Sorry about thread title. Hope everyone is back from holidays soon and will find us here.

amber Which JBrands did you get?

bonsoir I tried on those two tops in Cos before Easter and was tempted too. Bought a simple navy dress in Cos and shoes, which are not on the website Hmm. Will return this top. Cos is great at the moment I think.

annie Ewwwwww!

ollie Gorgeous colours! Think Lulworth is a bit too much for our bedroom. Will pick up tester pot of Parma Blue tomorrow. Is Colin Farrell using a base coat before applying the color?

ants Hope you are having a lovely time off despite the rain.

How cute, just saw my friend's dd on that blog!

(it's raining and am potty training is my excuse for letting the children get on it with it, they are drawing. Better last!)

MarshaBrady · 23/04/2012 11:49

Fritzi I love love Cabbage White. The lightest blue there is. We have it with Wimborne White (or was it pointing?), and rich off white curtains. It reminds me of icecream.

notyummy · 23/04/2012 12:01

The Amazing Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore. For Hopefully - it is absolutely gorgeous with lots of interactive features. A real work of art and understandable award winning.

notyummy · 23/04/2012 12:03

Love the hotel link Ollie. I know the owners of i-escape well, and have holidayed with them twice at this amazing place.

ReineDeSaba · 23/04/2012 12:24

popping in to say hi to everyone..have been very busy with bits for the business.

looby where do you get your love of interiors from..I am clueless about such things..

red I have ended up doing something that was strongly suggested by friends/family..it taps into the steady hands my previous job trained me to have.retraining would be too costly for me,especially as no childcare.

ollie my dds are very 'energetic' ,though we were out for lunch yesterday and they were so well behaved,I thought we must have accidently switched children with someone else.

lovely zara dress rufus and annie

country house sounds A.M.A.Zing..please can we go out of season though as we are away for a big chunk of the Summer.

ReineDeSaba · 23/04/2012 12:26

sounds like you had a great 'day off' mrscb annoying about the tops..that will be the thread effect then.

dauphin so sorry your dad is poorly,he sounds like he is being very brave.

Hopefully · 23/04/2012 12:55

Thanks NY!

Am sat outside soft play with two sleeping children in the back of the car. Seems a shame to wake them, but we're meeting friends. Maybe I'll just enjoy the silence for a couple more minutes...

OllieinOrange · 23/04/2012 13:13

Hopefully The 3 Little Pigs app from nosy crown is also nice.

OllieinOrange · 23/04/2012 13:17

Fritzi the Lulworth Blue is looking quite dark now I can see it on a larger space - but should be ok with the v high ceilings and off white units in the kitchen (gulp). Colin says he likes it!
One wall in a bedroom would work but probably too much for the entire room?

blossoming · 23/04/2012 13:18

Popping in to wonder is it ants' colours day today?

OllieinOrange · 23/04/2012 13:18

No to base coat as he is painting over egg shell blue.

OllieinOrange · 23/04/2012 13:20

Think its tomorrow Bloss? Tuesday rings a bell.

OllieinOrange · 23/04/2012 13:27

Reine Steady hands?

Is it cake icing??? Or some sort of decorative painting?
I am dying to know, dying I tell you!

FritziGreenEyes · 23/04/2012 13:57

ollie Lulworth is gorgeous colour. We only do one wall in our bedroom but will have a charcoal headboard as well so I'm worried that the overall effect would be too dark.

reine Spill please Smile The suspense is killing me!

You see, I thought Ants was having a consultation today about going under the knife .

Ants I have been thinking about you lots today especially since I met someone who really reminds me of you - sister called Beth?

I have been at an interview for a teaching job (2 days a week, holy grail!) but fear I may have completely blown it. When faced with the question (from the Headmaster) of what I would do if I had a large sum of money and a day off, no prizes for guessing what I answered Blush.

Ollie, as if it's not enough that George Clooney hangs around at yours, v. Envy.

Reine, is your b.v. to do with kids/things for kids?

MarshaBrady · 23/04/2012 14:05

Pickled what an odd question.. Wonder what you are meant to say?

Ollie I'm sure it looks fab btw. Cabbage white is very cute in a child's bedroom but not sure about a kitchen in any case.

MarshaBrady · 23/04/2012 14:16

You'll probably get it btw hope you do!

pickledsiblings · 23/04/2012 14:23

Hmm Marsha, I'm not sure I want it. I do love teaching but I hate all the other stuff that goes with it. Another interview in a week or so for a 1.5 day/week job that I would much prefer. DH doesn't understand why I don't just forget about looking for a job altogether and tbh nor do I.

You seem relieved to have finished your piece of work - any more in the offing?

pickledsiblings · 23/04/2012 14:27

I love Bonsoir's attitude to SAHMdom. Bonsoir, did you have a period of confusion before you settled into your role?

MarshaBrady · 23/04/2012 14:32

I know what you mean. My project is with the client for a month now while they decide what to do. I'm a bit over the freelance thing, being available all the time etc . Part of me would just prefer to run it properly.

Ds2 starts nursery in a few months and I am looking at studios. They are hideously expensive. But I'd love to have somewhere to escape the family and surrounds to work.

I am on the last leg of waiting for this and am very ready for a change of scenery. Can't wait.

pickledsiblings · 23/04/2012 14:43

Studio would be great Marsha, good luck with your search Smile.

MarshaBrady · 23/04/2012 14:54

Thanks Pickled Smile

Bonsoir · 23/04/2012 17:01

LOL pickled, no, I don't feel confused one little bit because my FT career job was entirely incompatible with any shape or form of domestic life/workable relationship/bringing up of DC etc. But I do have a lot of interesting things to do PT which, if I am honest, I now realise I am very fortunate indeed to be able to do and most mothers are unlikely to have those sorts of opportunities (I wasn't always aware of this). I got a great invitation just today to be part of a new committee at HEC - these things sort of turn up for me - it's a fluke of circumstance.

AntPants1 · 23/04/2012 17:52

Hello all. I see bloss, fritzi and pickled are keeping track of my movements!!!!! I have colours tomorrow and had consultation with surgeon about reduction today. Was all fine. Am a good candidate and we agreed I'd have it done in September. I know I sound really calm/ glib. Actually I was really really nervous. I had to sit with breasts out so he cold have a look- which was understandable but a bit ( very) daunting. Especially being so scrutinised. He agreed about the deep strap marks in my shoulders, my stoop and the shear size of them. He even agreed about my breasts coming out to the side. Apparently he is going to use lipo on that bit as is less invasive. The operation will take 2/3 hours. And now I AM NOT GOING TO THINK about it any more or I will go loopy with worry. I am just so keen to get it done. Just think of the S&B opportunities!

I also had my hair done. So busy day all in all. Also popped into Jigsaw and got some really nice Agnes alikes to replace my Wendy Gap Zip trousers which I have worn to death.

Will report back tomorrow and let you know how colours day goes. Am really looking forward to it.
