Sorry about thread title. Hope everyone is back from holidays soon and will find us here.

amber Which JBrands did you get?

bonsoir I tried on those two tops in Cos before Easter and was tempted too. Bought a simple navy dress in Cos and shoes, which are not on the website Hmm. Will return this top. Cos is great at the moment I think.

Just been reading back. Lovely purchases as always carciofi. I think dotty p's will be bankrupt at this rate! It was the only shop alongside Monsoon where I used to live. For a hundred miles! Not joking.

ollie, you are so funny! And icey, the childminder found dd eating a creme egg the other week that she had stolen from the buggy height display by the tills in the co-op. The shame of it!

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 00:33

Amber, you are way too young to remember Band of Gold - did I miss a remake? I could vaguely remember a Bouquet of Barbed Wire from the first time 'round.

Emo, your packing inertia made me smile, hope you have a lovely trip with your family.

Bloss, nice buys!

I had no less than 4 suits delivered today from M&S and have returned them all - cheap suits...yuck! Must remember to always size down in M&S too.

Final day of the holiday here and accessing the hotel to catch up before going out to enjoy the sun for the last time - I suspect the weather at home is going to come as a bit of a shock!! Went to Universal Studios here on Sentosa yesterday and we all enjoyed it so much. Yes, it is completely manufactured fun, but definitely done with a lot more efficiency and good grace than Disneyland Paris (not sure many of the European staff there really understand the service ethos of their US and Asian counterparts as a general rule...) DD delighted to meet the cast of Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and Madagasger, and DH and I scared ourselves silly on the big rides. Very different to the farm experience in Aus, where DD went riding for the first time and we helped to bring in and drench sheep - and from the laid back cool of Noosa and bustle of Sydney. Right enough about the holiday. Suffice to say that it was amazing.

Trying to catch up but have missed loads. In no particular order:

Amber - delighted you are feeling the JM love and well done on the weight loss/toning. I am sure you look great - you too Hopefully...sounds like you are on a roll. Also hope your diet is going ok Fleecy.

Your hotel and holiday sounded lovely Bloss - sorry you didn't quite get the weather you hoped for.

Ants - hope you are enjoying your time off and good luck with the potential transformation.

Can't believe I have been missing all the DP love/codes when I was such an early DP adopter (can't resist a cheap frock Wink.) Having bought no clothes for at least a month I may indulge on my return.

Ollie - I did laugh at your blazer story and it sounds like the sort of thing I would do!

EMO - Have a great time in France.

MIM - Hope your scar is feeling better and would second the advice to get it checked.

Hope you, Icey and Blue are getting some sleep with your snuggly babies!

Bonsoir · 13/04/2012 06:16

blossoming - I'm sure Annecy must be gorgeous - DP used to go there regularly for work in a past professional life and always raved about eating lunch on a terrace overlooking the lake.

Paris is very beautiful and has gorgeous shops and food cultural attractions but the population and traffic density are very painful. I am incredibly lucky to live on a part of a street that is not a permanent traffic jam, and to be able to walk in my daily life, but many roads seem to be permanently gridlocked these days and it makes people very tense and angry.

Hopefully · 13/04/2012 06:42

Bloss it really has. They should stick with what they're great at - really basic shapes in lots of lovely colours - and abandon trying to be cool, unless they're going to have a major revamp.

Paris is probably my number one place for a weekend away - DP and I love walking through cities endlessly, and Paris is great for that - lots of people-watching and amazing sights. Plus France is about the only place where I can scrape by in a foreign language. I hate going to places where I literally don't speak a word, it seems so rude!

My huge DP order has been dispatched, although we're going away for the weekend, so probably won't get it till next week now. Boo.

Hopefully · 13/04/2012 06:43

Oh, and I am grumpy because I have just done my first run since starting that was slower than the one before, but I can't decide by exactly how much because my Map My Run app has updated and is all screwy. Random stitch throughout.

MarshaBrady · 13/04/2012 06:58

I think that's normal Hopefully. Well it is for me about three or four in I dip. It's also why I need the clear stretch of many weeks to make it really work. Will be joining in v soon!

Am at station. The look is w&a work today, acne pale pink chinos, crisp white shirt, slim blazer and black Marant heel. (Lanvins on now ). I'm channelling blonde a E Alt Grin

Nearly done, excited! Will catch up when I have.

Decameron · 13/04/2012 07:47

NY, sounds amazing. I want to do a trip like that and visit my brother when I am back at work and the DDs are older. Soak up the sun, it's another grey day here.

Fritzi, thank you for the welcome back. :)

Bonsoir, I missed your Cos tops. I am also envious of you living in Paris. I was an au pair in Orléans one summer and used to escape to my friends in Paris every weekend.

Bloss, I like waterfall cardigans too. I ignore much of MN's fashion advice. We used to go to Annecy on holidays when we were kids, it is so pretty there.

Marsha, you sound lovely today.

Hopefully, good luck with all your plans.

I've put DD1 in the holiday camp at her school this morning so heading to Westfield with my neighbour for a few hours.

Need to feed the baby her porridge, hope you all have a good day.

