Hi all!

Sorry about the rain/hairdo situation Hopefully.

I am eating G and Bs Mint dark choc as I write Verity.

Bloody cold here. And wet.

Although I usually not a big fan, I really liked Heidi's outfit. Lace dress and beachy hair looked great and not to overdone I think. Maybe the black nail polish was a bit too much.

Very bad choice of dress for GwyPal though Hmm

FritziGreenEyes · 08/05/2012 13:35

...too ...

notyummy · 08/05/2012 13:36

Yes, Hopefully - she has got a great body. Not thin, but toned. DH's eyes were out on stalks watching the film Hmm.

Gynnies dress getting some love in the fashion press. It does showcase her amazing body but I think she would have looked better in something else. She doesn't suit being a red head. Not looking good as Miss Pepper Potts in the Avengers because of the hair colour IMHO. Great legs though! And no shoes throughout in her scenes. DH and I reckoned Robert Downey Jr had a diva strop about her being too tall in heels and insisted that she was bare foot!

Goodness Rachel Zoe is awful. Havegot say, not sure about any of the looks there - everyone's dresses are wearing them iykwim.

Decam surely you can mention the job again in the hope that the offer of Pistols crops up once more Wink.

NY the story made me laugh too! Hope the meh-ness of this morning is lifting.

Had an interesting morning with the DC participating in some research for a new Aardman production - they filmed us watching it, played games afterwards and then had a snack and presents. DS desperate to go back!

OllieinOrange · 08/05/2012 13:39

Loved Gwyneth Paltrow's dress - and legs.
Emily Blunt looked good in the neon dress too.
Much nicer dresses than this years Oscar's imo.

Talking of neon - the Next sandals have arrived. Nice but the neon is just too bright - and not the coral coloured I thought they would be so back they go. Would love to keep but they go with nothing in my summer wardobe - plus I have horrible shaped feet and feel the neon would just draw attention to them!

notyummy · 08/05/2012 13:44

I know it is astoundingly obvious, but Rachel Zoe just looks like she needs a few square meals. Her face does not look healthy and fresh - just gaunt. I am not one of these people that thinks everyone needs 'womanly curves' and should be a certain size, as people come in all shapes and sizes, but I really don't think she looks good.

I really like Gwynnie's but a bit longer at the front. Not a fan of the hemline.

Emma Bosworth looks good.

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2012 13:47

Should be Kate shouldn't it Confused

Dauphin · 08/05/2012 14:12

Hello.

Ooh, Donnaana...i yearn for the 2.55. Fab and very lucky indeed...

Yes, was very disappointed with selection of bags at Bicester mrscb...

Getting into my running and signed myslef up 5k fun run..it's nothing is it? Should be easy peasy ....

Just ordered some Zara strappy sandals (why?), I dunno....positive thinking, I guess. And a Jersey blazer too...

Decameron · 08/05/2012 14:22

I think that ship has sailed, Red! Sounds like a lovely morning.

I am trying not to shop at the moment so I can buy this cardigan. I may get distracted along the way.

Alwaysrunninginheels, my tip is don't run in heels. :o

The sun is finally out so we are off to the playground

Decameron · 08/05/2012 14:22

DonaAna, the Me&Em code is OCADO20 and it is valid until end of May.

Decameron · 08/05/2012 14:23

Ollie, would the sandals work when you have a tan?

FritziGreenEyes · 08/05/2012 14:48

GP's legs are great but her boobs are almost making an escape at the sides of the dress. Looks almost impossible to move in or even sit down in that dress. Sorry, still don't like it!

ollie Send the sandals back. Lots of shopping opportunities in three weeks time Wink

MrsCampbellBlack · 08/05/2012 16:32

DS1 just looked at those DM photos over my shoulder and concluded I look better [what does he want?]

But seriously has Gwynnie had a boob job because for 2 pregnancies and bf they're remarkably pert.

Am definitely going to look into personal styling/wardrobe consultation stuff - have seen some courses - just need to work out which one is best. Oh and convince DH its a valid thing to do Smile

MrsCampbellBlack · 08/05/2012 16:33

Bought this today - very sweet and nice cropped length for the petite ladies.

suburbanstyle · 08/05/2012 16:42

Ooh good for you MrsCB Smile

I met my childfree friend for coffee yesterday and she was complaining about having to get up at 6.30 today to write about Met Ball outfits for work Hmm

It's actually sunny here today, am so happy Grin. Devised a game whereby I sit in the sun and DD brings me magazines and chocolate in her little trolley. DM readers would have a field day with that.

Really like the cardigan Decameron Am after some bright pink now. Sweet Jacket Mrs CB, I tried some patterned trousers on in Warehouse earlier, am unsure....

Thanks Fleecy, NY, Red Thanks.

Noticed they are building a The Kooples in town. Has anyone got anything from there, I always like the stuff in the ads, not Pete Doherty though.

blue2711 · 08/05/2012 16:49

Very nice mrscb. I have an almost identical one from TS a few yrs back which I really like. Funnily enough, my DH would love me to do a course and turn my obsession with outfits into a career. You must go for it, I think you would be great.

I actually really like Gwyneth, probably because I knew Chris Martin at uni and he is lovely so I figure she must be nice too. And like how her style manages to be both classic and have an edge. Even when she gets it a bit wrong I still admire how she takes risks.

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2012 16:54

I like Gwynnie too. I realise this is quite unusual on mn. She gets a bum deal really.

Good one Mrscb, you should definitely go for it.

I just realised today that someone in the school playground is a really good actress. I thought her face looked familiar, I just did not figure out why.

Am looking for flights to Berlin. Am excited to be going for a weekend Grin

DonaAna · 08/05/2012 17:27

Un bacione Decameron for enabling! Love you girls.
Dauphin, I'm sure you'll get your 2.55. It's worth saving for. It has inner beauty and smells wonderful inside. (Trying to think how much I would have saved if I had bought it right away when I was 18. My DD1 eyes it very keenly. I promised that she will inherit it should she survive me ;))
MrsCB' can you tell me which mac / trench you are wearing these days? My old one is dying and I need some inspiration (very hot in Rome right now but I'm flying north for work on Sunday).

AmberNectarine · 08/05/2012 17:35

Just had friend round with 6 week old baby. Broodious maximus is the technical term for how I'm feeling. So snuggly and gorgeous. She was delivered at home in rather a hurry! And already waking only once in the night! Some people have all the luck.

Am capitalising on a bit of sun in olive houlis, Maje leopard top and stripy Demylee cardi with nude TS ballerinas.

Not sure about Gwyneth TBH. Seems a bit self congratulatory on goop.

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2012 17:36

gnnn at booking flights. So annoying!

Must say I don't look at Goop at keep exposure at a minimum. Probably helps!

MrsCampbellBlack · 08/05/2012 17:45

Dona - I'm wearing either this one or The Coach one I bought at Bicester. Old comptoir ones are off to the dress agency this week.

I do rather like Gwyeth but then I like Vicki B too Smile

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2012 17:48

Oh Vicki B is looking great. In a solemn fashionista way. I'd like her straight brows.

blue2711 · 08/05/2012 17:50

Me too, mrscb; I know they both should irritate me but I feel strangely warm towards them, unlike say, Holly Willoughbg, who I should like but just don't for no good reason.
