Brilliant ny! That would have had me in stitches.

alwaysrunninginheels · 23/07/2012 18:58

Style ladies I have just received a wrap catalogue. Now I like some of the stuff but the colours and styles would look awful on my. Why? What season and style is wrap??? In general???

blossoming · 23/07/2012 19:33

I think it's Spring or Summer always, and 'natural' and 'romantic'. Is your DS' eye still closed?

Portia4 · 23/07/2012 19:36

Evening All!

NY your DD has made me chuckle!

Sorry Mim can't help, I've had 2 implants inserted and both remain in my arm as I'm too squeamish to have them removed!

Belated happy birthday Marsha!

I fall into category 3 in the workforce, self-employed never switch off, drives my family mad.

By the way the new formulation 12 week blow dry that I had 4 weeks ago has been a real success , it's as good as the original one, my 50 heads of hair look permanently groomed which makes such a pleasant change!

Ollie this is meant for you!

blossoming · 23/07/2012 20:05

Owls are massive for next year!

blue2711 · 23/07/2012 20:08

Hello looby, lovely to hear from you. I too take it day by day and I only have two!
Love your DD ny!

Ooh this weather is glorious. Spent all day playing in garden. DS has a deep love of running around naked and urged me to do the same; needless to say I resisted...

Wore a very 'me' outfit for quick visit to friend's: a very classic navy and white sleeveless aquascutum dress with leopard Gigis, neon pink pedi and big glam sunglasses. I know I am probably a Classic but I do like a glam edge!

On which subject, the Zara pink boots have arrived and it's love. They're perfect fit and height for me and I'm really looking forward to wearing them (with otherwise very simple cand classic outfits).

Hope you're all having lovely evenings. DH and I just had supper in the garden. Long may this weather last!

alwaysrunninginheels · 23/07/2012 20:32

Brilliant blue I was wondering if they had and were they as lovely in real life??? Can't wait for mine to arrive now!

MidnightinMoscow · 23/07/2012 20:38

Thanks for all the advice and info everyone. Sounds like a couple of pain killers before I go are a good plan. I thought about the implant too Portia, but the GP didn't seem so keen.

Lovely to hear from you Looby, sounds like you are doing an amazing job. Hope things settle soon for you a bit.

NY that is so funny - very creative thinking from your DD! I'll have to have a look in our local Wether's.

Always, sounds like DS is being well investigated. Does he still have the symptoms, i.e the drooped eye?

AmberNectarine · 23/07/2012 20:45

We didn't make the torch in the end, DD has a long nap, so we just went down to the park where they had laid on a little event. DS ran riot, DH chased him and DD romped in the shade while I sunbathed. Blissful day. So far our staycation is getting the thumbs up from me (might not be of we weren't going away in 6 weeks or if it were raining). Wore VL most of the day (which is great btw red, top slightly double-booby but I'm hoping it will fit when I stop bf) before changing into Kew denim mini, Maje leopard head top and rose gold Sam Edelmans.

No advice on coil as am still flying by the seat of my pants as regards contraception Blush must, must, must sort Drs appt!

red Well done your DH, order is restored.

bloss glad DS on mend, loved toucan scarf outfit on pinterest.

always hope you get some answer soon.

looby hello! Hope it's not too tough. I think you're a hero, I feel like I'm chasing my tail with two most of the time.

Hopefully · 23/07/2012 20:50

Always I'm glad that the doctors are being so thorough, although it must be horrible not having answers right way. Hugs to you all.

Suspect that Shred and run this morning did not entirely offset the excess of party food consumed at small person's party today. Whoops.

Have ordered the uniqlo merino round neck, will be a good budget option to see if I like the look I have in my head.

Am completely flapping (while remaining slightly in denial) about the complete lack of clothes I have to wear for two weeks of training (which starts next week) - dress code requires business/smart casual throughout. I own one jacket, one pencil skirt, a couple of dresses and that's it. And can't find a single thing that is appropriate. Arghhhhhhhhh.

alwaysrunninginheels · 23/07/2012 20:55

amber flying by the seat of your pants.....he he heWink That's how my nurse got no3!!!!

Thanks for the good wishes for DS. He still can't open his eye but is so remarkably cheerful. The resilience of children eh!

MangawhaiHeads · 23/07/2012 21:10

Hello all
Think I am following a few of you on pinterest, such gorgeous pics. Just when I was dreaming of the A/W collections summer has arrived again. Bliss. Ran downtown this morning and got a couple of sundresses in Gap then home while DD played in the paddling pool. The Olympic torch passed the end of our road so we had a peek and them went to a party in local park. V sweet and such an amazing day.
Any avid eBay fans here? Have a few bits that I really want to pass on do thinking I might test the waters. One a DKNY bag and the other a DVF top which I imagine someone, somewhere, may want!

AmberNectarine · 23/07/2012 21:29

Mangawhai whereabouts are you? You must be pretty near me if you were on the torch route today?

MangawhaiHeads · 23/07/2012 21:34

AmberNectarine, we are in Wimbledon.

AmberNectarine · 23/07/2012 21:37

Ah, same here. Were you at South Park Gardens today?

MangawhaiHeads · 23/07/2012 21:53

Yes! Small world. We were there from around 5 till about 6.30, spent most of our time at the inflatable slide. I love it there, perfect for DD scooting and me chilling on a bench ;-)

AmberNectarine · 23/07/2012 21:57

We would have overlapped. We were also lurking near the slide but DS (2.6) didn't pluck up the courage to attempt it. He did scoot round a lot though, wore a hole in his sock from scooting without shoes! Small world indeed.

MangawhaiHeads · 23/07/2012 22:02

It is such a gorgeous spot isn't it? My next purchase has got to be a house on Dudley Road!

DD queued over and over for the slide. Very endearing.

Hopefully · 23/07/2012 22:29

Not that it's going to help my work wardrobe much, but after a reasonably good (income-wise) weekend I have ordered the Drome leather leggings. They have to be absolutely perfect - I need something that expensive to last a good decade or so! Of course, if they're awful, it will as much of a wrench sending back the Matches box and the leggings Grin.

Where the heck else can I look for a blazer? I'm sure I've tried all the usual suspects. I want it to be red, teal, petrol, forest green, mustard, gold, bronze, chocolate brown... any autumn colour really! All blazers at the moment are too classic and/or romantic in shape. Grrrr.

MarshaBrady · 23/07/2012 22:43

Well done to Red's dh.

Looby hello! well done on coping so well with four. Amazing stuff.

NY how funny! That would really make me laugh too.

Thanks Portia, MiM! great news on the blow dry.

Blue good work with the pink boots. I love the sound of the Aquascutum white dress.

Manga, Amber sounds lovely.

Now Hopefully am most impressed with your order. I love that entire outfit and shall be eagerly waiting for your feedback Grin