OllieinOrange · 13/04/2012 08:11

NY sounds like a wonderful holiday - great mix of activities. Bet DD loved it all.

If anyone is passing a White Company, would you care to act as my personal shopper - without actually having to buy anything I hasten to add? Im thinking of getting either this this slub v neck swin top or this linen sweater and given how crazy WC sizes can be, I need a rough idea of how they size up ie do they look huge on the hanger?
That would be great thank you.

Decameron · 13/04/2012 08:20

Ollie, I've made a note of the tops and will check for you this morning.

IceCreamCastles · 13/04/2012 08:30

Morning all.

You sound v chic marsha-hope you have a good day

Wow NY- sounds fantastic experience for all of you- what a lucky yoir girl dd is.

A very novel morning here- ds is still asleep and dh brought me a cup of tea and a doughnut in bed!

Can I just have a slushy moment- please feel free to ignore/throw up but just feel the need to express how besotted I am with ds. When he was born I had the fabled 'rush of love' which I didn't really have with dd(of course I adore her but it grew over time). I just can't get enough of him and am enjoying this stage far far more than I expected to.

Ok- slushy bit finished.

Have great days everyone. We are going to an 'Easter fun day' to see chicks hatching and feed lambs. Not sure who is more excited- dd or dh!

AmberNectarine · 13/04/2012 08:58

Sounds like a lovely day Icey, and lovely to hear all you ladies with new babies so happy!

pickled a school-friend's mother was starring in it at the time, otherwise it would have been before my time really.

Great joy here as DS has found his Lightning McQueen toy, after being bought a replacement, so has one in each hand and is dancing a jig round the living room.

Bathroom scales have died (undue stress?), must replace pronto!

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 09:55

Decam, make sure you check Ollie's WC stuff for seethroughness, won't you. Love that you met Rufus and got drunk had a great time, are you still house hunting in London then?

Icey, just wait 'til you have number 3 Smile. Really glad that you are enjoying it all so much, have a lovely Easter fun day.

Amber, a friend's mum, that explains it. Sorry about the seethroughness of the Gant btw, must do better next time.

NY, what a fab holiday...don't you just love it when a plan works out? Safe home!

Marsha, you do sound lovely today and with a spring in your step that comes from a job well done no doubt - congrats!

I have loved chilling out with my cherubs the latter part of this week, much TV has been watched, lots of wii played and even more Sylvanian Families played with. Have a good Friday one and all.

Hopefully · 13/04/2012 10:14

We are having a total tv day here - am knackered after a couple of weeks of DS2 being even more high needs than usual (seriously didn't think it was possible!). Poor DS1 is so patient and lies next to him when he's howling and reminds him that mummy will come back.

Am waiting for my ASOS order and hopefully an eBay purchase or two to arrive, am enjoying this latest shopping spree!

Hopefully · 13/04/2012 10:17

Icey that's so lovely! I got the rush of love thing a bit more with DS2 than DS1 (although both took time to really hit), which I put down to huge trauma with DS1's birth and v easy time with DS2.

Man, I wish DS2 would crawl! He keeps reversing and getting stuck under he sofa.

If anyone with typical English blonde hair that is prone to limpness is in the market for a new shampoo, I am totally enamoured of René Furterer Naturia - it has given my hair a whole new lease of life/bounce.

blossoming · 13/04/2012 10:47

Forgot to mention yesterday I got the perfect dark navy tee shirt - better than the vince one amber at Jigsaw. Shame they only have 2 colours, although they had grey marl and white in store too here. Would say the S was the same as a Vince M.
I am wearing it today with a navy camisole underneath, grey agnes, and my new black cashmere cardigan, and a grey scarf. Heating is off, but the sun is making the house bearable.
marsha, you sound gorgeous today. Hope it's not so cold down south.
Have a nice time shopping decam.

blossoming · 13/04/2012 10:53

Has cameron had a boob job? My obsession begins again!

Bonsoir · 13/04/2012 10:59

Oh definitely. Look at this.

blossoming · 13/04/2012 11:19

Looks amazing to me anyway!

Bonsoir · 13/04/2012 11:21

Are you thinking of having breast implants, bloss?

GeordieVik · 13/04/2012 11:29

Hi ladies, first post on s&b, I need (!) a not too expensive but decent navy blazer, quite fitted, am 5'6"and size 10-12.

Any recommendations?

Thank you!

V

blossoming · 13/04/2012 11:46

Hi geordievik, decam ordered one from Whistles yesterday: but I see it's sold out. Sorry, no help there. There should be someone along soon as there are many blazer fans on here, but have you looked at Zara and Top Shop?

bonsoir, no I don't think so. I quite like having my blouses close at the bust again, and being able to wear higher neck clothing. Me with a larger chest is me overweight!

I just love this photo here. Love the vodka bag, the shirt, the jeans.... Not really my colours but lovely all the same. Think you can tell I just came back from Europe!

blossoming · 13/04/2012 11:54

The classic town messenger by balenciaga has a cross body strap. Might still be the one! I am almost half way to affording it now.
