We had New Look Tall, Dorothy Perkins Tall and now we don't! Ok we have Top Shop Tall still, but only if you travel for miles to a big store and are a teenager! And Long Tall Sally? again you have to travel and it is expensive and most of it a bit "old" for me (43).

Don't get me started on shoes......size 10.....

I know we can shop online, but most of it gets sent back and that costs more! I would just like to be able to buy some size 12 jeans in a 36" inside leg without having to travel 60 miles to Birmingham. Ok, winge over....any suggestions? Is there a long leg in any high street shops that I've missed??

This is where I belong! I'm 5'8 and have size 9 UK feet. I know it's no that tall but I'm all leg and have sadly gotten used to wearing short jeans (go uggs, jeans tucked inn!) or in summer the shorts are obscenely short! But my biggest moan, trainers! I want womens (not mens, my feet aren't that wide and the colours are gross) running trainers! You can get them in the States and NZ where my feet size is common, this is a nation of tiny feeted ladies! (or so it feels)
Man I've gotten bitter about this all Blush

mumandtwo · 07/06/2012 12:35

harrogatemum, just seen your photo! can't quite believe that Primark jeans fit your 36" legs!! I'm defo going there in the next few days to have a look! Do they have many jeans that they class as "long" is it only a few lines?

mmmmchocolate, I will check out VERY and have a look, great to find out about all these different places I'd never thought of....keep it going everyone!!!

btw, how do you do "bold" on here, it doesn't seem to work 4 me!

KnittingNovice · 07/06/2012 13:28

I am 6foot, size 8 feet with 36' inside leg and am currently sitting here in a pair of sainsburys long length skinnies which are long enough. Interesting about primark as I never think of looking for me in there. The only 2 pairs of maternity trousers I got I had to get from eBay as no where could I find them.

Northumberlandlass · 07/06/2012 13:40

Mumandtwo its not "bold" its * bold

HarrogateMum · 07/06/2012 16:52

Think all their jeans come in long length! Just not many of them on the rails to find.....

PropertyNightmare · 07/06/2012 17:07

I would second Zara, trousers are long as standard.

PropertyNightmare · 07/06/2012 17:08

My 34 inch legs are too long for Primark. I am gutted at missing out on the bargains.

HarrogateMum · 07/06/2012 17:38

Property have you tried them on? I am 36 inch inside leg, look on profile pic!!!!

mumandtwo · 07/06/2012 18:29

mumandtwo yep really, I had been wanting fuchsia pink skinnies, but couldn't afford lts, so when I got the all clear from cancer ( a long story) I went and treated myself, and got a size 16, which was a pleasant surprise too!!

marzipananimal · 07/06/2012 19:57

I have average length legs but a tall body and find it really hard to find jumpers/cardigans that are long enough. Most tall ranges seem to be mainly trousers (and very limited and crap too!)

mumandtwo · 10/06/2012 12:05

knittingnovice fuschia pink skinnies!!!! sound lush, I'm going to look today! glad to hear you got the all-clear :)

Someone mentioned very
I got a few tops from little woods the same range
As I'm not really tall I find it's tops not trousers I really struggle with

I agree about all the tall people though
I used to tower over all the other girls now I'm one of many (problem is I still have gawky mentality)

bronze · 10/06/2012 12:19

Oh maxi skirt and dress shop ideas please

HarrogateMum · 12/06/2012 10:35

Maxi dresses Next Tall, also try Monsoon, I have one from there that is a good length on me and it's meant for "normal" people!

GeorgieSwallow · 12/06/2012 11:08

I completely know how you feel mumandtwo- its so tough to find tall clothes

forevermore · 14/06/2012 05:16

Barefootess. I get my shoes here - so much choice up to shor size 14!. I am size 11 and 6' tall. Unlike many, I LOVE being tall. I like 4 inch heels on a night out and short skirts with tights. Jeans and chinos by day. (I am 36 years old and size 14/16). Long tall Sally too old. Tall girls too cheap. Next too frumpy. I have 36 inche legs and all TALL trousers too short. But somehow I have a full wardrobeGrin yearly trips to the states has always been my thing (I stopped growing aged 12). I stock up and go mad and buy very little here. The beauty of being tall is you can create your own look. Not follow fashion as fashion doesn't cater for you anyway. I can have on the same dress as a shorter friend and it look completely different on me which I think is fabWink.

P.S Evans shoes are too wide (long feet doesn't mean fat feet).

P.s.s pet hate on forums about tall women is 5'8 (i call average) women moaning about too short trousers........are u for realGrin

Graciescotland · 14/06/2012 05:22

HerRoyaleHoighness I've just moved to oz, where would you recommend for tallies especially maternity wear?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 14/06/2012 07:17

There was loads of tall stuff in Dorothy Perkins the other day. I lifted a lovely pair of trousers not realising (am 5'5"!!)

Just for you forever I'll moan about being 5ft 8in and struggling to find trousers or a dress that is long enough - I tried on about 100 dresses in the spring - none fitted so I gave up - if they are too short they are too short - doesn't matter by how much they still don't fit. And the tall ranges are usually made for people who are much taller so they swamp me. Clothes not fitting is bloody annoying no matter what size you are!

fallingandlaughing · 15/06/2012 23:08

I am about 6'1", 36" leg.

Moschino skinny jeans in TKMaxx (GOLD label section) are a good length. Got an amazingly long pair of print trousers from M&S Autograph the other day.

Lived in 2 pairs of Maternatall trousers when I was pregnant.

I really wish there were more long tops around though... too hard trying to make low slung trousers and too short tops stretch across my saggy midriff.

gemstarmum · 24/10/2012 22:35

after much deliberatling I ordered some jeans from tall maternity store for my friend Jo tonight who has 36 inch pins! The OWNER even rang me to check the sizing and tell me the order woule be sent out tomorrow morning, how canny is that! I wouldnt expect that from the huge retailers! Will post some feedback when they arrive (jo's feedback) x

Littlepumpkinpie · 24/10/2012 23:07

Someone said all the Petitte ranges are still there LOL they vanished a long time ago. I am tiny and a size 8 childrens clothes are NOT cut for women who have got womanly hips pre children yes I could wear teans clothing but JESUS who wants to wear 99% of what teans wear no thankyou.

BadRoly · 24/10/2012 23:12

I'm not exceptionally tall at 5ft10 but I Di have big feet (size 9/10) and am fat - size 20 on a good day. It seems I can either be tall or fat but not both together. I used to look longingly at the New Look tall range Envy
