thought i ought to do a public service and announce it properly as hardly anyone seems to know you can buy this stuff to use at home - and it works out sooo much cheaper than having it done at a salon even tho it's the exact same stuff.

i've only used it once so far (for 3 mins) but have been properly amazed by the results - as i posted on another thread, my 11s have reduced by 50% [holy grail] and my skin generally looks brighter and more even.

you do it weekly, building up the time over 6 weeks and then have a break.

the magic goo is here: www.bravuralondon.com/glycolic-acid-30.html

don't forget to get the neutraliser (apparently just bicarb but maybe has crushed fairies' castles in it too Hmm so your choice) and use sun block in the day.

anyone a veteran of the stuff and care to share your results?

p.s. i don't work for bravura and i'm a MN regular recently name-changed to separate my S&B chat with my over-sharing on other threads.

I've just received my lactic 50%, will see if I get time to do it later. It says on the Bravura site that LA is milder, so decided to skip the 30% and go straight for 50%.

Wish I'd got the hyaluronic serum, too, but then I wouldn't be sure which marvel product was working, so will maybe introduce it later, when/if LA does its sterling stuff.

happy2bhomely · 20/04/2012 11:21

mrsguy Holland and barratt will do some sort of oil, but maybe just a cheap vit e oil from superdrug?

cocolepew · 20/04/2012 13:46

MrsGuy, poor MrGuy is going to be so disappointed on tuesday Sad

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 20/04/2012 13:52

Am about to do it!
Mr Guy has emailed to ask if he should be prepared to notice me looking different tonite - have told him he can make up his own mind.
(and if he's disappointed on Tuesday I'll think of a way to make it up to him...Wink )
Am out with some other old mums the girls this evening - hope do not tuen up looking too red faced & scabby Grin

KeepOrfThemCarbs · 20/04/2012 14:02

You shouldn't be too scabby MrsG - I wasn't scabby at all, or red, just tight skinned and smooth looking after my first go.

Have you got some high spf? You need to put that on after if you are going out.

Good luck. I am having my 3rd application tonight.

cocolepew · 20/04/2012 14:06

I bought my bicarb from Asda, so I can sizzle.

if anyone is looking for a new foundation (going completely off track) Revlon Photofinish is lovely, and £3 off in Boots .

KeepOrfThemCarbs · 20/04/2012 14:07

I really rate Revlon makeup, but alwasy seem to bypass it as it it stuck in a 90s timewarp. When I do buy Revlon stuff though I am always impressed.

cocolepew · 20/04/2012 14:15

I bought Photofinish primer as well, I've not used it before. When I got to the counter there was £3 off both things, though it wasn't advertised Grin

DoUntoOtters · 20/04/2012 14:26

Has the primer got an SPF?

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 20/04/2012 14:39

Did it, slight stingyness, but only what I'd get putting anything on my scrubbed clean cleansed face. Put some bottom butter on afterwards. Feels slightly tender - suprisingly little effort - I think I can mange that once a week...

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 20/04/2012 14:41

(re the primer - as I like Smashbox, today bought some Lanacane gel which is supposed to be the same ingredients - vair cheap...- presume no sunscreen in it because of where it is suppose to be applied Grin)

DoUntoOtters · 20/04/2012 14:44
Grin
cocolepew · 20/04/2012 15:39

MrsGuy you really are sending out the wrong signals!

Will check primer spf later.

happy2bhomely · 20/04/2012 16:37

Ok, so I did another 2 minutes (2nd go) 24 hrs after the first 2 minutes. I'm too impatient! Seriously, my skin has never looked this good. I picked the kids up today wearing just some bb cream and mascara, and my 11 yr old son said "Mum, what have you done to your face?" I panicked thinking maybe I was glowing pink, but he said "You kind of look like a doll, your face looks soooo smooth-you just need to get rid of your moles and your face would look perfect!" Shock

I'm only 29 (almost) so don't have any wrinkles, but my pores are invisible and and I must say that other than my dark eye circles, my skin looks flawless.

I'm so pleased! Can you tell? Smile

cybbo · 20/04/2012 17:55

My H has just said I look 'really glowy adn young'

I cannae believe it

cocolepew · 20/04/2012 17:57

cocolepew · 20/04/2012 17:58

cocolepew · 20/04/2012 17:58

cybbo · 20/04/2012 18:04
