I would say 10 years, forgot 2 Burberry also! Just reminded me as the old check hasn't been out the house since the Daniella Westbrook extravaganza of check! I trained with a big 4 accountancy firm from 19 and spent a lot of time in London at clients (live in NE) so still lived at home (no bills to pay) and didn't exactly love the working away so every pay day there would be a Friday afternoon de tour to Harrods/sloane street on the way back to kings cross to treat myself. Since then been lucky to be in a position to keep buying but have slowed down since getting houses etc!
I'm hoping to have children to pass them on to in the future but for the moment it provides me with some enjoyment from my boring career!
Will try and start listing details! I'm currently trying to decide what to get from the fella on monday as I'm birthday girl and heading to manchester for a shopping day (not a lot of major purchasing opportunities up in my neck of the woods!)

madammecholet the Smythson Nancy is just a divine bag. Quirky, distinctive and sooo well made. I have it in 2 different colours and would probably get it in more if that wouldn't be weird! The Emily is also beautiful but the Nancy feels more special and it really jazzes up an outfit in a lovely way. And the blue boxes they arrive in is fab.

And a medium zip top shoulder bag which is in the most gorgeous shimmer fabric gold/silver almost pink mixed with a pale gold leather strap and hardware and pale pink satin lining tried to find a link and can't, was bought in Harrods about 8 years ago from a seasonal collection and it's fab for weddings needs more use really!

Ha dry that bloody Moët bar in Selfridges has a lot to answer for - to be precise it resulted in the purchase of a small gucci shoulder bag and a prada pink satin (I know wtf! Satin! Defs was the moët influence) small shoulder bag, both of which rarely never see the light of day now! Also a tonne of shitty yet expensive make up was bought as you staggered walked straight into the beauty hall after the handbags! I now never shop under the influence as a result!

Hah! I know what you mean about the champagne influence - my first foray into Tiffany's was after a verrrrry long champagne breakfast many years ago. T'was an expensive (but very satisfactory) shopping trip.

How often do you all rotate your bags? I try to change every two or three weeks or so but it's a bit of a faff unpacking and packing away.

Crazy- should you ever have a car booty or upamrket version selling your wares - I want an invite!!!

The cost of bags is going up sooo much. My Viv Westwood was the same price as some high street labels charge now and dfor thw same type of model at least one hundred quid more!

Every 2 to 3 weeks??! I try to rotate the weekday bags once a week although I have noticed I am rotating between the same 3 at the moment.

I used to do it more often but really can't be arsed now - out of box, out of dustbag, empty the stuffing and reverse.
