Amber, here's one for you. Must stop it with the browsing and go and clean tidy my house.

Slaymill · 29/03/2012 11:55

Happy Birthday small Ollie shame about leopard shorts I`m looking for navy/ white ones.

Interesting to hear any angle on the Pistols I might try them to get them out of my system then move on...Grin

Re Shopbop very annoying Marsha & bloss

All this hoilday talk is making me Envy Must book a mini break Friday night to Sunday as August is the first time I will have DP not on a contract.

Red your DS sounds gorgeous.

Chan Luu not very inspiring on ON perhaps they sound the best stuff did buy some See Chloe Sandals I had too only one my size left.

surburban love the colour orange and navy too.. well anything and navy.

amber I will keep a look out for a maxi.

IceCreamCastles · 29/03/2012 12:07

Like the scarf pickled/red.

Meant to say thank you to slaymill re Abney and teal times- have put a whole weeks worth on to record. Dd overjoyed Smile

Slaymill · 29/03/2012 12:29

Your welcome Icey we are watching "The Train" now having cuddles before lunch.

VerityBrulee · 29/03/2012 12:38

Hello Smile

I have been a bit overwhelmed in RL this week, but ds2's teacher has helped matters by admitting he has handled the school situation badly so hopefully we are over the worst. It did make me long to go back to the toddler stage for a while though Wink

Happy Birthday to mini Hopefully, Marsha, Pickled (hope I haven't missed anyone!)

Dd's 8th birthday today! I know so many people, including me, born in March Confused Dd was thrilled with a Sylvanian hotel, crafty stuff, patent shoes and her first trench!

I am going to do an Easter themed party, I would be so, so grateful for and ideas for games/crafts. My brain is a bit fried at the moment, I wish I could postpone the party for a week!

I am trying to picture myself lying beside Bonsoirs pool. I want to buy something from Violet Lake simply because of the name Smile

VerityBrulee · 29/03/2012 12:50

just found this, should get me on the right track.

Hopefully · 29/03/2012 12:52

Thank you for the happy birthdays for DS2 and happy birthday to all the other mini W&Aers celebrating soon.

We are having a fun day driving to my mother's - has just taken us 30 mins to find a petrol station with any diesel left Shock. Had presents and cakes yesterday as DH won't see DS2 today.

Phew, it's hot!

AmberNectarine · 29/03/2012 13:05

Well, MaxiQuest continues. Diesel was nice but totally the wrong colours, cream and almost a dark teal, no Splendid or GP to try, though saw GP top in same stripe fabric and was a bit flimsy so probably a no. Will probably order Splendid to try. Also tried on this which although not Maxi might do.

Tried the Uniqlo slim fit chinos on RG's recommendation and they are excellent! Have purchased in navy and am using their fab free alteration service to have them taken up to a 7/8 sort of length.

Definitely try the Pistols slay, they are the best boots ever!

Am hot, may have to change into one of my substandard maxis...

IceCreamCastles · 29/03/2012 13:06

Have had a revelation: Earharts fit! So glad NY was too tall for them.

Russianred · 29/03/2012 13:10

It is a very nice scarf Icey. Glad to hear you're having lots of lovely cuddles with DS. I remember well the horrors of dressing in the first two months - I almost don't want to write it, but leggings and long tops I guess? Primark always do some good maxi dresses with elasticated tops which could be good worn with a cardigan/big scarf for whipping up and down when feeding - would leave you free to wear the big comfy knickers post-CS.

DS is rather cute - he's nearly 3 and a half Suburban and is stopping the more annoying toddler traits and coming into his own, Pickled you were right about 3 being a lovely age. He's in another one of his well-chosen combos today (he goes into his room and talks through the various options); orange t, navy shorts and bright green hi-tops. Is it awful how much pleasure I derive from this?!

Fritzi we loved The Killing.

Suburban the boots are excellent value, sadly not in my size or I would have gone for it.

Happy birthday to mini VB and mini Hopefully.

Back to unpacking, have just found all the summer stuff Blush.

Russianred · 29/03/2012 13:12

X-posts. Earharts ideal, what an excellent thought. I wore my new ones yesterday with tan hasbeen a-likes, rose pink lace tee and a denim jacket.

OllieinOrange · 29/03/2012 13:22

Its dull and overcast here today.

