thought i ought to do a public service and announce it properly as hardly anyone seems to know you can buy this stuff to use at home - and it works out sooo much cheaper than having it done at a salon even tho it's the exact same stuff.

i've only used it once so far (for 3 mins) but have been properly amazed by the results - as i posted on another thread, my 11s have reduced by 50% [holy grail] and my skin generally looks brighter and more even.

you do it weekly, building up the time over 6 weeks and then have a break.

don't forget to get the neutraliser (apparently just bicarb but maybe has crushed fairies' castles in it too so your choice) and use sun block in the day.

4th sizzle with 20% Salicylic this evening - 4 minutes.

I went with Salicylic as I get acne. The permanent bumps on my chin which erupt on a monthly basis have completely gone. I also experienced the blackheads standing out of my face by themselves It's been a miracle. I think Salicylic seems a bit more vicious than the Glycolic as boy does it burn when it goes on, and I have peeled a fair bit. Bloody love it though. This has done more for my acne than the zillions of other treatments I've tried, including antibiotics and Nlite laser treatment.

BF is now going to try GA!

I have finally done my first sizzle. 3 minutes, GA 30%. Skin feels very tight, but no stinging, itching or anything. Rhino Hide?

MissBee I think you are using the night cream. Do you use it on sizzle night? And why have you still got your Christmas name? {confused] (FoundWanting here )

i'm allowed to start my next course this weekend - haven't been arsed to get any other acid so i guess i'll boringly just do the 30% GA again. tbh i've been put off the SA after hearing about the actual peeling anyway.

who's thinking about course 2 and what will you do?

i dunno whether to just restart the course like before or freestyle it like LtheWife suggested - alternating 4 mins then 8 mins i think she said.

How bad is the peeling afterwards? Coverable with makeup? Or everyone can see?

Season I've only done three but have ordered the 50% to use for 5&6 before I take a break.
Out of interest, why do they say to take a 2w break after 6? Why not just do one every week as they are low strength? The skin is renewing all the time, isn't it?

Am sizzling as we speak. Just cheeks and jaw line where pigmentation is bad. It's deffo showing improvement.

I just apply oil after sizzling but do find the night cream good. I'm almost aching for the hydrasizzle acid thingumy.

Since we met in the Bumsex café, something dreadful has happened to me. I think my portrait in the attic has been destroyed, and I have aged a good ten years seemingly overnight. Plus horrific weight gain and turning grey rapidly. It's all falling apart.

And let's not talk about the bastarding Health and Safety shoes rules.

I used Neal's Yard Rose facial oil post-sizzle - excellent, I recommend it. Have got the night cream and will start using that tonight. Skin doesn't look any different, but feels good. I'm going to up the time to 5 minutes next week.

I'm surprised you feel the need with your peaches and cream complexion. You are going to look about 15 after 6 weeks. Perhaps we should have had a before and after meet-up? x

i'm on holiday now, still have peeling nose (1 wk on from peel 5) and have nice spot coming on nose so might have to bite bullet and do peel 6....am deffo trying lactic or glycolic after this

Decide since no ill effect form yesterday, would be bold and do a small section between my eyes, ( where I have had a large spot/blackhead ( kind of a small boil looking thing with a blackdot interior - I know, sounds lovely for a few months, and applying spot cream has made no difference, and to the nose whch has some small blackeads.
So at the risk of unbalancing my face with a younger looking nose I appled the GA 30% again today for a few mins, no tingling, and then boldly decide to put the spot cream in a thin layer i n that same areaafter. ( The spot cream contains salycilic - unspecified amount.)
That was about 6 hours ago - that horrible spot/blackhead had visibly shrunk to be almost invisble and the black dot in it bit has gone......????????
I cannot believe this, have been having to artfuly arrange my fringe to cover for work etc as very conscious of it. As it is now - could happily not.
Keep surreptitiously looking @ myself in the mirror.

Ok I've had my GA 30% for weeks but tonight is the night! Had to hold off as had a reaction to something and my poor face was sore and sensitive. It's all recovered so now I'm going to melt it!

Blackhead porn, how can you leave it????

What do you do if the peel reveals blackheads/blocked pores, as in right ay the surface or sticking out? My chin looks gross. Am I supposed to leave them til next peel?

The peeling with both is pretty harsh, dd 8 won't come near me unsightly even with slapping on the slap. Burns like a fucker, not for the faint hearted

I've ordered the Tweezerman thingy. So hopefully they'll be nice and raised for when it arrives. Failing that, I can always use a pore strip.

Superfically (is that how it's spelt)? my skin looks different. loooking in the 7x mirror I can't see much difference, but using ordinary mirror it looks smoother(?).

I put my usual amout of foundation on yesterday, but it looked too much. It's weird, I can't figure it out.

Did x2 shizzle 30% GA last night. 4 mins. Had a mole removed from the side of my nose on Tuesday, so was VERY careful to avoid the wound and skin around it. This morn, there is no redness. Skin is looking brighter. I Also put some on my old crone hands for 5 mins. No discernible difference, but have also got 50% GA so may use this for the backs of the hands in future.

arggh, I'm starting course 2 tonight and can't decide how long to leave it on for. should i:

a) alternate between 4 mins and 8 mins each week as LtheWife suggested?

b) restart the course from 3 mins, working up by a minute each week?

Season, are you using a higher %?
If no, then why start at 3 mins again? Surely if you can tolerate 7/8 mins then do that?
