MiM hooray!!! So glad to hear the wonderful news, congratulations! Looking forward to seeing pics!

We have a south west facing garden and I actually find it a bit of a pain! Because we have big French doors into our living room when the sun is out in the afternoon it is basically unbearable to be in there as you just go blind! Fine in the summer when you just go outside, not so good in winter!

I've found Gap really good this season, in fact I'm sitting here in my lilac skinnies right now!

You are very good at shopping Decam! I always lust after everything you link to! Cardigan is a tricky one; it probably is a bit much to spend, but imagine it will be a very useful thing and that colour will be good on you. Think the rasberry top is my fave, but they're all lovely. Broderie top is lovely; have twigged that peter pan collars look silly on me though and, as such, am selling my leather-collared Whistles one on Ebay.

AmberNectarine · 21/03/2012 13:51

Ooh decameron I have been eyeballing that navy NF for a while - the My wardrobe pic with the godawful skirt has been clouding my judgement. Is it lovely IRL?

Am also torn (can anyone tell DD is napping and I am ignoring the mountain of chores to do?) between one top in different colours. Can't decide if I'd look better in a light khaki or a rose pink.

MarshaBrady · 21/03/2012 13:53

NY the aus dollar is do strong now. Higher than the US for the first time I can remember. My sister in Perth is feeling the advantages of a super salary and her dp too.

Very different to 8 or so years ago when dh and I splurged on everything. As was £1 to $3! Incredible change.

MarshaBrady · 21/03/2012 13:58

Lovely links Decam, fab you can come too.

Interesting Amber, I have always wanted a sw garden but will admit early morning sun in the bedroom (no curtains, fine as no one can see in) is a great imperative for getting up early. Plus morning coffee in the sun of course.

MrsCampbellBlack · 21/03/2012 13:59

Dec - I love that boden blouse and very nearly ordered it then recalled I have pretty much identical one from whistles last year.

I tried on a lovely jacket today here but would wear it undone. Figured its a better version of a biker for me than leather and would work well with my white and brightly coloured skinnies. But the arms were a little wide - do you think it would be easy to get them taken in a bit so they were narrower? How fussy am I??

Also tried on white city shorts in the white co which were rather nice although a tad too wide for me. So may get some white shorts for the summer.

My weight has been the same for 5 weeks now and I need to lose the final 7lbs which I fear means very reduced rations.

Our garden is south facing and gets a lot of sun which is fab and we do have spectacular views - watched the deer in the fields most days at the moment. However also have little gifts most mornings at the front door of a selection of dead rodents [the rural dream] Wink

MarshaBrady · 21/03/2012 14:02

I love London for sure, but gazing at deer sounds very lovely!

Decameron · 21/03/2012 14:18

I might go back and change the cardigan for a summer dress, I bought it in House of Fraser so can change it and really like Nicole Farhi at the moment. Amber, yes the NF top is really nice on, very similar to the Me and Em one (which I shrank!). Sizing is on the generous side.

I have just overheard DD1's little friend ask her to marry him, awww. They are not even 4!

MrsCB, I almost ordered the navy blouse as well but remembered I have the navy Whistles one from last year just in time. Blush Lovely jacket, I'm sure you could get the sleeves taken in. Views of Bambi sound gorgeous but ugh to rodents!

We are away 31/03 until 10/04 but if you are meeting up after that, we'd love to come.

Red, I think rose pink.

blue2711 · 21/03/2012 14:19

Congratulations mim! Well done. So thrilled for you. Hope you're feeling ok. Thinking of you.

notyummy · 21/03/2012 14:20

Just nipped into town for a few last minutes holiday things (decided DD needed a new swimsuit) and saw Red's dress in Whistles window. Made me think of Saturday night!

Bit worried about DD tbh - she started a cold on Sunday, but was up for 2 hours last night with the most awful hacking cough that sounded almost like whooping cough. No temp this morning and ate breakfast, and desperate to go to school as some special activity planned. Have got a doctors appointment for early evening as this was how both bouts of pneumonia and trips to hospital started. Please, please let it just be a cold.

Decameron · 21/03/2012 14:26

Fingers crossed it is just a cold, NY.

Hmm, am going to JL to buy sleep suits for the baby tomorrow. Might accidentally stumble into womenswear and try it on. Thanks for the info decameron.

ny I really, really hope she gets better soon a. because it would be awful for her to be so unwell again and b. because you're about to head off on your much longed for holiday! Will keep everything crossed for you.

Pharmacist wont sell anything like that to any child under 12 Annie - rules changed apparently. Ibuprofen/paracetomal and at a stretch piriton because it sometimes dries up sniffles slightly. I have bought everything they would sell me!! Will see what doctor says. TBH, she seems ok, if a little tired, this morning. Just so awful last night.

blossoming · 21/03/2012 14:33

Just quickly, red, does it pass the printer paper test Wink
ny, really feel for you.

Russianred · 21/03/2012 14:35

Thanks ladies, rose pink it is. Will link to it a little later.

Blue, MiM, Icey - I have just unearthed my wrap sling (it is a teal Moby). If any of you could make use of it, just say and I'm more than happy to send it on to you.

NY I have everything crossed for you that it is just a cough. Goodness.

Bless your DD Decam. DS is marrying DD apparently, so think things are looking much better your end. He made a little friend today in the playground
called Angus and spent the journey to pre-school asking me many questions about 'Anchor'.

Decameron loving the NF purchases, tried my grey striped t shirt on again yesterday and love it (tho kinda hoping it does shrink a little in the wash!). I was v close to buying the navy top as well as v flattering on. I like the cardi but think you could find v similar in the autumn for less money eg Boden or White Company? Depends if you want it to wear now tho?

Mrs CB think JL had that jacket in store in grey. I prefer the navy tho, very nice.

IceCreamCastles · 21/03/2012 16:02

Thanks for offer red but I already have my very own teal Moby! Thinking about getting it out soon- presume it will be ok to use after c section?

Hope all is well MiM- so excited for you!

Decameron · 21/03/2012 16:47

I bought that striped top last year in another colour, Ollie, very nice. I tried on the cardigan again and it's nothing special so going to exchange it for something else. I was too keen to spend my House of Fraser gift card!

Anchor, very cute, Red. DD1 calls her friend Sophia sofa.

Hope your DD will be ok, NY.
