Hi Everyone,
Haven't managed to post for quite a while. We have been back in the UK for several days now but have been exhausted and really struggling with the jet lag too, NY. I totally agree that the DC find it so much easier. Our older two are v good with flights but we flew during the day both times so lots of film watching rather than sleeping sadly. DD2 was quite bouncy a lot of the time so not much chance to relax but she is such a sweetie that it is hard to get cross!
Singapore was v relaxing. It was quite interesting how much the rest/ great food helped the usual pregnancy symptoms. My SPD got much better after the first week so was comfortable walking a mile or so. My reflux was much better when I ate at PIL's house (majority of the time). I ate a lot but v healthy-lots of rice, green Chinese veg, lentils, fish, lean meat, freshly squeezed juice, fruit. Perfect but just not possible to manage 4 dishes per meal at home!
I did some browsing in S/pore but not too much buying as prices certainly no cheaper. I did buy a lovely fitted blazer from Zara- cream with navy polka dot turn ups- (doesn't seem to be available here) plus Chanel foundation and a lipstick on duty free.
Tried on some Oasis Cherry Jeans the other day and really liked them plus the fantastic range of colours. Also tried on the TS Jamies in S/pore but they made my legs look like sausages! I've definitely put any increase in weight on to my behind and upper legs (typical pear).
Saw this clutch bag here in Oasis- v pretty (not best quality obviously) but good for the price.
Really sorry to hear about your friend's husband, Georgina. I hope that they can keep the momentum going with the search.
Hi suburban- great blog. You look fabulous on a budget- v inspiring.
Hope new babies are doing well, MIM, Blue and icey. Hope bf going better now MIM
Good luck with ttc no.3 annie. When are you off to India? How exciting! I do love the way you put things with regards DC, by the way. You are right about no such things as a perfect parent, etc. Most mothers tend to beat themselves up too much. As an aside, was going to ask whether you have a provisional date for the Summer wafting (waddling in my case)?
amber- second what annie says- no reason at all why you couldn't manage three! I do think the leap from 2-3 is hard. The chaos really seems to kick in with 3. However, if you leave a bigger gap, it is definitely easier. The tough years go on for longer but the stress at any one time is lower! You are so young still and have lots of time on your side.
pickled- am intrigued by your new job. Ditto your new business, reine :)
Still thinking of getting the Me and Em dress (the new Janice). Trying to decide whether I would get enough wear out of it to justify the cost. Unlikely to be worn at all in the next 6 months for starters- hmm. Hopefully- do you mind if I ask your advice re colours. I think that I am probably a deep Autumn like you. I am thinking of the navy of the brown colour (khaki looks a bit greyish). Any advice? Was also thinking of dyeing this shirt. The fabric is so lovely and soft and the cut good on me, I think. However, the pale blue is dreadful. I was thinking of using Dylon and trying to make it cream or beige as there appear to have some sort of product that you can use to make it white/ neutral before dyeing. I thought that you would be the person on the thread most likely to have experience of this!
Epic post. Well done to anyone still reading!
