MiM congratulations! Wonderful news, a good weight!

Anniemac the green maxi gives you the most bang for your £. The colour would love great on you, just as long as you don't feel the front is too low. Oh actually I remember our bra conversation, you'll be fine Wink Grin.

Momin fantastic! and Ants fab! Be great to see you both again.

Really enjoying our garden atm. Lots of blossom and magnolia trees in full bloom and very pretty. Actually it's mostly all blossom, magnolia, camellia, daffodils and loads of roses. Which will be later on.

Ours is south east. Which actually isn't that great for evening but fantastic for sunny breakfasts and late lunch. When the sun disappears at 5.00pm I go in and the living room and kitchen are full of west facing sun so I don't feel too bad. For sure will get south west facing for next garden however.

And really hard to find things that flower, although blossom and roses do go very well so luckily I like them.

Haha rules, phwaw they never last long on here Grin. But no you musn't.... (is that helping?)

Haha. Mine is quite random, but the previous owner landscaped it with a box hedge rows and two bay trees either side in pots. About 70% of the rest we have planted. I'm flower happy, no pretty flowers or leaves and they're out!

VerityBrulee · 21/03/2012 12:30

Annie I love the maxi, I imagine it would look great on you!

Marsha There are lots of blossom trees around us right now, the magnolia is out now and is beautiful, but it's cherry blossom that I really love. There is a road near the school, 50 weeks of the year it is an ordinary suburban street, you wouldn't give it a send glance. But for 2 weeks, late April, early May when the blossom is out it looks really magical. I have been known to just park the car and sit looking around for a while Blush

Bloss did you get the bikini? Great to hear you have solved the scarf and cardigan problem, I need to start shopping from my wardrobe as we have so much expense coming up with the house, not to mention 3 birthdays in 5 weeks.

I think for me shopping is all the 'thrill of the chase'. I love that obsession with finding the perfect white jacket or whatever, and the little adrenaline rush when I find it, and then I move on to the next thing. I need to find a more constructive way to channel my energies Grin

Congratulations MIM!! Hope you are resting and enjoying your gorgeous girl.

MarshaBrady · 21/03/2012 12:47

Verity I'm the same, every year the blossom near ds1's school takes my breath away a little, as do the autumn leaves which are astoundingly red. Each year I check on the many blossom trees in the garden and will them to flower at the same time. I will admit I am highly affected by colour and surroundings - which is probably quite apparent by now Grin

And yes to thrill of shopping. And it's worse for me online, and with NaP, outnet, Matches especially. I'm sure my 'type' is documented somewhere in online shopping strategy - the thrill seeker. Will adore pressing 'purchase now' and will getting nice emails, packaging and dhl delivering things.

Anniemac those dates look good.

Slaymill · 21/03/2012 12:56

Internet playing up again ... so pleased when I did log on to read the happy news Congratulations MiM

Enjoying the imagery of your garden Marsha

I didnt have a garden for 6 yrs until DP did the landscaping last year we lowered the entire garden. First time I can see Spring blooming. I dont live too far from David Austin which is great for inspiration.

Very restrained Annie I feel guilty sometimes where do you draw the line between need and want ?

Momin thank you for your kind wishes :)

OllieinOrange · 21/03/2012 13:10

MiM wonderful news big congratulations. Hope you are feeling ok and being well taken care of. Looking forward to hearing what you have called him.

Its official, Im more excited ahout DS2s party than he is. Managed to get everything I need in 2 shops. Love it when a plan comes together.

Ive put the dress from yesterday on hold til Saturday so DH can see it. Meanwhile saw this lovely linen jacket in there. The black trim is actually a zip that goes all the way round and its shorter and a bit of a darker cream in real life. Very W&A i thought?

Russianred · 21/03/2012 13:15

Bloss Is this top white?!

OllieinOrange · 21/03/2012 13:25

Oh I like that Red Like the contrast stitch belt on the New Arrivals too.

Russianred · 21/03/2012 13:32

Am enjoying the talk of gardens, btw. Our back garden is a barren wasteland, filled with rubble from the extension and piles of wood. There are a few ride-ons and slides out there too which contribute further to the depressing outlook. DH's Step-Dad is a landscape gardener though, so he will be having a long week here in May to sort us out. Nice magnolia in the front garden though that is just waiting to bloom.

Marsha/Annie, I'll join you for a waft around a park. Just give me a head's up as to when; half-term week if you're off Annie or a Saturday are best for me.

Dress sounds promising Ollie.

MiM I can't remember any of your name choices and am wondering what you are going to go for. Something classic to match DS' name, I'm guessing. Hope you're recovering well and enjoying your lovely first cuddles.

Russianred · 21/03/2012 13:33

Nice, hey? I'll be really happy if Bloss confirms that she likes it and it is indeed white and not bone.

Congratulations, MiM, great news!

Belated congratulations to you too, ItsNotUnusual.

Reine, I don't think I am too far for you to meet up, I'm always around! DD1's birthday is not until April, just ordered her cake today (no way am I attempting it when Waitrose can do it so much better).

Annie, lovely dress.

I'm on for a summer meetup with the DC.

NY, my brother and sil live in Melbourne, she says that it is really expensive and not great choice so she orders her clothes from her or the US. So you are right to buy before you go!

Rufus, re the majors, I am not sure what shape I am, I used to be long and lean but not so much anymore! Best to try before you buy if possible. I still have my First Communion veil, keeping it in case the DDs make their communion. I also remember arguing with my mother about the dress, I wanted OTT (I was only 7!), she wanted simple and ivory. She picked in the end but I was allowed choose pale pink shoes).:) I will be home over Easter, will give you a call.

Belated congratulations to you too, ItsNotUnusual.

I met a friend for lunch and then bought this striped top, this navy top, this shirt and this cardigan yesterday. Not sure about the cardigan though I like it on, is it too expensive for what it is? I like the Liberty print top they show it with but it is really boxy on. I also ordered this Me & Em dress and Boden blouse. So it was a good afternoon, all in! I am trying to resist raiding my AH sale fund and buying a new pair of skinny jeans. I'm weak, though.

Bloss, Nicole by Nicole Farhi have a navy cardigan but I can't find it online and sounds like you are sorted now.

DD1 has a friend over, they are picking up worms outside right now, lovely. For dinner, apparently. I think I might order in!

Russianred · 21/03/2012 13:42

Annie am sending you a PM.
