I like the idea of stripes, but only quite bold ones look good on me.

I have never had major food issues at all, but I have been one of those on/off dieters since I was about 14, so am very aware of diet, iykwim. What has helped me a lot is really getting into exercise - it has forced me to think about foods which nurture my body rather than which foods have the fewest calories. Am finding nutrition all rather fascinating at the moment.

Dona I did the myers briggs, but I can't remember what it came out as. I remember when i did it that I was in between on so many answers. My colours are on the cusp of two seasons and my style is on the cusp of two 'types', so it makes perfect sense to me that my personality is on the cusp of two Myers-Briggs types as well. Split personality disorder?!

Will find time to listen to that Briffa talk, thanks SE. Am assuming I can just have it on the background and not watch him, so can cut fabric and listen later!

I need to wash my hair, but it is such a PITA doing it with one foot out of the bath. Batiste spray all the way, and I'll face it tomorrow, I think Grin [slattern]

I will try on the McQ once DS1 is at nursery. His last week there next week! Can't believe after all the settling in effort we're taking him out to move house, seems very selfish.

MIM toe was bleeding a bit yesterday when I tried to walk too much, but I think it has properly closed now. so dull, I feel totally trapped by this piddly little 1/2" wound!

MidnightinMoscow · 11/07/2012 08:18

Oh, and some advice needed. My J Brand red skinnies from the Matches sale bag terribly. I am very disappointed. Do you think it's worth contacting them?

DonaAna · 11/07/2012 08:39

Just a brief explanation of Myers-Briggs before I go out - when you get your four letters, google "XXXX wiki" and the first hit will include a good explanation and a handle for your type. I'm a Fieldmarshal... Do you now see why I really struggle with dainty and muted Summer colors and cutesy florals Grin

Hopefully take it easy with your foot! I'm between ENTJ and ESTJ and Spring and Summer - it allows me to go cherry picking for the best in both Grin

Realized my biggest style influence is my mummy - she constantly took me outlet shopping and thrifting when it was not trendy (when I was three!) and she is the master of cheap and chic classic style in bold colors.

MiM definitely contact Matches and complain. I considered them too but with my stork legs anything cropped is absolutely forbidden...

I like Balenciaga bags a lot.

Just parked in Chester. Wanted to say, great result with My-W blue. Great assist decam!
And red, have been thinking a lot about you and well done on taking the first step.
Also there is some fantastic motivational stuff on the fitness boards on Pin. Great stuff.
Shops beckon...

MarshaBrady · 11/07/2012 09:31

Me too Dona. Although it was good ingredients and good colour (which the French knew how to do- not surprising half French mother). And feeling free to think about how things look.

SE I've been doing that type of eating for two years now. With a few holiday lapses I really like it and never feel like I am dieting. I like it reminds me of being younger and not thinking about food except to enjoy it.

DonaAna · 11/07/2012 09:42

SE were you looking for a blazer + more expensive one www.theoutnet.com/product/291017

DonaAna · 11/07/2012 09:43

Whoops sorry meant this.

Hopefully · 11/07/2012 09:55

Having just done the Myers-Briggs again, I come out as ENTJ, but only 1% towards E, 12% towards N, 1% towards T and, ahem, 67% towards J. So basically the only one that is definitive is the J Grin

DonaAna · 11/07/2012 10:02

Hopefully that means 67% Mrs T Grin Wanna go handbag shopping? I'll buy, you'll judge Wink

I think I love this but I'm not sure...do I love the concept more than the reality?! Is it wearable? My finger is hovering over the buy button-what do you think?

(Without the matching dress by the way. Am thinking it would look good with a skinny belt too.)

Kaloobear · 11/07/2012 11:09

coat sorry, forgot to convert links.

darknessvisible · 11/07/2012 11:24

Hi all, I'm an avid lurker and I'm raising my head above the parapet to say hello. I've started following some of you on pinterest (my initials are RC) and I'm hoping to pluck up the courage to post here properly. I'm heading (once more) for the joys of maternity wear, btw Smile

FritziGreenEyes · 11/07/2012 11:35

Just lost a long post due to erratic internet connection... So just a quick hello from the Austrian Alps!

MBTI kept me entertained while lounging by the pool. Had done the test many years ago and I'm still INFJ. With F dominant (88), I secondary (67), then J (17) and N (12).

Hopefully · 11/07/2012 11:54

Grin SE at huge judgey pants. I'm sure I don't know what you mean. Ahem.

Kaloo if it fits in with your wardrobe, it's probably perfect. Very pretty, would need something not-too-harsh to wear with it. Would be awful on me.

Have just managed to get laundry in approximately 14 seconds before a massive downpour. Win.

Russianred · 11/07/2012 11:57

I am ESFJ, whatever that means! Shall read up later.

Am very proud of DH - he went back to the GP, in spite of being terrified and had a much better experience, much along Dona and NSG's lines of thought. So thank you very much ladies. Have got the smallest of glimpses of the 'old' him in the last day or so and feel terrible for how far he has had to get before I realised and intervened.

Blue and MiM tell me more about the Whistles skinnies and their fit please! What might they be comparable to? After my coated experience, I should probably leave well alone, but they're soooo lovely.

OllieinOrange · 11/07/2012 12:33

Red Ive come out as the same as you - an ESFJ with J being 78% and F being 62%. Interesting.

Just wasted 30 mins looking at the new Next A/W stuff - don't bother - but did see the new W&A 2012 signature knit here Smile

MidnightinMoscow · 11/07/2012 12:43

I think you'd like them Red. They are pretty skinny, and slightly cropped. I went for a 28, and I am normally a 28-29 depending on style. I will be wearing them on Saturday for DH's birthday, so will take a pic if you would like a real life idea of them, rather than the odd Whistles models.

Have had my MBT done many times, always come out as a ESFP - very true as I hate detail, and find it very hard to focus. I literally cannot read a long paragraph at times, my mind just wanders. It always makes me smile when it says that ESFP's can talk their way in/out of anything...

I have just tried a new tactic with DS. Went for a walk into the town, took his backpack reins off and let him walk alone. Had a few incidents where I had to grab him, and the consequence was to go straight in the buggy. However, he did respond well to being trusted a little bit more.

Have just noticed we have a Rigby and Peller opening soon here.

Fritzi hope you are having a good time.

Hello and welcome to darkness Smile Am shocked about your AH news on Pin.

AmberNectarine · 11/07/2012 12:47

ISFP, which is pretty spot on for me. Apparently I have this in common with Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson and Princess Diana.

Thank you for your kind comments. To be honest I am so used to my strange ways they seem normal to me, and I am not that motivated to change. It is DH who finds it the hardest to live with. I have seen many professionals in the past, but to no avail. I think one really has to want to change before anything like that takes effect.

I imagine there will be every personality type on this thread and much in between!

MidnightinMoscow · 11/07/2012 12:48

Oh, popped into Topshop yesterday. Saw this dress and thought of you Red, would look good with opaques too. Also, saw this blouse and thought of MrsCB although it's polyester.

OllieinOrange · 11/07/2012 12:56

What is it about turning 40 and becoming a magpie? I seem to be drawn to all things sequin since the big 40 and actually said ooohhhh when I saw these shoes here.
Hit me over the head if they are naff.

DonaAna · 11/07/2012 12:56

Did some for work for a change (will need a personality transplant if I don't - can you imagine a Fieldmarshal not working?) so a very quick post-lunch
