There is a Coach store in Westfield irrc, only two in the UK (both London) and im pretty sure they don't sell online here neither. There is an outlet in Bicester village too, but it is very expensive compared to the US - prices in the outlet are similar to retail in America.

Pied a Terre satchel/type thing (wmp)
Whistles snakeskin 'floppy bag'
Christian Dior small saddle bag
Bruno Magli eve bag
Herve Chapelier nylon bag

Plus a Moschino and a Mulberry weekend bag.

They were all bought over the last 15 years and I have got to the point where I leave bag at home as much as I can and stuff pockets with the essentials. I don't particularly like any of them and most of them look tired and 'dated' really.

Would like a small, black, Mulberry Antony (wmp), however, with the above collection having become 'old hat' I wonder if it's a waste of money? (winces as she gets booted off this thread)

My 'Lottery' bags would be 2 Chanel 2.5 's - one in lambskin and one in calfskin. For everyday and 'good'. And maybe adifferent style Chanel. Well I have won the Lottery- in my dreams

U are probably right madame. I should add that designer bags have doubled or even tripled in price since I started my collection. On my maiden voyage purchase the 'it' bag was a Gucci Jackie in canvas print (£400) or the LV Speedy '200' (think it was £290).

Mulberry bags are actually quite reasonably priced when compared to others and are very well made (I wouldn't buy a G or a P again, which is just as well as I can't afford them.....!)

drywhite it's v difficult to buy a classic but stylish bag, unless it's a (an?) Hermes? Still think a Mulberry would be your best hint bet, couldn't really go wrong in there, just tell him mention casually to stay away from spring colours (stick with tan or black).

A soon as I start thinking about my perfect bag, I need want matching purse and one in every colour.........it's probably best I go finish off the housework......
