You have exciting plans, mrsCB. I'm sure you could be fantastic at it. Are you planning to be self employed or to get some experience in a department store or somewhere similar first? How does one find people to style, I wonder. I quite often find myself wanting to style my friends/ colleagues but I would never say anything as they are generally the type of people for who clothes/ fashion, etc just aren't a priority.
By the way, I loved those Autograph sandals in magenta (stunning colour) that you linked to on another thread the other day. I am absolutely not buying at the moment but am looking forward to possibly buying something similarly glamorous for my sister's wedding in October. I have a couple of potential dress options (new Me and Em ? glam enough) and a gorgeous VW Anglomania in a bright pink. Will be asking for advice later, no doubt.
everything- can see what your nanny is finding mat clothes tough as she is so petite. In my experience, they tend to be large to size. TS the best I can think of. Perhaps she could just try a size or two up in normal jeans with a bump band or dresses over leggings.
MIM- birth debriefing sounds like such a sensible plan and v therapeutic too, no doubt. It sounds as if quite a few others here had v traumatic experiences. I was talking to a friend whom I haven't seen for a while at a medical conference today. She has a DD, nearly 1 and opted for an elective CS (she was always adamant that this was what she wanted). I mentioned that I was considering this and she said 'it's the only way' with a totally straight face which made me laugh! I had three straight forward SVDs and I am starting to feel that I have been too lucky so far if that makes any sense. Add to that the relaxed, planned nature of a CS and the fact that I can get sterilised at the same time and it seems v tempting!
ollie- gorgeous DVF the other day. I agree with reine- I want the blue although all the colour ways are lovely.
decameron- gorgeous Goat cardigan. You must be v stylish because if looks far too smart for me to ever wear!
bonsoir- your reference to Liberty print the other day reminded me of some gorgeous Liberty print shorts that I saw at a French boutique in S/pore (can't remember the name). I have always loved Liberty prints and they were gorgeous. However, DD2 was in a strop and didn't want to try them and DH baulked at the price so we had to leave them :( I have ordered all in one waterproofs for her which I feel she may get more use out of)!
fritzi- you sound like a lovely sister. I completely agree with the others that it is harder to recover/ spring back to shape the more DC you have. I popped back with no effort at all post DD1 and was wearing cropped tops and high jeans. I would definitely not do that any more post three! I'm sure she would really appreciate any practical support. How about a bit of shopping/ home cooking. Your mum should be ignored as her views are irrelevant unless she is intending to provide the support herself.
apuski- huge congratulations on the job. You must have really impressed them!
blue- quick question for you. I was thinking of re-ordering the asks aggies in the grey. Do you have a discount code? I think you mentioned 25% off or something down thread.
bloss- lovely cashmere jumper!
Hello and welcome to donna!