Icey Acessorise also has a nice butterfly scarf with a soft grey background. Enjoy your cuddles. Yes the difference between coping with DC1 and 2 is big isnt it?!
really grumpy welcome back. I love that scaf. My White Company star scarf was was v disappointing as just not big enough. Worn it once so may well ebay it in the autumn and buy yours instead
Verity draw a big rabbit and play pin the tail (could be a pom pom each?) on the Easter bunny? You could do some kind of egg and spoon race or egg rolling with their noses too? Some sort of egg decorating competition could be fun?

I really, really need some grey ankle boots. Just like my beige ones but in grey would be perfect. Cant find any anywhere. Wrong time of year perhaps?

Has anyone seen this Zara boucle style jacket? here?. Is it nice in RL or too plain?

OllieinOrange · 29/03/2012 13:33

Fritzi you looked fab in your white jeans, they really looked designer like.

OllieinOrange · 29/03/2012 13:37

Does anyone want my BNWT Top Shop ponte boyfriend blazer in grey before I put it on ebay? I love it but I need something more fitted and think I have found a good alternative. i will cover postage costs if you pay what I paid for it (40 pounds?)

Slaymill · 29/03/2012 13:51

Ollie forgot to sound well done on NL haul. Verity has a different version of the Zara boucle.

The lady at the M&S checkout yesterday had a great leopard belt with her white jeans. Anyone seen the Whistles one in r/l ??

Happy Birthday Mini Verity the only way is up now re DS.

Having discounted earharts I want them now where did you buy you pink lace tee please Red I was going to buy a silk shell from Mint Velvet but wisely said no. I`m washing my Rose James Perse so need something to go with them.

Have you tried Vince amber maxi

pickledsiblings · 29/03/2012 13:56

Ollie, I'm sure there were some grey boots on here - I had a look the other day after you posted the Hot Ice info (thanks for that btw Smile).

AmberNectarine · 29/03/2012 14:00

ollie I would, but I already have it. Know what you mean about the fit though.

slay have tried that one, was too low cut and too clingy. Lovely colours for a winter like me though.

DH has given the FC one the thumbs up. Really want a maxi though. Sigh.

Russianred · 29/03/2012 14:01

It is this one Slay which I also have in electric blue and wear all the time. Very useful. Whistles belt is lovely - I have a red snakeskin one (Pickled knows it Wink) in the same style and wear loads. I have an identical leopard one which was a Primark bargain last year at £2 and wear that constantly too.

I am sorting my clothes (still) and it would appear I have 8 Breton dresses. I have a problem.

rufus101 · 29/03/2012 14:02

Hi Ollie, I saw it in RL (when I was there getting the jeans) and it is very nice. I thought to myself "would love that but I am just too mucky". There was s similar style in navy and pink, which I was tempted by.

MrsCampbellBlack · 29/03/2012 14:04

Oh I love this weather [broken record]

Suburban - I'm south west too.

Isabella Oliver 365 brochure came through the post this morning and some very nice stuff in it.

Am in white jeans again with hasbeens and whistles chambray shirt.

Happy Birthday to all birthday people Smile

The deer and buzzards are out in force today.

Someone told me today that we're in for a long hot summer and I am so going to believe her.

I fancy a couple of maxi dresses for summer - am hoping dp do some good ones again this year.

Shopbop is only worth doing for repeat purchases or things you've tried on in RL and then the price differential really does make it worthwhile in my opinion.

Russianred · 29/03/2012 14:06

Slay if you do go for Earharts be sure to size down - mine are a 24 Shock and I'm usually a 26. They give a lot as you wear them and then tighten up again after washing.

rufus101 · 29/03/2012 14:16

Slaymill · 29/03/2012 14:23

You could start a Breton collection Grin !. Very pretty top please tell me it sizes up big as there is only XS left. -pops whistles belt in basket

Shame amber yes the colours would really suit you.

I have itchy fingers knowing the money is going in tomorrow..

MarshaBrady · 29/03/2012 14:26

Thanks for birthday wishes! Happy birthday to little Verity and little Pickled.

Slay the pistols are great and I wore them out in the end. But I wish I had sized down, I am usually a 40 and should have bought a 39.

Oh you've done so well to wait Slay. Enjoy!

Russianred · 29/03/2012 14:27

I'm an 8/10 with a large-ish chest and have got the blush in a S and it is a good fit - XS would fit elsewhere but not across chest. You know, you joke, but I was standing, gazing at all my lovely summer dresses (30-odd at last count - this is bad, isn't it?) and enjoying just looking at them. I had to give myself a little talking to and remind myself clothes are for function primarily and I was not a gallery curator Grin.
