Well in the summer I go for a cami top or maybe a t-shirt and boyshorts, sometimes an xxl tshirt as a kind of substitute nightie. In the winter I like my warm comfy pjs and yep even socks if it's really freeeezing. Hey my feet get cold! Though I do like my pjs baggy, can't stand really fitted pjs, so I tend to go for the 'old man' style- sexy (not) I know. On a rare occasion I have worn a nightdress but they are not very flattering and they bunch up...

My dh always sleeps totally naked, I wouldnt want it any other way.

Pandsbear · 11/05/2012 21:37

What kind of houses do you all live in?! It is freezing in our Victorian terrace and I need my fleecy pjs most of the year! DH wears boxers and T-shirts in the winter...and some socks...Do you not get cold?

DairyNips · 11/05/2012 22:09

2 bed semi, quite a warm house really and heating very efficient. Having said that we don't have the heating on at night!

blueshoes · 11/05/2012 23:11

Dh naked. I am fully clothed, whatever the weather.

babyshoplady · 11/05/2012 23:23

Dh usually naked, but sometimes boxers or 'bedtime pants' (long sleeved cartoon print pj bottoms - transformers, sonic or family guy are the options!) he never wears a top.
I am always sooo cold so I usually wear long legged long sleeved PJS and wooly socks with the pj legs tucked into the socks and the top tucked into the bottoms currently rocking a fleecy snowflake print onesie!
I'm dead sexy, me Grin

DH is goes from nude to boxers and t-shirt if it's really cold.

I wear either nothing or a vest/t-shirt and shorts I'd it's cold.

I can't abide anything flappy though as it's bloody irritating and the thought of wearing socks in bed freaks me out, I can barely tolerate them during the day.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 14/05/2012 10:21

Pandsbear, we live in a Victorian terrace too and we don't keep a massively warm house. The secret is good warm duvets and an extra layer on the bed in cold weather.

Boyonce, I've tried wearing socks in bed but always wake myself up taking them off in the night. Hmm

WaitingForMe · 14/05/2012 11:06

We both sleep naked. DH used to wear pyjamas but just wrestled them off him each time. I demand my skin access Grin

TeiTetua · 14/05/2012 13:54

Both bare naked here, though socks in winter are appreciated, to reduce the impact of ice feet. I don't get the necessity of sleeping in clothes when visiting others/being visited--surely you're given a room to yourself then?

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 14/05/2012 14:10

It's for nipping to the loo/kitchen etc in the night, or being able to lounge about in your PJs in the morning, that kind of thing. DP and I refer to our 'around bed' clothes when we're going to stay with someone: 'What are you taking to wear around bed?' Grin

That's what I thought... though my poor man had a traumatic time when we last visited my sister. Our 3 year old niece burst in at about 8am on a Sunday morning and jumped on the bed asking when were we getting up, as kids do. As I was in my usual jammies I didn't think anything of it until I realised that my poor dh was gripping on to the top of the duvet so hard his knuckles were white! My man is an army PT instructor and has faced all sorts of terrors, but he was helpless against the awesome might of a 3 year old tot!! :o Wink

I had to get up and ever so gently guide her out of the room whilst my man sorted himself out with some shorts! Blush Grin

Sorry to revive this thread but I'm looking for your views. My mother is having my niece and nephew (twins, 15) to stay and she likes putting out new nightwear/pjs for visitors. She's got this in mind for the boy:

I'm like... ummm... not sure... should I just tell her to go for it??

latebreakfast · 10/06/2012 20:57

this might be a safer bet

Leeane · 12/06/2012 21:45

Thats what I thought, thanks for confirming! Those other pjs are very old-mannish. Her hearts in the right place and I don't want to put her off, but I wasn't keen!
