here)

OllieinOrange · 30/07/2012 17:56

Really enjoying the Daily Telegraph's Olympic Fashion column

here

FritziGreenEyes · 30/07/2012 18:15

bloss Keep trousers, get rid of Breton.

blossoming · 30/07/2012 18:19

Great link ollie
No I don't mrscb. I am mainly in black denim. Some dark navy works with my blacks, the jumper in question doesn't.
I think you're right: keep the trousers and find a grey jumper from the wardrobe to try.

Hopefully · 30/07/2012 18:27

Bloss definitely keep the trousers. Ditch the jumper.

Ollie wardrobe clear outs are wonderful. I love my capsule wardrobe Smile, the whole being able to get dressed without over-thinking it is marvellous.

First day wonderful Grin. So much info. Was great to also clear up a couple of questions about my clothing personality while there too.

Ants thanks, will have a look.

notyummy · 30/07/2012 19:27

I have literally just nearly had a heart attack watching the men's gymastics. Go Team GB. Awesome.
